This place was absolutely horrid. I was looking for a local coffee shop to try for my weekly dates with my partner. The moment they saw me in a wheelchair, they refused to make eye contact, no one even addressed me. Even when I pulled up to the counter, they addressed my (walking) partner. I had to fight the door to even get in, and the employees simply looked at me disgusted. They have a few chair options, but the rest of the seating is blocked off by a steep concrete stair, so impossible for me to have seating. I came to sit and sip coffee, and literally had to leave because NO ONE talked to me, there was no seating, and the parking lot was dangerous. If I had come on my own, I literally wouldn’t have been able to get to the door, or in it. This place is NOT wheelchair accessible. Parking or the building, and the staff was horrid. Coffee wasn’t even worth it, I don’t mind the up charge for the cups, but gosh. I really wanted this to work and I literally can’t find a positive

It’s not. They have the wheelchair parking next to a 30 degree ramp and stairs, there is a metal incline on the door that trapped both sets of wheels. Half the seating is blocked off by stairs or a very tall counter, so you only have one or two table options, so if anyone else is there, you don’t get to stay. I couldn’t.

The storefront and interior are very hip in design. Unlike other cafés, Oddly Correct labels itself as a coffee bar, and it does feel more like a bar than a nook. With cute seating outdoors and plenty of standing room indoors, the simple yet colorful decor makes this the perfect stopover. The staff are very helpful and easy to engage with questions. It can be a bit intimidating for recreational or simple coffee drinkers, as the selection and level of coffee knowledge is presented as very high-level. I appreciated the assistance in selecting my order! I had the seasonal iced blueberry lavender oatmilk latte and pistachio almond donut. The blueberry lavender oatmilk latte is WONDERFUL; I have not tasted such a well-balanced, lavender latte EVER. The coffee taste still comes through without being bitter nor too sweet and I’m left feeling anything but blue! The donut is locally made and the perfect pairing treat. I love the sustainable practice of glass/reusable to-go jars! This year especially has seen a rise in too much plastic and styrofoam... overall, I am so happy and blown away by the simplicity and delicious tastes of this store. I cannot wait to return with others and try more! The pricing was fair, though slightly higher than most coffee for $/oz. I did not think twice after I tasted it though; really worth the money for me and not grossly expensive.

Oddly is a really cute and funky coffee shop and roaster. They offer a wide selection of single origin coffee and tasty blends for your daily home brews. The space is neatly decorated. I love the weird art on the walls. For a third wave coffee shop, the espresso was good. It had the standard dark cherry chocolate notes you’d expect from an espresso blend. I was hoping for more adventurous espresso shot options. I also wanted to include details related to how they’re operating because of COVID. Compared to other businesses Oddly does a great job establishing and following procedures to protect both their guests and employees. They respectfully shared the simple rules with all guests and politely enforced them! I’m really happy to see how management has been operating and really happy to support this local business. They limit the number of people in the cafe at one time to protect their guests and employees. All drinks are offered in to go style cups (jars + koozie) with a 1 dollar deposit. If you bring back the jar/koozie, you can have your dollar back. You’re allowed to enjoy your drink in the shop but you have a 10 min limit. After each guest leaves they clean up the area and disinfect it for the next patron. During the purchase and card exchange, our barista kept a nice distance and handled the transaction and tip on the screen per our instructions.

Wandered into Oddly after a recommendation from a friend for an eco chic cafe - and this cafe definitely provided the beautiful enviro vibes we were seeking! Ordered two lattes (one with macademia milk) and two biscuits (egg + one with egg, bacon, and cheese curd - was awesome). Barista service was kind, knowledgeable, and careful. To the left, a lush corner of cute plants for a “plant pop up” - some darling little cuttings in glass beakers or larger house plants perfect for a house warming gift or a little earthy pick me up. Wait was quick and service was brought out to the outdoor seating. There are plenty of cozy seating options inside, featuring local art and lithographic prints throughout, but the outdoor seating faces the sunshine, so we opted for outside! The building is black with a white mural encircling the edge, quirky and fun art to make for a very trendy coffee shop. The lattes were pretty good (cool that the beans are roasted and packaged in house). The biscuits, though, which are homemade really elevated the whole experience. Great joint for breakfast for sure. The atmosphere feels pretty local and chill, lots of community meetings and would serve as a perfect date or work session spot.

