Everytime I come here to the 1st floor, the staff are always with attitudes. I understand they deal with plenty of people daily, however Despite your pleasant attitude towards them, its rare to find anyone behind a desk who deals with you with respect or pleasantly. They seem to act like we are "bothering" them. I have no lawyer at the moment and I've been fighting my way to defend my son as well as myelf, their indecent attitudes can go without and the behavior is inappropriate for this job position. When I asked "Gretta" for a policy/complaint form or any direction to find/ go about complaining, she gave me their business card!!? Wow!! Also, no matter the time I arrive there, I wait over 1-3 hours for 5 tickets to be called. Last week I arrived before 2pm and waited until amost 5pm to be called. They advise "If you have not been called by 5pm, tough luck, you won't be seen", regardless of how ling you've been there! Yesterday I came into the office, 1 hour before closing, 6 people ahead of me. For 30 minutes 3 people were behind the desk and NO ONE WAS CALLED. I watched them all just sit there, some texting on their phone, and Cracking jokes with other employees. Why give out a number if you refuse to help the people even after they wait for over an hour plus?? This shows extreme disregard for people and lack of consideration. I come to this court house everytime from south etobicoke with a 1 1/2 year old active child. The least these people can do is have more consideration and understanding to what we go through. If they don't like their job, dont work here! Please don't make them take it out on us, its not our fault they hate their life, this is ridiculous!!! Some of us are trying to protect our lives and to them its all a joke!

Family court section is a total joke, run by a bunch of monkeys for staff that are overpaid and underperform. Have been here 6 times for my current matter. Following things I've noticed: - None of the staff are efficient, taking sweet time to do their jobs. Wasting people's time. Then they'll go for a 3 hour lunch afterwards, won't return until 2pm. - Staff give out the wrong information, you'll hear conflicting information talking to one person, and then the other. Information should be consistent as to the serving process, what forms to use. Staff are also rude. - Security guards fail to do their jobs, allowing people to just go through with the metal detectors going off. - The counter one morning opens 19 minutes past the required time of 09:00am. All staff came in late. On top of this, only one person at the counter, with dozen people waiting. - People that don't have their forms in order, should lose their turn, have to retake a number and go back to the end of the line. Today I sat for an hour, 3rd person in line and they hadn't even called me up. One person not even serving 2 people in one hour, is highly inefficient. - Children's play area left in dirty, disgusting state. If a parent left it like this, children would be removed from the home, but an Ontario court is able to do it. There's no justice for fathers, or anyone for that matter in an Ontario court.

This is the most disgraceful agency I have ever been to, known of, or have to do business with. There are four counters and only one person works the counter. I’ve been to this location more than once and no one more than one person is at the counter. How are you to conduct business like that? There’s several people are weighting. This was not announced to us. The security had to come to us to tell us it was closed and the clergy did not disclose this information to us directly. This is not professional business. There is a clear breakdown in the firm. This is not access to Justice. Now instead of spending time with my family, I’m lodged here and taking up residency. When your talking with one client for an hour there is NO WAY there’s no legal advisement happening. This area is to stamp documents etc. this is not for advisement. She spent one hour talking with a lady and giving advisement. Same advisement she did not give me the liberty of having.

If I was condemned to hell this would be that. People working behind the counter are super rude and unhelpful and make you wait unnecessarily when you can just mail in your documents. Each person being serviced takes an entire hour. We showed up at 8am and by 9:30 we still hadn’t seen anyone. DO NOT COME ON A FRIDAY! In fact avoid coming here at all costs. Even the parking makes no sense. No one in the booth to validate parking. Sign says pay upstairs but there is actually nowhere to pay. Locked in the parking lot. Finally the attendant shows up and claims she always comes late on Friday. What a stupid system. Tax payers money at work once again

One front line secretary to rule them all. And in the darkness bind them. Be prepared to be disappointed every time you go here. You may have to go several times to get the simplest thing completed. I would suggest to never go here. Every staff member working here has a different take on law and what needs to be done. Arrive Minimum of 2.5 to 3 hours b4 closing or you risk not being seen/heard. Overall, they are a buisness making money on claim fees. No Justice here. You have to fight hard and be lucky to get any justice. Even an innocent or victim may be punished further.

