I recently had a series of unfortunate experiences in the food court that left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. It was disheartening to witness staff members kicking people out seemingly for no valid reason and displaying discriminatory practices towards children carrying their own food. One of the most distressing incidents was witnessing staff members harass kids and demand that they leave simply because they had brought their own meals. Their justification of a lack of seating felt inconsistent and hypocritical when there were many empty seats available in the food court. It was evident that the enforcement of this rule heavily targeted children, as adults seemed to be exempt from such treatment. Another concerning aspect was the behavior of the security personnel. Rather than providing a sense of safety and assistance, they displayed rudeness and even resorted to swearing at patrons. Such unprofessional conduct only exacerbated the already tense and uncomfortable atmosphere in the food court. The systematic mistreatment and selective enforcement of rules greatly detracted from the overall dining experience. It left a lasting negative impression, discouraging me from returning to the food court in the future. I believe that a food court should be a welcoming and inclusive space for all, where customers can enjoy their meals without fear of unfair treatment or unprofessional conduct. While I understand that managing a food court can be challenging, it is crucial for management and staff members to prioritize customer satisfaction and adhere to a standard of professionalism. Customer service should be rooted in respect and fair treatment, regardless of age, background, or food choices. Additionally, security personnel should be trained to handle situations with tact and respect, ensuring the safety and comfort of all patrons. I sincerely hope that the management of the food court takes these concerns seriously and implements measures to address the issues raised. Everyone deserves an enjoyable dining experience, free from discrimination and rude behavior.

This centre has underground access to the subway which is highly convenient and overall a very nice place, but there are a lot, and I mean a lot of unused retail space. As shown in the picture, the level beneath the ground floor is basically just a Fit4Less, Rexall, and Subway entrance, the rest of the space isnt used. Even on the main floor there are a lot of unused space both in the food court area and just beside it. Would definitely be a much more popular centre if more of the retail space would be used. Other than, I'd say its a very nice place, that has a couple of good choices for food, a fitness centre, a pharmacy, and direct subway access.

The North York Centre building is an impressive architectural landmark that exudes sophistication and functionality. Its modern design and sleek aesthetics make it a standout in the area. The building's strategic location, surrounded by amenities and transportation options, adds convenience and accessibility for residents and visitors. While I appreciate its overall appeal and functionality, I believe there is still room for further enhancements to create an even more vibrant and engaging atmosphere. Nonetheless, it remains a valuable asset to the North York community. #ArchitecturalElegance #ConvenientLocation #NorthYorkCentre

The Centre itself was clean, brightly lit and easy to find, but the interior design in the City Centre undeground lot is horrible. It lacks clear and easy to see exit signage taking you back to street level throughout the lot, parts of the lot were poorly lit and it has a very low height clearance for vehicles. We found navigating the very tightly curved entrance ramp annoying and curbed it coming in to park. Cost-wise it a great Sunday rate, but they should really redevelop the entry and exit ramps. There weren't a lot of folks there on a Sunday which wasn't overly surprising.

Renovated building, food court moved from basement to main flr. Fast food outlets $$. They do have a subway sandwich but it seems more $$ than other locations. The NEW 6flr North York library is opened up spacious with many study cubicles individual & for reserved group usage. Access 1-4 only. Library Reno still in progress. Still yet to try out but looks very impressive. Wish their WE hrs were more extended esp. SUN. 1:30pm -- 5:30pm. Only??? There is non profit women's clothes org. Dress for success. Farmers market on Thursdays only. Check with building management.

For 11 bucks a month, you can't beat the value. There is a $45 initiation fee. They have pretty much all the machines you could want. There is no wifi or towel service, but what do you expect for $11? The place is clean with well maintained equipment. There are on demand video classes apparently. Great location which I can walk to in about 5 minutes (underground!). Don't get ripped off by Goodlife, even though it's the same company. I still don't know how that works. Feel free to say hi if you see me on the treadmill. :-)

North York Center is a popular shopping mall located in Toronto. It's a go-to spot for many locals and visitors alike. The mall offers a wide range of shops, from well-known clothing brands to electronics and more. You can also find various dining options that cater to different tastes. With its convenient location and diverse selection of stores, North York Center shopping mall provides a great shopping and dining experience for anyone in the area.

The North York Centre is a commercial block that has a few stores, bank offices, a food court, pharmacy and Toronto Public Library. It connect directly to the North York Centre Subway Station. During lunch time it serves the busy office crowd and transit passengers. It has one of the best public libraries in the city with a tech and sewing hub, which serves the local community. If your in the area this is an interesting place to check out.

The place is clean big bright and spacious, it has a subway underground access. Some shops, hair salon , public library and some financial institutions and access to government offices and an underground passage to empress walk and its grocery store and movie theater and lcbo and shops. You can also access Gibson square and public parking spaces from here. It is overall a very good place in the heart of North York.

It's actually a really nice and spacious atrium style office buildings. My favorite part is, unsurprisingly, the big atrium that is between the 2 towers. And if you can see a big food court and many cafes as well as many little services and corporate banks as well, so there's really a little bit of everything that you need. It's great For some indoor walking as well because the space is so ample.

