I might sound a little harsh, but I used to come to Dal Notaro so often with my husband and daughter because of the atmosphere and great savoury food and we were both left this time with wanting for more : we both started with a Burrata di bufala campana su fresella di grano duro con pomodorini e verdurine. It looked amazing, but was lacking taste and very difficult to eat. As a main course my husband took an Entrecôte di manzo del territorio alla griglia: excellent meat but served with the same vegetables as the starter which is a big mistake in a restaurant. Personally I very much enjoyed a tasty Spaghettone con crema di pecorino, pepe bianco e carciofi croccanti. The wine that was suggested was not as tannic and with character as we could have expected from the recommandation of the waiter. On the bill were added coffees we were not even proposed. In average the food was not bad, but not amazing. The whole experience was not typical Italian as in our memories…

Twice now, I've been disappointed by the bait-and-switch tactics at Notaro restaurant. When I ordered Tagliatelle with rabbit and taggiasche olives, I expected to receive the dish as described on the menu. However, the olives served were not taggiasche olives, which are a rare and expensive Italian variety. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, he admitted that the chef had substituted a different type of olive. This is the second time this has happened to me at Notaro. On a previous visit, I ordered a pizza that was supposed to have taggiasche olives, but I was instead served canned olives. While I understand that mistakes can happen, I'm concerned that this may be a deliberate attempt to deceive customers who are not familiar with taggiasche olives. Taggiasche olives are a distinctive ingredient, and it's disappointing that Notaro would resort to such practices to save money.

Beware! This place got very bad since my recent visit. Mediocre, buttery pasta, cold pizza and abysmal service! I normally do not care for over polite and friendly waiters - but oh boy have I never encountered such rude waiters that seemed like they did not want us there. They were forgetting things left and right - and the highlight: We could not even order ourselves. The staff "chose a menu for us". Which as a result, was: 2 slices of pizza each. A handful of fish or meat pasta. A glass of wine. 32 Euros. EACH! And I wish I could say it was delicate - but the pasta dripped of butter. They seemed overwhelmed - we were 20 people- but in that case, guys: Do not accept big groups reservations! I can only advise people to stay away.

Good food but disappointing at various stages. We arrive at 9pm and we are informed that there are only few pizza dough left (on a Saturday at 9pm?) and bread is finished. We were a table of 9 italians with a total bill of 500+ eur: we ask for amaro ‘on the house’ at the end, which is standard practice in all italian restaurants, especially when your bill is big, and we get the reply that they do not offer it. You can offer the best food in the world but if you do not know how to ‘treat’ your customers then you lose it all! This is how you ruin your reputation as Italian restaurant in a small community like Luxembourg.

Absolutely stunning place, both for authentic pizza and for the unique atmosphere. Pizza was gorgeous: cornicione, light and bubbly structure, fermented dough, hearty topping - all you can seek for in pizza, you will definitely find in the one served by Notaro. Last but not least, I found the Ristorante as a cozy, beautifully located place with warm vintage interior and welcoming, multilangual service and staff. It is a place you want to come back - a gem in nowadays mass-scale, hyped, short-distance spots.

I have been here a couple times and it the food has been delicious each time. I had a chef special lamb pasta this time and the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the lamb ragu was perfect. The over all dish was not over sauced, perfectly cooked, and delicious. I could not ask for more. The wine we had was kind of expensive, and I wish the person ordering would have paid more attention, and maybe the waiter should have given him a heads up that the wine was on the expensive side. The up side was the wine was amazing with the meal, but we ordered the house red, and it was $100 per bottle, so just make sure you get what you ask for.

Food served is good, service is horrible. The waitress was more than unfriendly, this is an absolute NO GO in the meaning of restauration and hospitality. The poor service lead to a poor a ambience, and unfortunately the good food does not compensate this. There are better places to spend your money and your precious time.

The pizza has good ingredients and more than enough. However, the pizza is extremely watery...the cardbox is coming totaly wet and the liquid is literally on the pizza. It might be that they are not drying the mozzarella when putting on the pizza. Happened to me twice. Overall I wouldn't recomend them. L.E. - Two years later I tried the restaurant. Very good experience.