Oddly Correct is an amazing coffee shop right on the corner of the street. We ordered the Dark Choco Mocha, Bourbon Vanilla, Chai, and the seasonal flavor Blueberry Lavender Latte. All the flavors for amazing and unique. The Dark Choco Mocha has a very nice chocolate richness but limited coffee punch. This drink is great for those who want coffee but not necessarily a coffee fanatic. The bourbon vanilla has a nice vanilla flavor to it with a very bold undertone of bourbon. Chai was delicious. I personally am NOT a fan of Chai drinks but this Chai would make me change my mind! The Blueberry Lavendar Latte is very unique. It has a great balance of blueberry and lavender. It is not my personal favorite but it is still a wonderful seasonal drink. The prices are also very reasonable! What I love is their attempts at sustainability. Each drink has a posted up charge of $1 because all drinks are served in a glass container. They hope you will come back to return the jar each time you come to order instead of providing disposable cups. Even with the $1 up charge the prices are very reasonable for a coffee shop. Highly recommend them and their vision!

I hesitated to visit Oddly Correct. We look for different places to ride our bicycles and I wondered if 22 miles was going to be too long this early in the season. I also was a little confused $1 deposit. (Confused because I'd not seen such a thing in a long time. In hindsight, their website messaging was pretty clear.) Oh my, did it work out splendidly! "Fear not black coffee" is right. My husband usually takes cream with two sugars and I completely forgot. I brought the pour over Tanzania Songwe Peaberry, black, back to the outdoor table; he sipped and exclaimed, "This is great!". He continued to rave about how good it was so I told him that the people after me purchased coffees and beans, spending $42. The frugal man that he is said "It is really good coffee". We were able to get the jars back inside before closing time and likely will ride the 11 miles to get there again.

They roast well, but their flavored lattes are way too sweet, IMO. Got one of the specialty drinks, cinnamon vanilla or something, and initially thought it was alright – not awesome, but pretty good – but as I continued drinking it, I felt more and more like I was almost having to choke it down. It’s just so cloyingly sweet it completely overwhelms the shots. All you taste is the syrup. My wife didn’t even finish hers, which means it really was too much. If I went back, I’d definitely get something more coffee-forward, something without any additives, just shots and milk. I trust it would be better and probably actually good. I say this based on having also taken home some beans and doing a pour over that turned out quite nicely. I think they’ve got good coffee, but they might ought to cut the amount of syrup they add to their flavored drinks.

This is a pretty lovable place. They were very popular when I popped in on a Sunday morning. It's pretty spacious indoor and outdoor, and an attractive, cozy atmosphere. WiFi is good, so you can definitely come and work. I've had a latte (with oat milk) and dark chocolate mocha (with macadamia milk) and both were excellent. You can tell they have skillful batistas that take their time, and the staff all-around seems cool. They also serve biscuit sandwiches and vegan pastries. You get a cool koozie and glass jar if you order to-go, and they're reusable if you come back. Nothing but good things to say about Oddly Correct!

Nice coffee shop. The buildout is very modern and looks very nice. Not very many selections for breakfast. I bought the egg, sausage biscuit and dark choco mocha. The sandwich was a little bland and biscuit hard and crumbly. The coffee was good. Bought my coffee "to go" and was given a glass container with a foam koozie. I realize they are trying to go green, but I think a foam koozie isn't quite going green, just the appearance of it. I would have preferred a compostable cup with a cardboard sleeve. It's just a little too hipster for me, but it's a nice coffee shop.

My daughter and I enjoy exploring new coffee shops and this little hipster place was a first time visit for us while her and my son in law were in town . Service was great . I asked for a recommendation, and was suggested a Sage Carmel latte. I devoured it far too fast and have been craving another since our trip. The environment is a neat artful place with lots of seating. We really enjoyed our trip and we will definitely be back. I can not believe it has taken me so long to discover this KC gem

2nd time here, and this is my go-to coffee shop for the 3rd District. If you live between the 35s and 47th this is a smooth walk for your morning groove. Menu needs diversifying but they have to see what the market demand is. Love the vibe and Java.

