I have had one of my plants stolen by someone who viewed the property next door which had sales viewings over the last month. I was recommended to go to the Norwood station to make a report by the Holden Hill station when I called them to find out what I should do to recover my property. I was greeted by a very courteous gentleman who took my report of theft but his computer was apparently having issues and so would have to fill the report out by hand. I was not asked for any ID or the Real Estate office and agent who was managing the viewings. I was asked for my details and told there was nothing they could do about it. All in all, I was left with the feeling that even though I was treated courteously, I was treated like a waste of time and a very unimportant thing which should be ushered out and forgotten. Note that they could have requested the list of names of viewers from the agency and note that I had let the officer know that I had had an interaction with someone who would be the most likely suspect......the visit left me with no faith that our police care about things which are what are seen as small thefts. Courteous staff but no help.

They actually were really good to me. I borrowed my sons car then forgot where I parked it. I was certain it must have been stolen. I assumed I had forgotten to lock the car doors and hence it was stolen. I was devastated as to how my 20 year old son would take the news that I had lost his car. I went to Norwood police to report it stolen. I have something of a memory issue due to heavy metal poisoning. The Norwood police assured me it would be very unusual in this area for the car to get stolen. They then took me round in a police car up and down all the streets while we searched for the car. I had left it in the underground carpark at Foodland on Norwood parade. I have been to the Norwood police station for various other minor issues - usually to get a document witnessed. They have always dealt with me courteously and efficiently as I've seen them do with all the other people arriving at their front counter in distress (people who have had car accidents, or things stolen usually). I often used to see them at the local chicken shop on Norwood parade and they were always friendly and chatty.

No matter what happened all they will say is MUTRAL FIGHT, even if you have video evidence showing the other guys assaulted us and we did not do anything back and medical report shown that your nose fracture. Missed a call from them, they ask to do a interview so went to Holden Hill police station, police there said I need to go to Norwood one to do the interview so I go back to Norwood, Norwood police said why don’t you do it in Holden hill police station And I said we need an interpreter which they will need to organise till now is already been almost half year, no one call for interview, nothing, just rubbish. At the end the police report said is mutual fight, without interview with us Totally rubbish services. If I can give minus star I would have given.

Norwood Police Station is The best Police station I’ve ever seen with polite and respectful Officers, never seen them be rude to anyone. I’ve never waited more than a few minutes to be seen, at Holden Hill it is hours. I live closer to Holden Hill Police Station and won’t go there anymore, rude, confrontational, waits are at times for hours so I drive out of my way to Norwood Whether I’m seeking information, a clearance or reporting something it’s Norwood for me never Holden Hill. I’m betting the work environment and leadership at Norwood is a cut above anything at Holden Hill.

I'm really not sure why they have a phone number at all, let alone why a calling card left ( regarding a follow up where I was the victim of a crime) listed the number as I never got through then either.. it's not a 000 matter, it doesn't require police attendance so it's not 131444, but the stations don't answer the phone. What on earth???

This is my go to police station when I need police help. Everyone is really friendly and helpful, reminds me of an old country police station where it feels like everyone knows each other. Everyone working there provides great service and advice. They should all be commended for a great job!

I visited recently and spoke to Senior Constable Edwards (badge 76977). I spent more than half an hour trying to convince her to do her job. These people could really do with some "how to provide service" training and personality transplants...
