"Disgusting!!!! Today I went to Norman Sue Bakery, I can clearly see a group of women sitting around making a pastries or roti, one woman was eating cheese puffs and drinking Tim Hortons coffee while handing the dough"
"Use to be the best but quality and inconsistency is a big problem with these guys"
I like buying their bread and tennis rolls But for the past month it no good it get blue and green two days before the expiration date. The first time it happened I call them and they say they will get back to me . That was six weeks ago no one get back to me.They quality and standard drow a lot.
Tried yr cakes n tennis rolls to see if improved. tennis rolls bland n no lemony taste. A hint of cheese in the cheese rolls n more pastry than filling in all yr cakes. Disappointed. Back to Narianes bakery even though more expensive. Quality counts. …
Really good bakery for the West Indian community. Went to get some plait bread for Xmas. Called ahead and placed my order thinking they would be sold out. But they had catered to the Xmas crowd and stocked enough for walk ins. Picked up dal
Disgusting!!!! Today I went to Norman Sue Bakery, I can clearly see a group of women sitting around making a pastries or roti, one woman was eating cheese puffs and drinking Tim Hortons coffee while handing the dough. She would take a bite,
Use to be the best but quality and inconsistency is a big problem with these guys. Black eye cake, coco bun tennis roll always taste different as if there is no recipe to follow. This weekend bought coco bun and of course tasted different.
such a diamond in the rough. A little unassuming place for n the back of a commercial plaza but the Guyanese treats and eats are far above and beyond typical food like this from other similar places. been around since '88. there's a reason
I visited Norman Sue today for pine tarts that I had been craving for a long time. I haven’t been in years so decided to visit and purchase some items. When I asked the young man if they had fresh pine tarts, he replied yes, I was like
Having not bought any products from this establishment for a many years, stopped in recently and was very disappointed with the baked products. It was quite a shock to discover that the current roll filling was mixed with raisins. The
Long standing Guyanese style bakery in Scarborough. Excellent pine tarts , plait bread , butter flaps etc… The small beef patties on the weekend is tasty . You you don’t have time to go to the factory on Ellesmere, you can can their
Go get your tennis rolls, butter flap, coco bread, dahl puri is hot and yummy. Dont forget the tamraind ball as it's made in house. The young man at the front counter was on point and very engaging and knowledgeable about all the
Picked up a pack of roti at No frills on Kennedy rd on Friday June 30 expired on the pack say Jul 6. Went to use it today July 1 and there is mold on the inside. NEVER AGAIN BUYING ANYTHING WITH THE NAME NORMAN SUE ON IT.
Getting fresh bread right off the oven is amazing. Love this place. The young man cashing you out just count the prices off his head and charge you. Please be a bit more transparent on that. Other than that no complaints.
Absolutely best Phoulorie and Potato balls! Pretty much all I buy here but the other stuff looks good too. Down a long driveway in an industrial area so could be a little hard to find first time. Great service too.
Good spot to get Caribbean baking but they could be a tad friendlier. I find I get the exact opposite of a warm welcome when I visit this business? Good products and a very cold reception.
This bakery is awesome Coconut buns are delightful. Bakes and saltfish are delectable. Price points are on point I strongly recommend this hidden gem. …
Best place for Caribbean baking. I'm from Winnipeg, and there's a place that brings in Norman Sue products. But there's nothing like fresh made-that-day baking right from the source!
Friendly service with family like treatment. Very tasty products. I live in and work in Oshawa and so, I gladly drive into Scarborough to shop at Norman Sue to get my baked goods.
Reasonably quality and priced black pudding...usually the main reason for visiting. Note: This is not the place to buy cassava pone...go elsewhere if you need that.
Nothing beats getting these pastries fresh from the factory. All the staff are extremely friendly every time I’ve been there especially when I’ve brought my kids.
Stale food and cakes during the week. I was told they are fresh on weekends. No wholewheat items. I recommend Narine Bakery for fresh and wholewheat items. More
Love this bakery! My family has been coming here for years, they are always consistent and their pine tarts and plait bread are always soo fresh, yummm!
The employees here are very rude. Their prices aren’t posted anywhere, so you have no idea if you’re being jibbed after they silently add up your bill.
Recently purchased pine tarts from this place. All dough, tasted uncooked. Terrible stomach ache after. How are they making these things. Never again
Always love their tennis rolls and look forward to getting currant rolls from them too. The young man behind the counter was personable and friendly!
Love all their baked goods (especially the tennis rolls). Can sell out of things quickly, so it's best to call ahead and put in your order. More
Fresh baked goods and fresh dhall Puri. Call before you go, though they may be closed, they may still be there and willing to accommodate you.
Best Roti around. I work in the hospitality industry and our accounts use the product often, always a popular hit with our customers!
I traveled from Hamilton on Monday. Website did not state that certain products (e.g patties) were only available on weekends.
Freshest product in Toronto, most other restaurants and stores just buy here anyway. Good prices, good product, good service
Unfortunately your blood pudding is not as tasty as it used to be. It is lacking any taste or spice and is very bland More
I've been coming here since I was a child with my parents, and now I take my daughter there. Food and service is great!
This establishment has been around for a very long time catering to many stores. Great place to get it fresh.
Best bread and tennis rolls in town. Great selection of fresh roti and a variety of Guyanese sweet stuff.
My go to spot for fresh Guyanese pastries and other goods. Great service, and great tasting foods!
Best to buy direct and freshly baked. We enjoy the cheese rolls, meat pies and pineapple tarts.