Lobby was a bit small for our large team to gather in the morning, but lovely breakfast dining are with super attentive staff. Room was very clean, nice newer style shower head- easily adjustable. I was on the 11th floor. Hotel 'attached' to food court/subway/and more which is fantastic so you don't have to go out on rainy/snowy days. Would stay here again :)

  • Areez Remtulla

This building is quite beautiful it has a huge foyer, nice cafeteria, access to the North York library, and to the subway, also a novhotel a part of this building, when I did not live in Toronto this was an ideal place to stay because it was less expensive than the hotels in core downtown but the access to subway made everything very convenient

  • RSH DVP

Lots of space to move around, plenty of seating, 6 floor library open late Monday to Friday, access to TTC subway, events in the summer and ice skating in the winter. Community groups, fitness centre, retail outlets, financial institutions, pharmacy and much more. *A quiet place for remote work, school projects and first dates!

A pretty small and fairly lacking mall. The food court doesn't provide many choices. However, every Thursday there is an excellent farmers market. The library which is attached to the mall has excellent programming, but it can be a touch noisy on the first two floors due to the young families in the children's area.

  • A Lacaba

I pass by here often since it’s connected to my nearest subway station. The library is connected here, there’s a hotel, food court and one of my favourite food spots, Centre Cafe. I hope more stores and food places open up soon, some of them closed due to the pandemic. Overall, can’t complain that I live near here!

  • Michael James C

It has everything i need. But there is no cohesive opening closing hours in the mall which should remain the same for all businesses but it seems to me RioCan has really dropped the ball in a lot of their properties by letting business keep their own hours. The health food guy is hit and miss as to when he is open

  • Maryam Arfaei

I cannot believe that your customers are so rude and considered making everybody I know Dana upset and I’m not supposed to say that from now on I never gonna put my feelings Easter ever again you guys destroy my life making me some kind of a position that in my parents never trust me to come to is that ever again

  • Gordon Morrison

I wouldn't call this a shopping mall, very dark, good food court, not many stores, drug store, bank, convince stores(2), guess I shouldn't complain bought a $3 lottery ticket and won $175, on the Subway line connected to Empress Walk, Loblaws, Lcbo cinema with the scariest escalator I've ever seen.

  • Piyush Bomidwar

Some shops and food court. Thai, Greek, Mediterranean, Mexican & Juice stands are there. Food is mostly good. There's also rexal pharmacy downstairs. Empress walk plaza opposite this center has lot more shops including dollarama and loblaws. Both plazas have underground access to subway.

  • Samira Hay

Love this place. It is huge. You have access to North York Central Library which is perfect. You have access to North York subway station, which is only a ride away from Finch subway station, where the bus station is. This place has everything you need. It is clean, modern, and spacious.

  • Aya Toufic

Love the interior of this mall. It’s so refreshing but isn’t too big. They have a great food court and the public library which are convenient. I usually hangout at la prep cafe. They also have tables in the center of the mall with local goods which I believe is a seasonal thing.

  • K. Ru

Convenient location, lots of facilities, underground access to lablaws and Empress walk shopping mall. If you are driving -- use Empress walk parking instead of NYC's parking. It's cheaper and has early birds parking fee if you need to park for more than 2.5 hours.

  • Todd Tyrtle

Mostly abandoned, this mall has certainly seen better days. The food court has a bit of activity on weekdays. The library renovations are finished enough to open three floors up to the public and so I will have a good reason to start coming back here again soon.

  • Shhivi Wadhera

It's a decent place, it's still half empty so there aren't many stores there yet so not a lot of options to shop at there are a few stores outside the centre though, so can definitely check those out too. It's not crowded at all, so you can shop peacefully.

  • Andrea RM

They are super kind and experienced. They are always ready, they know you and they care! They have every section completely sealed off from the rest of the office, and it is impeccably clean. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Eisen and Bessie are the best!

  • Bo Yu

The electric bell on the square is nothing but a noise nuisance. It's a waste of tax payer money. Nobody needs a "clock" that is never on time and rings at odd hours of the night. People need sleep in order to work in the daytime. Just have it stopped.

  • D Mac

Love the library there. Five floors of books, computers, programs and helpful staff. All free! Lots of online stuff, too: e-books, audiobooks, films, magazines and newspapers, Safari tech books, research tools in all topics. All that and free wifi too.

  • Bud Hnilo

The security here is so rude and they don't know how to do there job and don't even know what private property is if they are protecting a private property then signs need to be put into place to know that it's private property and to not trespass

  • Kristi Block

Little mall with a subway station, a drug store, a food court, 2 clothing shops, a gift shop, a dry cleaner, a beauty salon, a chiropractor, 2 jewellery stores, a hotel, a luxury car rental, a discount gym, and the best library in North York.

