Well, the front half is kept well. However the back half is in shambles and is suuuuuper creepy. There are graves from over 200 years ago in the very back which would seem like something to be proud of, but they are mostly in areas that are over grown and have undergone land changes? In the very back corner it's hard not to believe some of the coffins aren't coming out of the ground with how much the land has changed around the tombstones back there. Definitely the most Creepy cemetery I've been to for those reasons. Also it appears as if a few homeless persons camp out here and there on the occasion...and the trash cans are always overflowing.
The Pioneers of Oak Cliff are buried here. This is the first cemetery in Oak Cliff. The second cemetery in Oak Cliff is Laurel Land and Stevie Ray Vaughan is buried there. This July 2023 finds the Oak Cliff Cemetery in need of trimming and cleanup. Much respect for all who rest here. Bling Blinky of Texas Shout Out: I am Oak Cliff born and raised!
This place really is haunted Stevie Ray Vaughan is buried here at the cemetery and a number of other people people that signed the emancipation proclamation, of the United States. I do not recommend taking children at night time it's a really scary place sometimes even during the day so beware
Just to correct info in the last review. Stevie Ray Vaughan is NOT buried here. He is in Laurel Land.
Beautiful and green. Many plants and trees, a lovely walk.
Nice to know there's a place to go after a trying life
Stevie Ray is buried at Laurel Land, NOT here!
Very beautiful graveyard.
I love it there
