What an amazing find! How this treasure location has been here for so long and I had no idea I'll never know. We stumbled across this historic recreation and enjoyed everyone and everything in it. We will definitely be back. We also hope the city of Dallas recognizes the treasure that it has and this location and doesn't mess it up. More
Plenty fun. Many barn animals. Beautiful greenery. Nice water fountain in the middle of their village which included a blacksmith, train, church, dentist, Train and much more. restrooms through out the property and everything is suited for strollers and wheelchairs. My son loved running loose here, large space for it. More
We went on Labor Day. Houses were all locked and no park workers except the security guard. Pretty much walked through the park, looked in the windows of the old houses and read the historical plaques. Definitely interesting to history buffs but would have enjoyed it more if we had been able to go inside the houses. More
The old school is haunted the piano sometimes plays a tune for you if you ask and it’s locked. We have captured other stuff. They have a pet day , paranormal day and good food to eat day. I love this place. Come and see for yourself and enjoy you’re day there. Check on the websites to see what is going on :)
The spectre, or paranormal ghost experience isn't worth it. The experiences/events don't list prices anywhere but generally it's over priced. The best thing about the place is just the actual town, which i believe is free. It's great for the free experience. For any of the paid it's over priced. More
Old City Park in Dallas is a beautiful and historic place to visit. It's a well-preserved glimpse into Dallas's past, with its vintage buildings and serene green spaces. Whether you're interested in history or just looking for a peaceful place to stroll, Old City Park is worth a visit. More
This place should be talked about more if you are a history buff like me you'll love this place. Due to flooding some of the places we're closed off but it was still great to experience. They don't charge admission but they do take donations please donate to kero this place relevant. More
Learned about the history of the area. There were volunteers in costume explaining the particular buildings. Super cool to see. Do a self guided tour or rent a headset for an audio tour. We went on a Saturday morning and there was not a lot of people in the park.
So bizarre, never would have thought to find an ancient park in the middle of the city. The trees are so beautiful and the buildings are right out of the history books. The donkeys and the sheep are so happy, and it is a nice place to stroll. More
Didn't mean to go there. The address given to me was WAY off. At least 1.5 miles off. I'm calling him up to find out if he lived in the middle of a park. He's getting pissed with me cause he thinks I'm some idiot who can't follow directions
I discovered the place in the last minute and I didn't regret of going there. At the beginning I thought that it was expensive but the village has too much to offer. Everything is well conserved and the village is amazing, even more we were
We went to Old City Park as a "time filler," really not expecting much. I was glad that I was wrong, we spent a couple of hours here and would recommend it to anyone. The history behind these places and the snippets of info that tie larger
This park was so much fun and it’s FREE! I love history and learning about the beginnings of places that I visit. This was a full town where you can take a walk through history and really immerse yourself in the full experience. They had a
For $6 children's ticks and $10 adult's tickets, I would highly recommend checking out the Dallas Heritage Village. This outdoor museum is a collection of historic houses significant to the creation of Dallas and is a beautifully preserved
This was during the Christmas ⛄ event and it was Awesome! This is a special treat for children because they can be entertained and learn about American history at the same time. The staff is very polite and it's so much to explore and
The audacity of the staff! We drove 45 minutes, arrived at 12 PM (opens at 10 AM)! We get the kids down and settled! The gates are locked, there is no sign to say it's CLOSED or that there is a private event! We waited and saw some staff
I wish I could give a good review. Unfortunately I was not able to ever see the venue. We were in town for 3 days and tried to visit two different days and both days it was closed for private events which their website never mentioned. I
This is such an adorable park! What a great way to spend the day (when it's not freezing or blazing out). This park also offers blacksmithing classes, which is what brought me here in the first place! What an amazing experience! John was
I am visiting from overseas and this is one of the best things to do in Dallas. So many old buildings to explore and interesting stories to learn about. You can find Gene down by the blacksmith shed. He was an awesome guy and great guide
Really enjoyed my tour with Angie. She was so sweet and knowledgeable about the buildings. The ticket area, general store, saloon, donkey area, and Sellerman house representatives were also so kind. Manuel at the Dog run house was also
We went here because it was included in our pogo pass and with least expectations. But we loved the concept, the history in each building they setup, the area with lot of trees and shade. It is no more included in pogo pass and is free
It was a pleasant experience this last Sunday. For a limited time, entry is free with the opportunity to enjoy the whole park! Take great pictures and for a moment, feel like you were living in the 1800! More
I had a great time! I remembered going here has a child for school and I was able to bring my daughter & share this experience with her too! We didn't reserve a guided tour and still had a great time! More
It was a very good experience exploring old city buildings. Had great fun and got more information on old Dallas. Very good area in the middle of the town with free parking. Also good restrooms. More
We had a really great time exploring the village. It wasn’t busy and we were able to see everything. Lots of farm animals and staff were in period attire. It was super fun even for two adults! More
It was a good experience to see and know about the old city. There are people available in some of the buildings who can answer if you have any questions. Kids had fun roaming around More
We had a good time here exploring all the old buildings and the stories behind. Definitely beyond our expectations and it’s free to visit. There is a free parking lot nearby.
What am amazing little pace. Genuine pioneer buildings brought to life by the folks who acrlt as living exhibits. Rral shame they don't sell beer in the saloon!
