Was a really good experience and the sommelier teached us about the Amsterdam cheeses, the difference between them and also gave somes ideas for recipes. I really recommend to do these experience, especially if you like good wines and nice cheeses. È stata un bellissima esperienza. In più ci ha dato delle idee di come utilizzare i formaggi olandesi in diverse ricette. Raccomando caldamente di fare questa esperienza, specialmente se siete amanti dei formaggi e del buon vino. A fost o experiență foarte frumoasă și deosebită. Sommelier-ul ne-a învățat lucruri interesante despre brânzeturile din Olanda și vinurile pe care le-a folosit. De asemenea, ne-a dat câteva sugestii în privința faptului de-a folosi brânzeturile în diferite rețete. Recomand să încercați această experiență, mai ales dacă vă plac brânzeturile și vinurile

Absolutely one of the best “tastings” we’ve ever experienced. After a bit of history about the company and cheese making, Ron took us through 5 distinctively different cheeses, dating each for color, smell, flavor, and consistency. Each was also paired with wine and he gave us other suggestions about food, beer, liquor, and different wines that pair well with each cheese. Perhaps most important of all was the taste of the cheeses! I don’t think I’ll ever be satisfied with American cheese ever again. Don’t be fooled… by any “Dutch” cheese…read the label and if it’s not “Old Amsterdam”, it won’t be as good! Best 60 minutes you can spend in Amsterdam if you like cheese and want to know a little something about the differences and quality taste.

Went for the cheese and wine tasting experience on GetYourGuide with my girlfriend. It was absolutely fantastic! Summary of the company at the beginning and an introduction on how the cheese is made and stored. We then started tasting the cheeses, we had 5 different kinds! Paired with both red and white wine. Wrote down things such as taste, flavour, consistency etc and had our certificate signed at the end! We also got a 10% discount in the shop after the experience, which was very useful as we loved the cheese! Thank you for an amazing experience!

Adım başı peynirci olur mu, vallahi oluyormuş. Dünyanın en büyük 5. üreticisi olduğundan oluyormuş. Dükkana girer girmez ağır bir koku var ama 5 dk sonra alışıyorsun. O kadar çok çeşit peynir var ki, kimyonlusundan, sarımsaklısına, kuru domateslisinden, pesto soslusuna uzayıp gidiyor. Biraz sert bir peynir ama aroması dehşet. Almadan önce mutlaka tadabilirsiniz, almak zorunda değilsin. Genelde Gouda ve Edam peynirleri yaygın. Bir de bunun gibi turistik cadde üstü yerlerden almanızı tavsiye etmem, ara sokaklarda daha uyguna mutlaka bulursunuz.

Wir hatten ein Käse + Wein Tasting und es war Klasse. Durch Zufall waren wir nur zu zweit und hatten ein Privattasting. Es war sehr lustig, da wir den Veranstalter überredet hatten einen Teil auf deutsch zu erklären. Die Infos zu Geschmack des Käse und wie er sich verändert in Begleitung von Wein wurden prima erklärt und natürlich auch gleich getestet. Wir waren danach positiv beschwipst von Eindrücken und dem leckeren Wein und satt von tollem Käse. Bitte auch unbedingt in Deutschland anbieten.

I went for cheese tasting here and had a great experience. They offer cheese ranging from 1 montj to 2 years old. My favorite was the one with garlic and sun-dried tomatoes and their 2years old vintage cheese. You get a glass of wine and a platter of olives, breadsticks, stroopwaffles and grapes to pair with your . The timings for tasting are 14:00 to 17:00 and price is €15 per person. The host there was kind enough to allow me after 17:00 and was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

100% recommend! We had a group of 10 people for Cheese and wine tasting Super happy! Very good and funny instructor told us some history and theory about production of cheese. Then we talked about actual cheese tasting and tried 5 different cheeses and 3 different alcoholic drinks to go with cheeses It was more than enough of tasting and the quality of everything was ten out of ten. On the first floor there is also a cheese shop with good variety of products and nice design.

I got some good souvenirs here. But I recommend you to buy cheese that is wrapped well because when I arrived Stockholm, cheese in the round box I bought had mold I guess because of humidity in the bag during I traveled (I had to traveled 5 more days after I bought this in Amsterdam). The staffs recommended me that I could save it outside refrigerator not over 14 days and then I have to keep in the coldness and eat before the expired date on the label.

Outstanding selection of cheese samples!! Huge variety of cheeses available.. store very clean, well laid out... storefront with clogs is awesome!! Very welcoming environment & staff friendly too.. Don’t leave Amsterdam without buying some cheese! Bought a 3 pack of Very Old Aged Gouda... absolutely delicious!! Wish I had room in my luggage to bring home a wheel of cheese!!! When in Amsterdam... go here! ❤️

Can't rate this experience highly enough. The venue was stunning - purpose built and very comfortable. Our host, Ron Pieters, was extremely knowledgeable - not only about cheese and wine but also about other drinks, foods and of course, Amsterdam. The hour went way too fast as we loved listening to his stories and information. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone with an interest in cheese.

