Such a great menu! The tempura cauliflower was good and I absolutely loved the special burger of the day. It had an orange bbq sauce, an onion ring, and we both ordered with field roast patty. Mine came with a pickle and no lettuce. My friend's came with lettuce and no pickle. Mine also initially came out with beef but we had an awesome server and she got that fixed for me really quickly. Cocktail menu needs more vodka drinks but my protip is just to add vodka to the house-made rosemary lemon soda. Finally, the desserts are made in-house but the cookie didn't do it for us and the cupcake was a homemade hostess-style which isn't my thing either. All that being said we would come back for the cool vibe, fun and customer focused service, and still so many awesome things to try on the menu.

We're back with another look at a local establishment just up in the Beacon Hill area. The Oak is a nice stylish place kind of tucked between 2 other establishments. Parking can be difficult because it's on the street, but there are a few other places to park if you're ok with a short stroll. Once inside, it was like being in a ski cabin, all warm and inviting. We were seated fairly quickly, and our orders were delivered almost just as fast. The burger was delicious, but the pot pie was amazing. The dessert wasn't exactly what I wanted. Cupcakes for dessert are not something that screams originality, but you have to go with what you got. I'd surely return if not just for the Herky's fried chicken sandwich. So stop in and see what the Oak offers for those looking for a great local establishment.

My new favorite restaurant for vegan food in Seattle! The perfect place to go with friends who aren’t vegan where everyone can enjoy what they like. Get the vegan fried pickles! w CBGB sauce that’s like a creamy BBQ Vegan Phish Witch was soo soo delicious! Casamigos Reposado w their scratch turmeric ginger pineapple soda was the best drink! I see they have an organic tequila on the menu I may have to try next time! I can’t wait to experience all the other vegan food on the menu like the chicken tenders and jackfruit slider! Servers were super friendly and sweet! Very cozy inside and patio tables outside! Half our food was a little cold as if they waited for the other plates to be ready at the same time so that was the only thing they fell short on. I still devoured my food. ‍♀️ Just don’t overeat since it’s so damn good.

This is a great place in the neighborhood- open much later than the majority of Seattle restaurants, has a chill vibe, and even hosts weekly chess nights and the like. The portions are substantial- one companion said it was too much food which isn't usually a complaint for the average person, but realize that you must pay for your fries/sides on sandwiches and burgers! $16.5 for a chicken sandwich alone, and $5 for sweet potato fries. I didn't catch that so I was surprised. I like the laid back vibe here, and they have outdoor seating as well. I think the menu selection is good and the food is satisfying.

The brussel sprouts were cooked very nicely. Super crisp, but a little too sweet for my taste. The creamed corn bites were tasty as well. I was very pleased that they had quite a few vegan and vegetarian options! I had the vegetarian chicken substitute, which was satisfying. No complaints, but nothing to rave about either. Overall, it was enjoyable but I wouldn’t go far out of my way to come back.

We had the Brussels sprouts, fries, a poblano burger and the chicken pot pie and ate outdoors with our dog in tow. The service was great and they were very dog friendly. The fries and Brussel sprouts were both excellent. The fries were crispy and the Brussels sprouts were nicely roasted with a dark crispy outside but tender inside. I wish we could have enjoyed the burger and chicken pot pie nearly as much. The burger patty was undercooked (I asked for medium well but it was medium rare) and while tender, it was not particularly flavorful. The chicken pot pie tasted watered down but did have a flaky and tasty crust. Would go back for drinks and small plates.

All around meh. Sat a date and I outside on a cold night at a very windy corner while there was better insulated seating unused that would have not been as cold. They had heaters- but the seat we were in wasn’t being heated well with them due to the wind.. they insisted we sit outside rather than wait for a table inside because of the heaters :( much rather would have waited but didn’t realize the mistake until we were already sat for a few minutes. The food was delicious- however the chicken sandwich I ordered was the messiest and soggiest thing I’ve eaten in a while, would have been much easier to eat with a fork and knife, especially on a date but again it was delicious regardless

Visited this place twice in a weeks time, and i had some wonderful burgers , small plates, and drinks. I tried their Cauliflower tempura, Sweet Creamed Corn Nuggets, Curried Chickpeas, Brussel Sprout Small Plate Field burger, and Vegan Chimichurri "Chicken" Sandwich. Except Cauliflower and corn nuggets, everything else was very delicious. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for some vegan burgers around Beacon Hill Neighborhood in Seattle.