We need to go back and try some of the food, but the drinks we tried were fantastic. We tried an iced mocha, iced vanilla bourbon coffee, London fog, and a pickle lemonade. The London fog is up there with the top two that we've tried in KC so far. The pickle lemonade was interesting and actually very good. Both coffee drinks were yummy and not overly sweet. If you order to go, you do have to pay a small deposit for a glass jar and the fun coozie. (1.50 per cup, I think?) I appreciate that there is less waste. I'm excited to get back and use them again.

Oddly is my FAVORITE coffee shop in Kc. Oddly serves traditional drinks, pour overs, and teas. They also have a small Home-ade Biscuit menu that i have yet to try but i have heard amazing things. Their espresso and pour overs are some of the best done in KC. Above all else, what makes Oddly the best is the way they treat their staff and community. Amazing wages, healthcare, communication, and respect. They eliminated single use cups and they compost! They provide glass jars for all their drinks for you to keep or return back to them! Oddly sets an amazing example to other shops to step up their game!

  • Randy McMannama

The best pour over in Kansas City. It's worth the drive from anywhere in the metro area. You can also order their beans online freshly roasted and pickup on Fridays or have shipped to your home. Always a friendly staff, I loveI the vibe. The barristas look like all enjoy working there. I also like that they open the garage doors weather permitting, it makes the shop feel so much bigger.

First I must say that the coffee here is delicious as are their flavors. However, the employees were very sharp and honestly straight up RUDE. I didn’t catch her name, but the employee with the curly hair working on May 19 at 3pm was one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had. My family was in town visiting and I brought my mom, my aunts, my sister, and my grandma in for a coffee date and we all agreed we will never return to Oddly Correct for coffee because of what a bad experience it was...it’s sad because the coffee was good, but not worth it if you have to deal with the employees.

Love the vibe here! Don’t let the neighborhood scare you-this place is a gem and worth going to ❤️ A little on the pricey side but I felt like it was worth every penny. They are also doing their part to be environmentally conscious. Your beverages are served in a jar with a lid and cute koozie. If you bring it with to your next visit, they take it and give you a new one and sterilize the one you bought in. You also get a considerable discount. Staff was friendly. Lots of unique merchandise for sale. Definitely recommend.

I went here for a meeting with a colleague and we ended up leaving after a few minutes and going to Starbucks down the road. It's a total hipster vibe with baristas who have bad attitudes when answering question about subpar menu (no mocha for instance but they have something called the Gilbraltar). I ordered a Chai latte and payed over $6 with tax for a small drink which tasted bitter and terrible (I ended up throwing half of it away). Their straws are "compostable straws made from renewable resources" and introduce a dirty taste of recycled paper.

Great location and great coffee. Syrups are all made in-house, and their biscuits were flying off the shelf. Have a good balance of both indoor and outdoor seating. Have clean restrooms as well. We will definitely be adding it to our list of frequent stops when we are in town.

The bourbom vanilla latte was every bit as good as I imagined, the biscuits were soft and delicious and they have reusable jars to hold their drinks, this is one of my favorite coffee spots in KC. UPDATE: My wife and I were bummed when we went to the old address and saw that Oddly Correct was gone. We then saw that they had moved to their new spot on Troost. We decided to check it out and we're blown away by the new space! It's alot bigger than the old location and looks really great inside. Still one of our favorite coffee places!

  • James Harmon

We found this place on maps. Needed to kill some time so why not. Quirky little place that is big on atmosphere and art. They want you to hang out and enjoy your drink. The staff was beyond nice and incredibly friendly. They do their own roasting on location. Didn't try the food but the coffee and tea were well worth the price point. I would have zero issues to send people there or recommend it to anyone

I love how environmentally conscious they are! I received a take-home glass jar with a koozie ($1 extra on top of the order), but if you bring it back you pretty much get the the dollar back. I ordered the Dark Choco Mocha and loved it! Bittersweet chocolate that meddled nicely with the whole milk and had an overlapping coffee aroma. I loved the girl who took my order! So personable and sweet! Her outfit was FIRE. I'm definitely making this my study place when I have the chance to come back.