Nous avons participé à la dégustation de vin et fromage avec Kilian et nous avons ADORÉ! Les fromages étaient très bons, bien agencés avec les boissons offertes et le présentateur était très dynamique, sympathique et attentionné envers ses invités. Nous avons appris beaucoup sur le processus de fabrication de fromage. En somme, nous recommandons à tous ceux qui veulent découvrir le fromage des Pays-bas !

La boutique propose beaucoup de choix, avec des coupoles pour chaque afin de goûter. Nous sommes repartis avec les “baby gouda” classique, au poivre, aux herbes (offre 3 achetés, 1 offert) et du fromage fumé : format parfait pour en ramener à la maison et/ou offrir. Les vendeurs sont accueillants et de bon conseil. Les tarifs restent plus élevés étant donné la localisation, mais la qualité y est.

Levei algumas lembrancinhas e aprendi muitas curiosidades por meio da degustação, com destaque para os queijos mais maturados e a história dos Países Baixos. Vale a pena!

Old Amsterdam is arguably one of the nicest cheeses in the world and makes this city proud. This cheese shop at Damrak (very close to Dam Square) sells the various types of the cheese (age, flavour) and the staff in the shop explain patiently these different types while you do the testing. Please go and visit this wonderful shop when you are in Amsterdam

Had an amazing wine and cheese experience with Old Amsterdam! The staff were friendly and personable and made the experience extremely engaging and fun. The cheese and wine were delicious and we walked away with such respect and adoration for the culture and craft of cheese making. Will definitely be back and happy to recommend to anyone!

The cheese and wine tasting by Ron was beautifully led, and every part of the process was well explained, while also helping us enjoy the nuances of the tasting. Also, if I had to recommend the best cheese to buy, it would have to be the Old Vintage Amsterdam Cheese. You can't find this anywhere else in the world and it's brilliant.

I loved that cheese store. Old Amesterdam cheese store is located very close to Dam square , worth a visit . The offer samples to taste from all their cheeses and as well have offers on some items while. Some cheeses are packed with a charcuterie board which makes it great for a gift. Display is very nice and staff are welcoming

其實滿看運氣的，有個店員滿冷漠的沒有多說話也不介紹。有個店員太熱情，試吃到不想吃還是被推試吃，滿有趣的經驗。 價格不貴 營業時間到10點晚上，推一個～～～～～～ It really depends on how lucky you are. When we visited the shop, one the the staffs was so ignorant. Didn’t trying to help us or welcome and anything. But the other staff at the time was too enthusiastic. Good cheese though with a fair price.

The cheese in this place is SOOO good! We walked in and had a few testers… next thing we’re walking out with blocks of it! The staff were very accommodating, they offered us lots of different samples and explained to us about the cheeses ages, the strength etc which then helped us make up our mind on what we wanted.

We did cheese and wine tasting hosted by Ron Peter and it was a fantastic experience. Our host was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The information presented was interesting but not so much information to become boring. And of course the cheese was tasty - and good size portions to really taste each piece.

Authentic traditional cheese experience! Different flavours and aged categories can be found and most of them are available or testing! Test them out and get your favourite one! Price seemed also convenient based on the authenticity’s delivery taste! Highly recommended place when you visit Amsterdam!

Had the cheese and wine tasting for 15 euro per pax. It was mainly cheese tasting, with a glass of wine to choose from. The cheese tasting platter came with some biscuits, grapes, olives, and stroopwafels. As for the cheese, I love all of it but with a special preference for the 2 years aged cheese.

A fun and interesting experience for what it is - a quick tourist tasting session - especially given its €20pp. The guy leading the session knew his stuff and was passionate about the subject matter. The selection of cheese and wines were good, and we learnt a bit about our favourite cheese.

Friendly knowledgeable staff and an amazing range of traditional flavoursome cheeses. The store is clean, open and modern in a great location. I’d highly recommended trying Gouda which the Dutch are famous for. Also, don’t forget to grab a photo with the Dutch clogs outside the store

Visited in 2016. A wonderful shop. The verity of cheese is overwhelming. They also let us try out various types of cheese. The sales girl was very friendly. The place is located very close to Amsterdam Centrall train station. Overall a memorable experience.

We went for the cheese tasting and wine pairing experience and couldn't recommend it highly enough. Our host Ron made this experience very enjoyable. The experience was informative and absolutely delicious we even bought our favourite cheeses after.

We had stopped at several cheese shops before arriving here. Their cheese is marvelous, we bought several pounds. If you are flying back to the US, you should place the cheese in your check bags. Security does not always allow cheese in carry on.

This is my third time doing a cheese tour with Ron and he is fantastic - the Old Amsterdam Cheese tour let’s tour you sample some fantastic cheeses while also bringing out additional amazing flavors with expertly paired wines/port. Thank you Ron!

False 'authentic' cheese brand. The cheese (a Gouda) has nothing to do with Amsterdam, nor is it old (not 10-12 months). Find a real kaaswinkel outside the city centre and taste some real old Dutch cheese!
