Visiting Obecní dům in Prague was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped into this architectural gem, I was transported into a world of exquisite Art Nouveau design. The intricate details of the interior, from the lavishly decorated ceilings to the stunning stained glass, are a feast for the eyes. The Smetana Hall, a concert hall inside, is not only a visual delight but also offers phenomenal acoustics, making the live classical music performances I attended there truly mesmerizing. What really stood out to me was the blend of art and history in every corner of the building. Obecní dům is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates art, architecture, and history. Its beauty and historical importance make it one of the highlights of Prague. A truly enriching experience that I would recommend to everyone!

The Municipal House is a stunning, early 20th century built, art deco themed (predominantly) concert hall with additional rooms. We booked on the tour and were not disappointed. The tour guide spoke entirely in English, provided extensive knowledge of the whole facility and information about all the rooms, including the designers, artists and materials used. The building is used regularly and hosts concerts often. The ground floor restaurant is good with indoor/outdoor seating, although it has a limited choice of hot meals although they do creme teas (using crème fraîche). There is also a basement restaurant but we didn’t enter it. Definitely worth a visit - the ticket fee is reasonable.

A must-go in Prague. They have a tour guide with specific languages at a certain time during the day. It was such a fun experience. On the ground floor, they have their own restaurant and it seems very fancy. By looking at their menu clearly they make great foods too!! Plus I noticed they have concert during night time as well. Got a ticket for myself and it became the highlight of my holiday in Prague. It was fantastic, a great great show. The performance was sensational. The hall is absolutely a work of art, beautiful, breath-taking, eye-catching and impressive. It was such a pleasant experience to attend a concert here!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Seriously such a kind staff and I really enjoyed the beer on tap. However, the food was amazing. Some of the best chicken I've ever had. It's officially on my list of "places you have to go" for friends visiting prague. The staffs' English was great and super helpful to me (not that it should have to be, I'm visiting them after all, but it doesn't hurt to make me feel more comfortable ) Seriously, if you're visiting prague and wanting a quick meal, it was great.

Stunning new municipal hall If you want to visit, you need to buy tickets in advance. Tickets are nine euros for students per person. You cannot visit by your own because you need to be accompanied by guide and organized visit tour that lasts around one hour or one hour and a half. During your visit, you will see a lot of different kind of bars, halls, rooms, places to spend time. What is super interesting is that you can rent some of the halls for your events. Just be careful about visiting terms because there a specific times when you can come and groups are small.

Naprosto dokonalý zážitek. Obecní dům jsem viděla mockrát, ale tentokrát jsem si předem zakoupila komentovanou prohlídku v češtině a dozvěděla jsem se mnoho nového a viděla neuvěřitelně krásné prostory a spoustu detailů. Naše průvodkyně byla žena na pravém místě, která ví o čem mluví. Doporučuji všem.

Definitely one to visit while in Prague! What an absolutely beautiful building, both inside and outside. We visited the cafe side and it was such a luxury at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere is lovely, and had we had more time we would have loved to return to the restaurant also. Very helpful and attentive staff in the cafe - definitely not one to be missed!

One of the most beautiful buildings in Prague. Its history and architecture are wonderful. For various events, in the box offices right inside the building , tickets can be obtained. There is a restaurant downstairs.

Must visit for all art and Mucha lovers. The architecture and atmosphere itself compliments the artwork. Highly recommend to visit. Seeing Mucha’s craftsmanship up close is ones in life time privilege.

Beautiful space although I did not tour the building formally, but I went to 3 classical concerts here in 3 days. Definitely worth checking out and the concerts are amazing so make sure you attend one.

Had a lovely Afternoon Tea, with sandwiches, mini cakes, scones and tea, all served on a three tier stand. In a beautiful setting of the Obecni Dum. Just sometimes a but difficult to get hold of a waiter.

Wonderful building fully restored in the 90s featured incredible art amongst others from Edvard Munch Highly recommend the guided tour to understand first hand the importance of Prague’s cultural hub. Excellent brasserie on one side and restaurant the other.

Obecní dům v centru Prahy, vedle Prašné brány. Nádherný svět secece. Kavárna i restaurace. V druhém patře právě probíhá výstava o díle našeho významného malíře, grafika Muchy. Výstava je úžasným zážitkem, stejně jako prostory, ve kterých se výstava nachází.

Amazing Art Deco building with beautiful expositions and classical music concerts, tickets are around 12-15€ and you can score nice cards in the giftshop. There are also three beautiful bars/ restaurants on the premises. Totally worth a visit!

The biggest exhibition of Muchas pictures now in Obecný dům. A lot of originals pictures with music and video. Now it is on the 3 floor.

It is opulent and so well-preserved. The tour is informative, and worth doing to see all of the first floor. Very glad to have taken the time to do this. I booked a day in advance at the ticket office inside.

The guided tour of this building is so worthwhile to discover all the halls of this art nouveau/deco masterpiece as well as some of the 20th century history of Bohemia. The interior is truly stunning..

really great food and very reasonably priced- 4 large mains, 1 beer, 3 glasses of wine and water for 89 euro. the building itself is gorgeous the servers are lovely and friendly. definitely recommend!
