You haven't eaten cake until you've eaten it from North Pole Bakery. Forget everything you know or think you know about good cake and don't go searching any further. I was going to order a Sfoglia for my event, but when I talked to lovely Lucia, she told me to order the FRUTTA DI BOSCO, and so happy I did! This cake was beyond compare....beautiful light and airy sponge, with layers of chantilly cream and the most luscious sweet berries around. The top of the cake was covered in the same berries. It was beautiful. When you took the first bite, the heavens opened up and Angels began to sing. Never will I go anywhere else, and their cannoli are the best around. Thank you Lucia, for the cake was the highlight of my event's dessert table. As soon as I am back in town I'm coming for another cake! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!

Decided to go try this Italian bakery as I was told they have very good cannoli What makes a good cannoli is it being freshly filled in front of you and they make the shells in house. North Pole does that very good cannoli reminded me of my trip to Sicily. Don't let the name fool you it is an Italian bakery not many places in Toronto make their shells let alone fill their cannoli shells. Very good.....

A huge hidden gem. I've been around this area for so long and I'm ashamed that only now I've started to appreciate how special this place is. I always assumed from the outside that there would only be baked goods, but there's pizza for 3.50 a slice (!), and other classic Italian dishes. It's such an authentic place and the owner of the store is really nice. Seek it out if you're ever in the area.

Delicious arancini, very good pastries. I'm happy to discover this place. We will definitely come back for those arancini and to try some other things. UPD: We absolutely love their cannoli

So glad we stopped to check this place out. Old school Italian bakery with the BEST cannoli in the east end. The ricotta filling was so smooth, creamy, and not too sweet while the shells were light and crispy. They had a ton of fresh bread, other desserts like zeppole, and a daily pasta special. Super tasty food with friendly and fast service.

Honestly it's lucky this bakery is right across the street or we might not go so often. No one ever wears masks, and sometimes the service can be slow or even borderline rude. But all of the food is amazing and well priced, so we are so grateful to have this in our neighborhood! I would especially recommend the cannoncini, it is to die for.

You know, in many ways I love this place. Small, local bakery with big offerings: cookies, terimisu, cheese cake, rolls. But, tbh, to have staff working there unapologetically unmasked throughout the whole pandemic, makes me concerned about their general food handling and health practices. Especially when you find a hair in your pizza.

-The Most Authentic Italian Experience in Toronto Used to live across the street from this place and they have great food cooked throughout the week, the store owner is the best, and the pastries are all amazing. Recommend stopping for a quick treat or to get some delicious Italian food to go.

Love the meatballs and the cannoli here - i always get the large cannolis. They have a daily changing menu, so be sure to check if you are looking for a specific dish. They typically run out of Aracinis by lunch time, but can put some aside for you if you call ahead.

It has been my dream for ever to be a 10 mins walk from a bakery that stocks fresh bread every day. Just moved into the hood and I'm hooked. To walk home wIth fresh delicious warm bread makes me very happy! The owner is a very sweet lady too.

Been in the neighborhood since the early 70's. Same owner. Beautiful lady with a nice soul. The best Zeppolli. The ricotta filled one's are extremely delicious. Huge buns for sandwiches. Incredible canolies. A true staple of the Danforth.

Foods ok” large portions but the old lady don’t know how to give change out properly I gave her a $20 for six buns which was under $5 she gave me $1.40 change “ she insists I only gave her five dollars … won’t be going there anymore.

Traditional Italian bakery with the best pasta, veal sandwiches, and pizza in the East End. You can also get almost every ingredient for your Italian recipe. It's been around forever and has the freshest homemade food. Yummy 100%!!

This place is very good. The cannolis are delish but I think are getting smaller. The hot lunch is where its at. Their pastas are fresh, authentic, and homemade. Their pizza is also excellent. Reasonable prices. Fresh bread daily.

This Bakery, owned by an Italian Mother and Daughter team, makes the most delicious pastries and pizza. The Cannolis are, in my opinion, the best in Toronto. Also, the Tiramisu and chocolate eclairs were delicious too.

I tried it and it wasnt worth a trial ! I have had fresh and good ones in Toronto but I felt sorry for myself to pick some,on way to my friends! :( Disappointed. I am not sure how is it being recommended for cannoli!

My family has been coming since I was a kid and has some of the best Arancini. Good size, tasty, and great price. Awesome for a drop-in snack and even more on the menu.

  • Isabella

Classic danforth spot with authentic Sicilian treats & food, my family has been coming here since the time they came here! Best Cannolis & arancini in the city!

  • Vijay V

Really authentic Italian dishes and desserts. They also stock sauces, cheeses, meat and other bakery products. The cannolis are probably the best on the East.

  • kinley wangmo

Had this cannoli for the first time, the cover was crisp and fresh and the cream inside was dense with not too sweet filling. Greater customer service …