  • Rilee Lake

Nice little coffee shop that offers a more fancy type of coffee. I don't know much about coffee outside of iced coffee drinks I get every once in a while. The staff was awesome and helped me pick out a drink which ended up being a cold brew. Coffee was delicious and it came with a to-go glass (glass deposit) and koozie. I like the push for reuse/less waste with the glass. The space had indoor and outdoor dining. If I lived here, I would come here often.

Bourbon vanilla latte is great, we stayed in the neighborhood for work and stopped by here daily for coffee and biscuit sandwiches. If you like iced coffee you can't go wrong with the bourbon vanilla latte. Very chill place and seating out front to enjoy your latte and breakfast. The jar is a nice little touch and you can trade in your jar to refill instead of wasteful paper cups.

This place is a breath of fresh air! The kind of place that feels like home. The staff is kind & friendly. I had the iced coffee with vanilla bourbon flavoring which was DELICIOUS. They served it to me in a mason jar with a lid & a cute "Oddly Correct" koozie! The garage doors were open which allowed fresh air to blow in...such a refreshing way to spend my morning. You will not regret stopping in at Oddly Correct! Favorite coffee spot in KC :)

This place is nice and worth the visit. The coffee is good and the crew working there is very nice. Although the biscuits are pretty good, it is the only salted option in their menu for breakfast and that is the only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5, but other than that, this is and ideal place for a relaxed moment with a nice cup of coffee.

Hands down the best cup of coffee I have ever tasted. Highly recommend the Vanilla Bourbon. It is a coffee flavor that is bold and unexpected but tastes delicious. The sustainable business model is also very appealing and your coffee is served in a glass jar that you bring back to swap out with a clean one when you go back to get your next cup of coffee! This is a must if you are a coffee lover and are in Kansas City!

You will not find your typical Starbucks mixed coffee drinks here. This is a coffee shop for the coffee purists with a straight menu of pour overs, espresso, and a few rotating specialty drinks. If you like coffee with flavor, made by hand with precision you will enjoy this place. The place is small but offers lots of seating at bar high and a few low chairs with loud indie music pumping in the background.

  • Chris O'Connor

Great coffee shop. Travellers be aware: to-go adds an extra $1.50 to drinks because they don't use plastic and paper cups like most places. Instead you get a jar, which is fine, and repeat visitors can reuse.

Amazing!! I got a flat white (comes as 8 oz) and it was deliciously smooth. I also ordered a biscuit with jam and an egg on the side. The biscuit was tender and the egg was real (meaning it definitely seemed like they cracked an egg instead of pouring it out of a container). The atmosphere and service was great as well. Love that they try and minimize waste!!!

This quirky coffee bar offers delicious biscuts with your choice of add-ons. My hubby loved their house-made sausage patty. The Power Puck was everything i thought it would be. A spectacular find south of downtown. In-house roasting, great atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and most importantly, fantastic coffee. They also had a large selection of beans to purchase for home which doubles as souvenirs. Food menu was subtle but managed to hit the spot for a savory breakfast. I would recommend this place for any coffee appreciators.

The coffee and food is great. The environment looks cool, but the vibe always feels exclusionary to me. Being on the east side of Troost has historical significance and impact on the neighbors, therefore comes with the responsibility to connect with the community…which doesn’t appear to happen here.

The Pour Over of Ecuador Sidra Fortaleza was a great suggestion that Josh made along with the balanced cappuccino. This is a great community focused coffee bar. From expertly roasted and brewed coffee to the unique branding and artwork on the walls. I would definitely put oddly correct on your list of coffee shops to check out in KC area!

I have been looking for a decent coffee shop in my neighborhood where I could enjoy a cup of coffee in a pleasant atmosphere. Oddly Correct is a huge disappointment. They charge $2.75 for a small cup of coffee, no refills, even at a discount, and their food items are expensive. On top of that, the coffee is TERRIBLE. I will not be back.