The drinks and the pizza were all super delicious, Naples style. Maybe the service could have been faster. We waited quite long for the food, compared to a pizza , but the waiter was friendly and overall it was a very pleasant experience. I can only recommend.

Absolutely fabulous!! Such an authentic Italian restaurant, I was amazed. Great italian atmosphere, and the food is absolutely fantastic and soooooo tasty. We tried the risotto with cheese and pepper, pasta carbonara, and a mix plate of deserts that were all very good and pleasing. Prices are very reasonable and the service is fast and very kind. Try the local draft beer - its very good.

Pizza dough was tasty and nice but inexplicable was cold Pasta carbonara I don't recommend it. It was too salty and bacon (not guanciale) was not good/fresh Service was not nice, I ask for pepper but the grinder was empty and the waiter saw me complaining but didn't do anything I can recommend the pizza but the expérience was not nice. A nice Italian restaurant directly in Clausen, a residential area in the city of Luxembourg. The kitchen is authentic and the prices are very fair. The wine list is huge, but unfortunately there are often no wines in stock. But the sommelier will always find a suitable alternative at a similar price. Insider tip is always to sit on the right side of the restaurant. For various reasons.

One of the usual recommendations if you ask an Italian for a pizza place in Luxembourg. Pizza is usually good, but last time I went it was a little soggy - there was too much tomato paste. So your mileage may vary. The interior is not too exciting and service is not amazingly polite, so maybe a delivery is better option

An Italian restaurant not only in name but also food. Carbonara is exquisite, al dente, without cream, just as god intended it to be and the pizza is the best in town, hands down. What to order? Carbonara, pizza Sant'Agata (for those who love spicey) or parmigiana, for those who love lighter notes. For the designated driver there are some pretty delicious mockrails to boot.

One of the best Italian place. Polite staff who helped us with the translation of the menu and recommendations. Ordered Ricotta and spinach Ravioli (portion looks tiny on plate but you will struggle to finish) and Vegetarian Pizza. Finished with chocolate and figs & fruits Pannacotta. Very recommend.

One hour waiting for service. Food arrived cold. Lasagna tasted like it had too much flour in it. See food and fish insufficiently cooked. I gave it two stars because they didn't charge the lasagna and offered a complementary espresso when they realised we were not happy. Will not return in any case.

Great Italian cooking, the only restaurant where my picky wife happily returns again and again. A varied menu of fish, spaghetti, risotto, pizza and more where you won’t be disappointed no matter of your choice. We’ve been visiting for years and keep introducing it to visiting friends.

My bf and I ate here last night for the first time. It was nice getting a table without a reservation. We shared a pizza as a starter which was very good. I had the beef pasta and my bf had carbonara. The only thing I would add is that I wish to have had a bit more meat in my pasta.

The place is cosy and comfortable. You feel a relaxed Italian mood from moment one. Amazing and big wine menu and the food will always be a great election. Convenient location. In my opinion is better to go for the pastas and ravioli than pizza because it is simply delicious!

Table service was better than front of house service. Pizza crust was good but had to add chili oil and salt to bring out flavours. I would agree with other reviews that the food is underseasoned. Overall, decent Italian food outside of Italy.

Visited this place for lunch. Staff is friendly and food is good. Generally prefer visiting traditional restaurant with a strong link towards regional dishes but sometimes can't resist the temptation of eating the pizza in any country I visit.

This used to be a great place. In the meantime, the menu has been cut a lot, the choice is reduced a lot. Quality of the food is great, but overpriced. The wine is good, but it is difficult to find a wine for a lower budget.

A lovely, cosy atmosphere. Food is reasonably priced however was lacking in flavor and under-seasoned. We tried the eggplant Parmesan starter and the beef ragout pasta and Diavola pizza. All were OK, nothing spectacular.

Amazing authentic italian food. I actually ate real spaghetti carbonara. The Italian version without the cream. It tasted very good. The staff was kind and helpful even it we were a group of 20 people.

I went to here on a weekday and it was very calm. Staff are kind. They served the meals very quickly.And it was really delicious, especially pizza. Lastly reasonably priced.