My wife, a couple friends and I are visiting from out of town and we figured we'd try this place. Wow. The service was great, the food literally perfect. Everything was amazing. I ordered the chicken strips and fries, which sounds so mediocre, but but here! They basically gave me an entire chicken that was cooked to perfection, dense and so juicy. Our waitress was Shellen, and she was great. Prompt and funny, always timing her stops at the table perfectly. My entire party agreed that it was some of the best food we'd ever had. I would gladly travel back across international borders to eat here!! The cookie for dessert was the size of my wife's face.

My brother found this place through reviews and wanted a place to go with vegans and non vegans. So many tasty options including specials. On the tables they have all the condiments. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area. Don't forget about the cocktails. They also make a delicious in house sauce. Recommend for tasty foods!

Overall, an underwhelming experience. Mini burger was pretty good but really messy for a slider, the mac n cheese had a weird flavor that I couldn’t pin down but it wasn’t enjoyable, carrot soup was tasty, and brussel sprouts were flavorful and crispy. Service was pretty slow even though there were only 3 tables.

The oak is a great place for dinner and drinks. I noticed a lot of vegan options. I got the brussel sprouts for an appetizer which were delicious. I also have a blackberry cocktail that i enjoyed very much while sitting outside in the sun. If you just want a shot of whiskey and a lager, i believe they call it an oldie and Crow. Overall, a very good experience, especially sitting outside on a sunny day!

We chose this place because it had a lot of great vegan options. The fried pickles were delicious and the best thing I tried. I had the poblano burger with fries. It was good but nothing special. If I went back I would try one of the chicken sandwiches. My vegan friend enjoyed the chimichuri sandwich. The staff was great and very attentive.

Amazing food, chill atmosphere, friendly staff. Love the seamless mobile ordering/payment system -- really wish more places offered that. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich which was heavenly. But have no fear, they have a pretty extensive selection of vegan meals / appetizers. Pretty much any dish on their menu that contains meat has a meat-free alternative.

The chicken and waffles were amazing, and I can't wait to have more. The drinks were also delicious. The sausage biscuits and gravy were not very flavorful. The vegan options look good as well, but I have not tried and of the vegan brunch items yet. The service was also great! Update: everything else has been amazing so changed from 4 stars to 5

Oak is amazing!! The drinks are strong, there is so much vegan food to eat AND desserts! They were very busy on the Saturday night that we went and the staff was working hard to serve everyone, and they were all very friendly. We will definitely be back!!

Delicious food in a modest atmosphere with a service I would describe as efficient. What is really special about this place is a good mix of vegan and non vegan options. The biscuits and mushroom gravy without dairy is really magnificent especially especially with some sauteed kale and out of this world vegan sausage.

Lively neighborhood spot for American food. Good drinks. Good service. Reasonable prices. Chicken sandwich, sliders, and fries were good. Margarita and other drinks were pretty good.

Went here with some friends. Great vegan options for our vegan buddy. Lots of nice cocktails. Food was perfectly fine but not the best Ive had. Totally acceptable burgers and sides. Penne and cheese was pretty good! A nice twist on mac & cheese. All ordering is through an app even for dine-in which was pretty cool.

This was a great experience - our server was super friendly, the health and safety efforts they've instituted feel really effective, and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the whipped coffee, and the biscuit in my biscuits and gravy was perfect - just the right bit of crisp and flaky. So good!

Beacon Hill neighborhood staple. Vibe is always right- love the outdoor seating or going straight to the back bar. Always lively. My go-to is local IPAs and the fried chicken Caesar salad. Always amazed at how delicious the food is here. Great service.

Excellent food that pairs with excellent drinks! The house cocktails were amazingly well crafted and the jackfruit slider was incredibly good! Despite having two people total run the front and make the drinks, the customer service was top notch!

Service was fine. Food was nothing special. Overpriced, even for Seattle. $20 entree with a side of cheap spring mix. $4 upchange for flash frozen bagged fries... a very eh experience

I went for the chicken pot pie but it was sold out. So I'm assuming it's as delicious as I've been told. I had to "settle" for a batch of wonderful, perfectly seasoned french fries and some of the most upscale chicken fingers I've ever

Pretzel puffs were fantastically flavored and didn't need the hunny dip, though that was tasty, too. Unfortunately, they seem overpriced for what you get. If they doubled the amount or halved the price, it would feel more appropriate.

  • Laura Luna Martin

Good, basic food. It was nice to eat outside. They were very busy when I was there and short staffed. I'm sure it took over an hour to get my food. But thats the way it is everywhere now, and they are doing the best they can. More

While visiting Seattle we rented an AirBNB near this restaurant and decided to try. SO glad we did. Best burger I've had in probably years! Not to mention all the other great options. Would love to go back some day.

After this visit and those vegan burgers I decided to switch back to meat. Too dry, toppings not juicy... where they at least organic? Ratio quality/price too low... way too low. Good service though More
