It’s was an absolute pleasure doing business with Northern Motor Group. My wife and I just bought our first ever brand new Jeep Compass S-Limited 2023 model from these gentlemen and they made the process easy and straight forward. We got everything that we were missing from other dealerships and that was professionalism, customer service, an experience, we were heard as customers and received what we were asking for without the typical salesman approach or the upsell. The guys at Northern Motor group know how to do business and provide service excellence. After dealing with their General Manager - Brett Hodgson, it’s going to be tough to buy a car from anyone else because we were able to come to an agreement within a week while other dealerships were still waiting for approvals after mentioning we would buy outright, over quoting us, giving us the run around and asking us what we were willing to pay whilst confusing themselves in the process and belittling their staff during a negotiation. Without even knowing our budget, Brett came to us with a serious offer and mentioned what he was able to let the car go for and it was a great deal. Pretty simple really, how many mechanics would knowingly allow a $100k vehicle to leave their shop WITHOUt an oil cap, leaving the engine exposed to dirt, mud and moisture. When I found out the oil filler cap had ‘gone missing’ only at 5pm when I was paying the bill, the service representative replied to my question of whether they were happy to release the vehicle without an oil cap, “ Well we can keep the car for another 2 days if you like”. Absolute. Arrogance. The vehicle is now sitting at home in the street waiting for a new cap in a few days, unusable. They probably didn’t consider the whole service process required 4 hours of car and train travel that day for me. They were however quick to tell me that any electrical issue requires a $200 fee to even look at, despite me purchasing warranty with the vehicle. I wonder how much of that $200 was earnt for them to look at my cracked bumper (cracked 10 months before the front park sensors stopped working and tell me it was due to the cracked bumper ! Just jumping on to give an honest unbiased opinion on my recent personal experience with Simon.A and the family at Northern Motor Group (Jeep) in Bundoora. I purchased a Jeep Compass S-Limited, Simon.A was amazing to deal with, he stayed in touch throughout my search knowing I was looking around. The reason we traveled from Aspendale to Bundoora was based on his customer service and approachability when other dealers let me slip through the cracks. He stayed professional throughout even when I presented a difficult price point and I would not budge on $ or colour/make model and even still Simon.A and the team worked with me to achieve a middle ground we both were comfortable with. I walked away feeling appreciated and with exactly what I wanted. This was very important to me as this car was 3x the price of my last one. For anyone who is serious about buying a Jeep or any car from NMG I would say this with full confidence that at least speak with them before you buy anywhere else as they are very accommodating and provide a high level of customer experience and service.

5 stars for Nathan, 2-3 stars other areas of the team. Very pleased to have been dealing with one of the most respectful, down to earth members of the team.. who was highly knowledgeable and transparent. To be honest, if it wasn’t for this member of the team- we may not have proceeded with the Sale due to some members lacking in oversight/ organisation and accountability. Nathan isn’t the typical car sales man and is easy to communicate with/ he listens and tries to help and my goodness does he know a lot about the cars he’s dealing with. He is a wealth of knowledge with all the patience in the world! I don’t rate Northern Motor Group as a whole without going into too much detail, but Nathan had such an easy going, friendly, intelligible approach that I couldn’t ‘not’ write a review regarding his work ethic. I actually read reviews before attending Northern Motor Group and purchasing a car and was hoping to meet with Nathan, going off great reviews.. and I was lucky that was the case. Such a great asset to the company. Very lucky to have him managing customers.

This dealership!! If I could give it minus 1 I would they are absolutely horrible people no communication sale people and finance people try to rip you off even the manager passes the buck !! We where going to purchase a car but our circumstances changed dramatically we did put a deposit on the car but then notified them of cancelling the deal no one contacted us until 3 days after they tried to say we told them after the cooling off period which totally incorrect!! We still waiting for our hard earned deposit back never thought this would be so stressful how do you people sleep at night you are absolutely disgusting people DONT BUT A CAR FROM HERE EVER ! And they like to bully you and manipulate you worse experience EVER ! Ended up loosing our deposit plus more ! Hope no one else has to go through this . It’s is disgusting how they reply to your review by telling lies NO ! The matter is not been sorted you people tell me happy motoring ! Nothing happy here .. you took everything I had to get a car this car yard should be shut down !!!!

