Fairly generous to call it a museum, as its main purpose is to sell rather then educate. The showroom is larger then the educational side...and only a couple static dinosaur models are presented I. The museum section. (In pictures) That said it's a decent place to come in lounge, look at Opal and perhaps purchase one. Sales staff are good at explaining and finding something that matches the budget, or perhaps get you to move past the budget Rating it as a museum, not as a shop... Two stars cus it's free and you can always leave....
The “museum” part is tiny. Barely exists. There’s a few opals and fibreglass dinosaurs on display. But it’s mainly an opal shop. Got dirty looks after looking through the museum part and they wanted us to buy some opal jewellery. Not impressive but it’s free to have a look. It was clean. Not wheelchair or pram accessible as you have to go up escalators.

Free entry, some incredibly beautiful and unique opals, fossils, and nice "dinosaurs". Staff is well informed and tells you everything you want to know and more. ...well... and guess what... they even sell jewelry... that's why it's free... Anyway, it's definitely worth a visit!

Free entry. There were exhibitions of "opalised fossils", which was pretty cool. You get to learn something about dinosaurs, how these stones are formed. They also have a section where one could purchase opal jewelry.

It's a nice little exhibition, well done and informative. You will most likely end up browsing their extensive collection of the opal jewelry, ranging from affordable fake opal pieces to high quality very high brilliance pieces. I didn't know I even liked opals until I saw this collection.
The only thing about opal museum was the manikin at the bottom of the stairs and one at the top the rest was dinosaurs and a jewellery shop. If you’re in for buying opals perfect if you’re wanting to find out about the history of the opals this is not the place.
Beautiful display of opals and prehistoric. Only wished I could have afford some opals. Staff were very pleasant.