A monkey can do a better job running this place. My God. 3 times( after waiting in the line for over 2 hrs) I've been turn away cause only 1 or 2 staff working. Even with full staff they are so slow. Overpaid yet always underperforming. They act like they're there to do u a favor. All i want is a simple answer for a simple question. Just to pick up the right form to submit and lady wouldn't even sit and give me an answer. Instead stood there ready to leave and threw the forms on the counter and walked away.

The reviews speak for itself. Go somewhere else, ANYWHERE ELSE. I waited for nearly two hours, once 4pm hit, the attendant informed the officer to tell myself and two other patrons that they're no longer speaking to anyone, come another day. Obviously we were annoyed. The officer couldn't take that request seriously and clearly felt bad but he had orders. Based on this experience, it's evident that the staff truly don't give a damn about actually helping others. It's a paycheck at the end of the day.

Short staffed always. What would solve this problem if the City would just privatetize this whole sector. Problem will be solved. Things would move much faster and the city of Toronto would save much more money also. Most government workers take advantage and "milk" the system. They would do the least amount of work while they get paid under government job and awesome Pension. You will need the whole day just to file one thing. Trust me it will eat up your whole day. Be prepared

Very very rude people. The reviews are true. Its almost as if its in their job description to be rude and condecending and sarcastic etc. The only advice i can give is to go early as possible before 915 am or else u will get stuck waiting for hours. Also be prepared for rudeness and no smiles no customer service no polite or courteous manners etc These people get paid well but are acting as if they hate to be there. Very interesting experience to say the least.

I went 4 times for family matter and only simple thing was missing they didnt considered waiting 2 min then are like put ur name in line again and it was lunch time for 2 hrs and another 2 hrs again in line same thing happen twice. And another 2 time i went tbey were close just bcs of heating issue. I had west my money on uber everytime i went and time had to took off from work..very dissappointed wid their services..:(

I absolutely hate this court system! I have spoken about 8 if not more legal aid workers and 2 lawyers and I’m back to square one! They’re asking me to call in again! This is how people take matters into their own hands because this is ridiculous! They are all lazy people and they just call you because they’re trying clear paperwork on their desk! They have no interest in helping us because we’re just paperwork to them!

This is ridiculous only 1 person working and they dont say anything to you they will just leave and not say anything to you they go on break from 10am to 2pm we all are waiting we need to be able to get in and get out with no problems this is the second day i had to come back cuz either something not filled out properly theres no help here at all either

Telephone info for enquires awful. No oppotunity to talk to anyone. Just wanted to ask a simple question about whether they offer Justice of the Peace services at this location but after many phone transfers, no opportunity to find out. No general enquiry number. JP info very elusive everywhere, not just this location. Why is this?

There's long wait time and a bit of a line up when you enter but at a court this is expected. Everyones professional security does their job to patrol and keep you feeling safe. Bathrooms are conveniently located close to the court room (a necessity for tiny bladder peoples like me) its interesting.

This court is extremely slow inside and via the phone I have been trying to get a situation fixed for years and still can’t resolve it. I spent 30 min on hold almost. I decided to give them a 3 star because once up in the court room they get the job done fairly. It’s just the first floor is sub par.

I had to go here to file documents. I bought all the documents with me but unfortunately they made me run around. I went here to and from work on several occasions, over nothing really. The staff on the first floor were very rude, showing attitude. It's been a horrible experience here.

They deserve less than a 1. No one ever answer the phone. I need to get my file pulled from archives to file a claim and I’m being held back because of this. Everyone in there needs to be fired

It a family court, it clean, there is security, and efficient ans friendly service... specially, if you are friendly to them