This is the 3rd car we have bought from Northern Motor Group, each time the team have been great to deal with and there are no hard sale techniques used. Yesterday we went to have a look at a Jeep Grand Cherokee and were greeted by Taylah, to say that Taylah went above the call of duty is an understatement, right from the initial meeting to picking up the new car that afternoon the whole process was so easy and pleasant. I bought a Jeep Compass 2013 model from this dealership in 2016. The car is yet to hit 160,000 km and it has already experienced 3 major issues and cost me too much. From day 1, I have been taking good care of the car and servicing at the dealer regularly. I am surprised and dissapointed that the car has already had so many problems so early in its life. I was expecting better quality from the car considering it's a Jeep, when I could gone for a cheaper Chinese model and saved myself money. With one of these problems, the dealership was far from helpful when I brought the car to them. When I was turned away the car broke down shortly after in the middle of the road. This was a major problem for me and caused a lot of heartache as I thought the dealership would have been able to help. Right now, I'm also experiencing a 4th problem with the car, it feels like these problems never end.

My husband, Paul and I went window shopping 2 weeks ago, as you'd call it, for a car. We had some idea of what we wanted with a specific spend limit. We ended going up a model once we sat in the respective cars. We had no plan on purchasing that day but when Michael Joseph made us feel welcome and came back with the price which was just over our spend limit we thought it's not that much over and decided there and then that we would purchase our MG HS Vibe 2022, which we have called "Maggie"!!! I went in to buy a brand new car, unfortunately all were on back order and I needed a car asap so I went to their used car on-site department. Well, what a great sales team. Paul, was a fabulous man who gave me great advice, and I felt like it was like my dad advising me. I actually didn't know much at all about the different car brands, but I was sold on Paul, so he was the reason I bought my car from Northern Motors. James in the finance department was also just as incredible, and I was going to go through my bank, but because of his professional attitude and gentle nature, I opt to finance through their team. Overall, I highly recommend this group for a used car or if you have time to wait, a new car. Ill be back for my upgrade for sure!!!

As getting my very first European car, Northern motor group and especially Taylah (our sales representative) from start to finish has provided exceptional service in taking care of me. Prior to getting the car, Taylah was exceptionally professional and always reassuring me that the car will be thoroughly taken care of during the processing stage and would always respond in a very well timely manner, not only that, she was super informative. My previous experiences of buying a car have been quite tiresome, unpleasant and overall off-putting to say the least, but having come to this dealership, it dispelled all previous notions of buying a car. Warning... don't buy a second hand car from this dealer... shocking service. Car brought back 2 weeks after purchase. 6 week after purchase. Then has had the same repeated issue for about 2 months finally diagnosed through someone else and dealer refusing to fix it. Haven't has the car for more then 5 months and constant issues. Get fobbed off from all of the staff there even having to get VACC involved. It's just not a rant. I don't want anyone else to have to go through what we have

I inquiried on a used ford Everest and i sent them photos of my trade in and supplied alot of photos and ask me what I wanted for the car and I said as much as can get and lets see what you come back with and now lieing saying that I wanted $20000 trade in and now doesn't reply to me at all my message s and phone calls to the salesman Paul or emails to the office and then to the website were all ignored and still no reply after 2 weeks not great customer service

Traded in my old car for a used 2010 Ford Fiesta. Fred and Nik were very helpful and considerate, and Fred let the car sell itself during the test drive, rather than some dealers who hard sell during the drive. Fred also recommended an amazing lunch spot and he was on the money with that recommendation! The bakery next to the kebab store was really good too. Overall a really nice experience, and would strongly consider going here for my next car in the future.

Another fail for the service department at Northern Motor Group. The console cover of my Ute is broken where the hinge was attached to the lid and I want to know if it is covered under warranty. They tell me I have to book it in to be inspected. For a 9am appointment they say they’ll need it til1pm. Absolutely ridiculous. It's a simple question. I've also got a fray in the seat. I wonder if that's under warranty too?
