"IT IS ALRIGHT"
Here's the thing. The library itself is okay. Not the best selection ever but I know this is not their biggest location. It's super easy to transfer books. My main issue is with the librarians. I'm new to Atlanta and have visited this library three times and all three times I've been treated absolutely horrendously. I don't know if it's my age or the way I look but the ladies there (one in particular) is always so short with me. Treats me like I'm dumb. Laughs when I ask a "dumb" question. And just acts like I'm the biggest inconvenience to her and like I'm going to steal the books or something. I absolutely hate it. I dread going to the library because of her.
This library is in a perfect location, it’s clean, safe but it is SO LOUD here! It makes me so sad cause it would have been a perfect study spot but you can’t ever focus or have peace and quiet here. The librarians talk all day with each other or with patrons. Kids run around, people talk and laugh. It’s one thing to be from the random people who come here, but the librarians actually work here and know the purpose of a library. They literally see people study and still don't quiet down. Do not come here to study or get work done, it is more for social hour which is great for some people, but not people who actually need a quiet area.
Not a quiet library. Librarians partake by talking loudly, people talk on their phones, eat food, drink. Kids run around yelling with no respect for other people and the parents don't do anything about it. They have loud music classes (drums, tambourines, singing) for kids during the summer in the main room. A couple of the librarians are flat out rude. Don't bother asking for computer help or they'll treat you like an alien. Bring ear plugs if you think you can last staying for a long time.
This library is great in terms of it being easily accessible and providing a cozy space to hunt for a book or two. There is ample parking on-site and it's situated at a traffic light, making it easier to enter/exit off of an otherwise busy street. The downside is the Northside Branch is cozy because it's small. The selection of resources is limited compared to larger locations. Be sure to checkout the bulletin board in the entryway to find upcoming events.
IT IS ALRIGHT. APPROXIMATELY 12 COMPUTERS ARE AVAILABLE FOR USE. INITIAL COMPUTER ALLOTTED TIME WAS APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES, THEN YOU HAVE TO GO REQUEST FOR MORE TIME. ALTHOUGH, 10 OF 12 COMPUTERS WERE AVAILABLE WE WAS ALLOTTED SHORT PERIODS. PLEAS, CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING- AUTO ADD 30 MINUTES (UP TO 2 HOURS) & STOPS ADDING BASED ON AUTO SINCE COMPUTERS AVAILABILITY IS AT A PARTICULAR PERCENTAGE(MAYBE 50% IN USE). O,YE', NOT NOISEY.
An excellent branch - easily accessibly, staffed with pleasant, knowledgeable professionals, attractive enough, and well maintained. The selection on site may be somewhat limited, but any material in the system can be picked up here. There is also a meeting room made available free of charge with reservations, programs for children, and, often-changing art displays. This place is a vital community asset.
This has to be the worst and loudest library I've been to. Not only are there children literally running at full speed around the library but outside as well. Instead of asking the patrons to quiet down, the staff are engaging in these disruptive conversations. I'm trying to study and left the house with a 2 yr old to have some peace and quiet but coming to this library, I may as well stayed home.
This library is not quiet. The facility itself is nice. It has personal work stations as well as tables for groups. There are no study rooms or meeting spaces which would be nice in order to shut out some of the chatter. The employees talked my entire visit. I could hear complete conversations they had at the front of the library while I was in the back corner.
This is one of my favorite libraries! The librarians are extremely nice, it's just the right size, and they stock great books. They're helpful when it comes to getting any book from any other library in the USA, too. I'm so glad they restored the full hours of operation. Hopefully the board won't reduce them ever again.
Beautiful library with great selection of books in children's section and outside. Great library programs and pretty garden outside. I love the staff too. Ms. White and Ms. Angie and Dr. D are friendly, informative, and helpful. Ms. White has been fabulous with the baby and children's program and my daughters love her!
I like this library but it's so loud! It's usually the staff talking to people at the front desk or tutors, but it's distracting. Maybe it's because it's a small library that noise is more apparent, but the staff should be more aware of how loud they're talking. Guess I'll put eat plugs in lol
This library is beautiful. I was told it was just renovated. I spent the day here using one of the rooms due to internet connection issues at home. This was the perfect place to work from. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
The ladies at this library have always been very nice and helpful every time I have been in. They are friendly and are willing to help in anyway possible- basically they seem to care! I give this location a 5 for sure!
Unfortunately it is never quiet in here. In fact, the staff takes part in, and most times initiates the loud talking without regard to other patrons. Finally, it is rather hot during warm months in Atlanta.
Great library. Staff is really friendly and helpful. My only negative observation is that it tends to be kind of dark - there's not much natural light in the middle of the library, due to the design.
I was turned away because i didnt live in the county and was told that i probably wouldnt be accountable. I work for the local ymca and am less than thrilled about this location.
I love this library. The people are always nice and welcoming to me and my niece who is six. She enjoys the kids room and I like the study rooms. It's clean and quiet as well!
This is a very loud location. The librarians are doing most of the loud talking. I thought libraries were suppose to be quiet.
Please hurry with the renovations. I miss my library!! And I hope when it re-opens, the same great staff will be there.
Location is good. I wish they were set up for personal meeting, their systems and book supply is ok.
Great place to do school work and read interesting books, I most certainly recommend this place.
Eric the gentleman at the front desk is the BEST!! HE Renewned my card and Help with Computer!!
Great location in town for early voting/Fulton County. In and out in ten minutes!
One of the louder libraries I have visited, but book selection is great.
The event spaces are also very nice. This is a classy operation.