  • DANGRA QUEEN

Very good food court for a business area. A variety of fast food restaurants and Booster Juice shop. Novotel hotel has it's own restaurant (Trio) which is part of the whole structure of the buildings. Flight Centre is nearby the food court

  • Mandana Attarzadeh

Beautifully designed square, a place for community gatherings and festivals and outdoor performances, it's the heart of the community, a centre for the Neighbourhood and many ethnic communities. lots of good food and local attractions

  • Erwin Sniedzins

The the people's Civic Centre place was like a tome. Empty of people services, lights out, doors lock. No business transactions available. Everyone was being paid tax dollars to stay at home. - NICE if you can get that type of job!

  • Dana Dyachenko

Every store works different hours and the food court is never open. I go to the library to study everyday and whenever I want to eat it's a struggle to find a place to sit. It is especially an issue when it's cold and raining.

  • Ella la Bella

It is not bad but needs lots of improvements. The elevators hardly moves and smell like something burning. Nearly each weekend, there is an escalator not working. I guess people mostly go there for the movies and Loblaws.

  • Noraina Mejdi

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service I received during my recent visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained.

  • Alireza Golkar

A good and quiet library. Suitable for studying and doing online work. Study rooms could be booked prior to arrival, which gives you room to do teamwork and experiences. Staff are friendly and helpful. I reccomend it

  • s j

has great library especially when you have the lil one.. lots of shops such as starbucks, some clothing stores, banks, and food courts. incase you need direction, they have direction board, so just typed in what you

  • A S

This is a review for North York on behalf of Uber Eats delivery workers. The residents of North York are the cheapest people on the planet. Cheaper than Jane and Finch. A $1 tip is considered generous around here.

  • Gloria

This location is the best place to study around here. There are plenty of seats and tables, convenient foodcourts, and coffee shops. Especially, no one complains why you are there for a long time on studying.

  • Maxim Hmel

What a great urban dwelling, the high ceiling concept makes you appreciate such progressive architecture. The library is a huge state of the art facility that has a host of amenities for toddlers.

  • Rohead109

This place has a library. Good. Food court is temporarily only available for vaccinated. But good news! They have Booster Juice! And it was so good. You need to go here if you're new to Toronto.

  • Aaron Z

We went to the drop-in Xmas photo room which was great! Lots of nice photo ops. Props to management for keeping this entire building so nice, clean and organized through these past few years!

  • Mehrzad Mehrvarz

With underground access to the subway and a range of different cuisines offered at its food court, North York Center is a suitable place for a quick bite before catching a train to work.

  • Yellowspectere _

It's what you expect from a library. Really quiet for studying, everything is clean and for conscience there are coffee shops, convince stores and a small food court for breaks and food.

  • Zoya Khasminsky

a lot of empty stores, looks half dead, concord level practicaly non existen, few places open near subway entrance ,the rest is empty and boring. The hole mall lookes ready to die, shoking

  • Robert Hilts

location of the North York Central Library and a small food court with Subway sandwiches, a Greek restaurant a Starbucks and others, across Yonge St is a Loblaws and a movie theatre.

  • Ra Ja

There is a big loblaws right out of the subway and good take out options too. There's also a Starbucks on the otherside and Mel lastman Square , a great place to hangout

  • Alicia Loo

Relatively clean station most of the time. The escalators always work compared to other subway stations. The station is also connected very conveniently to some malls.

  • P M

These malls are a digrace to Canadians. Security asks you to unplug your phone if they see you charging your phone in the food court. Capitalism is at its worst here

  • Hasan Syed

Subway accessible, has a food court, Hotel, office tower, a five floor public Library, ice rink, public park. it's a great place to visit, work and live around.

  • Kanupriya Kejriwal

Underground Parking available but pretty expensive..$3 for 30 mins.. Atleast there should be some considerations for patients coming in for the walkin clinic

  • Danny

excellent place to walk around and get some food and coffee. great atmosphere and high ceilings. Very clean food court and the library is there.

  • Dhirendra Singh Jodha

Nice bldg tons of things to be done here. Infosys office here alongwith many other companies. Direct Subway connectivity is a definite plus.

  • Robert Vincent

Somewhat newly renovated with super tall ceilings and lots of shops. Connected to the subway which is nice. Large outdoor space beside too

  • Katherine Bignell-Jones

The library is an amazing place, the food court is lame. The place is very clean, better than most even. Wish that there were more stores.

  • AlphaGamma

Not a destination, but good for after work as you transit through from the TTC to grab things on the way home. And it had a movie theater.

  • Connie T.

Great Civic Centre / Office building to pay your taxes, get vaccination. The layout of the building can be confusing to some.

  • Carlos Diaz

Wonderful place to spend a cold winter day. It's got a library too if your interested in some books or even a DVD …

  • Mo P

Very nice mall, giving 4 stars because the indoor parking is a little sketchy as the doors sometimes don't open when exiting.

  • J

The security staff consistently harasses people who have service animals equipped with the proper vests and paperwork too.

  • LaMer Rogers

There are very good employees and approachable although there was one employee (Male Asian) who has poor customer service.

  • Edicita Lmrno

I like North York Centre, but if there were more shops it would be so much better. and more variety in the food court.
