Family owned fruit and vegetable shop. Fruit in Japan is always expensive but much less so here. Very good quality but no time for silly things like waxing fruits or doing much advertisement (I guess they are busy enough as it is). Seasonal products, older pieces at a discount and a few non-vegetable products that may save you a trip to the combini. Highly recommended.

The owner is so kind. Knowing I might be from Southeast Asia, he let me know when kangkung was in stock when I visited. I was surprised since kangkung is only available in summer in Japan and how he knew the name (kangkung does not even have Japanese name, I think)

太田が英語名なのは、東北大学の留学生が多い三条町の重要なスーパーだからです。留学生が最初に覚えるひらがなが、おおたです。卒業した留学生に、きれいになった太田の写真を見せると、涙が出てくるぐらい懐かしくなるようです。野菜や果物全般に安く、近くのどのスーパーよりも、安いです。場所が住宅街のなかにあり、ちょっと見つけにくいですが、車を停める場所もあります。一家でなさっているようで、人件費がかからない分、安くしてくれるのでしょうか。お勧めです。

子平町はめちゃくちゃ静かい町です、太田商店の社員は昭和年代の優しいお婆ちゃんとジジさん達です。親切な感じでした。ありがとうございました。 まず、値段は安い価格ですが、分量も重いです。 16個卵全部は一百円です、ドンキーホテの卵は108円。激安ですね！小さな業務スーパーマーケットの感じ。便利そうです。 バナナ5個も100円です、百円商店の感じ。ニンニクの値段は298円です、それも安い価格です、最高でした。幸せだった！応援させて頂きます！

The vegetables and fruits are assorted and cheaper than supermarket. But be careful, they open at 10:00 AM. If they open early, it will be more helpful.
