Old fashioned library. The public toilet is dirty - if you are there with newly potty trained kids you will worry they get germs using this facility. The kids book selection is nice. They have Monday & Thursday morning: singing and story time. Usually very busy mornings. Its a good excuse to go out on those days even its cold and rainy. Kids love the books and they get really busy discovering the pages. Staff is nice, anyways helpful. After school its a good place to socialize with other nannies.
Nice and quiet but with a faint musty book smell. The staff are very helpful and friendly and there's even a toilet (not the cleanest I've ever seen!). Good range of books, with new titles added on a regular basis. Update- the library has now moved to its new site across the road. It is better in many ways (eg, air conditioning) but I do miss the quirky character of the old site, which of course, is going to be turned into shops and 'luxury' flats...
This new library is really a downgrade from what it used to be. That useful machine for checking books in and out didn’t make it through the move. Returning books is now more complicated: whenever I bring them back the library is closed and the wonderful box which used to collect books slipped through the mailbox is not there anymore
A nice clean space to work or read. I understand the lack of WiFi is being fixed. A pity there's noise (on the top floor) from private tutors and their charges, who should not be there (there's a whole children's section on the ground floor)
Lovely new building. Shame about the hours! Closed on Sunday and only few hours on Saturday. There are many families that would benefit from having the library open longer hours, in particular on the weekends.
Such a good space. Polite staff and good selection of technology, useful digital services and books. Only downside is the quite noisey air-conditioning. Lots of activities for children.
One of the few Libraries that have not suffered so much from budget cuts. Suits all ages with computer facilities as well as a good assortment of books on a range of subjects.
Lovely looking library, very modern. My only complaint is that I was told there is no wifi which for me is not ideal and means I cannot use this library to get work done .
Sweet library with friendly staff. Good selection of books and computers. Useful machine to check out and return books using NFC tags.
Good selection of books but found it difficult finding things. For summer needs air conditioning.
It has a very good selection of books, and so far, I've found all the ones I've looked for.
Used to some here as a kid, the library was very big. Would recommend to work and read.
very nice, although avoid the children section during the day as it gets quite busy.
Nice and quiet. Good for young kids. A bit cut off. Not a lot of computers.
My kids love this library, everybody is really nice and helpful.
A great little library!
no wifi, sad