  • Jake Hawkesworth

I loved the feel of the place, the neighborhood, the rounded, strong but smooth roast, the high quality milk... even the seating. I'd go back in a heartbeat. I had a macchiato which was really good but the roast was strong enough and milk good enough I'd probably get a flat white or cappuccino instead next time. Highly recommended :).

This is a phenomenal place for coffee, the best in town. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about what they offer. This is not a frilly Starbucks, you won't be able to get a venti double shot, 5 pump white chocolate frappachino, just amazing coffee in it's purest form made with love.

Delish coffee and donuts! Totally hipster. Makes you want to dust off the flannel, grow out the Jesus beard, and pop on those thick-rimmed specs. It's time to grab a cold brew and discuss woodworking in an urban environment. Where's the maker space!? This coffee shop was a real treat for us. Recommend.

Oh my gosh, this is the best coffee shop in KC! My girlfriend and I are regulars here and the staff is super nice and super authentic. The vanilla bourbon is the best. But the reason we always come back is because they don’t charge for oat milk! Highly recommend this place if you haven’t tried it.

Very cute coffee shop, exactly what you want from a small coffee joint. Great small-ish menu with all the coffee classics and a few specialty drinks which have homemade syrups (as far as I could tell). I had the bourbon vanilla latte and it was super yummy and unique. Would definitely come again.

I really appreciate moving away from disposable cups, even though I now have an extra glass jar to bring back... but it comes with a cool coozie so it's also great advertising. It was a little hard to see from the road and had to double

Really cute coffee shop with very interesting art. Delicious , cold brew, and biscuit. There’s plenty of parking and inside and outside seating options.

The coffee is delicious and the space is comfortable, thoughtful, and honest. Straightforward and friendly customer service make it easy to order a great cup of coffee. They offer house made biscuit sandwiches and they blew my mind.

Being new to the area I'm in search for solid coffee shops and this one hit the stop for me. The workers are so pleasant and extremely nice! And their coffee is wonderful especially for a fanatic like me. I can't wait to come back!

Marvelous service, appealing presentation. This is a cute spot with a youthful vibe. The music was too loud but the coffee & service was great.

Great service and drinks. Just the right size place. Didn't plan on going until my friend said turn around and let's go, no regrets! They have no sugar or creamer if it's a must in your coffee, still good stuff.

The best pour over coffee in the whole metro. I'm not an espresso fan, but I'm told it's excellent here too. Don't expect to find any cream and sugar here though. This place is for coffee purists! I love it.

  • Sam Stokley

Out of town visitors who love coffee. This place was v cool with how they give you a jar and a coozie. Gladly pay the dollar extra. Super kind, suggested the best beans for me, and masks required.

  • Dana Szabo

Great tasting coffee and pastries. They have artisanal coffee offerings and pastries, and biscuit sandwiches. Definitely a good choice if you want excellent coffee roasted in-house.

  • Stacie Ferrell

We stumbled across this little gem on the way to the Nelson art gallery. Super cute and eccentric with unique artwork and friendly baristas. My drink was fancy looking too!!

  • Sarah A

Really good coffee! They make a perfect flat white. I also enjoyed the sausage and egg biscuit.

Great stop for coffee. Craft, local, quality. Roasted next door, sometimes you can smell them roasting while you're there. Friendly staff. Small spot, but nice.

Love the London fog! and donuts! The girls love the biscuit, egg and sausage sandwich! This is a great place and have seating inside and outside! ❤️ …

Cute spot! The Vanilla Burbon coffee is SO good! The vegan cinnamon roll was good though probably better warm. The donuts looked awesome too. More

This place is more Portland than Portland. It has the best roasted coffee beans and the staff is very knowledgeable about their trade.

  • Jean Miller

Their cafe latte is a thing of beauty. So good I had to order another. We love the vibe... and the staff is kind and attentive.

  • Samuel Niemeyer

Everything was great. But not a lot of sitting room. Seems like some wasted space they could use to fit some more seats.

Amazing environment, odd location but fitting. Absolutely adore the outdoor seating.
