"Went in to buy sunscreen, aloe, and a few items"
"WATCH THE TERMINAL BEFORE YOU PAY "
"After entering the store, my sister and her friends were told to get out of the store due to them having a four person limit which they did"
"WORST place"
"TERRIBLE STORE we bought 2 small water, 1 small juice"
Went in to buy sunscreen, aloe, and a few items. No prices were listed, but in a hurry I handed over my credit card. $90 later ($34.95 for sunscreen, $24.95 for aloe) and I realized I'd been duped. Went to return the items right after we walked out of the store, but was told that only the manager could return them if we came back in the morning. Came back the next day and they wouldn't let us return for a refund, despite what they said the previous night. Forced us to exchange for other overpriced items in store. Also re-ran the $34.95 sunscreen and it magically showed up as only $29.95 (makes me think they have special "markup" buttons they press depending on how much they think they can get away with). While we were arguing with them, others in line went to buy things and decided not to due to the awful prices. Glad we could at least save others from our fate. Avoid at all costs!
WATCH THE TERMINAL BEFORE YOU PAY ... REGISTER AND TERMINAL DO NOT MATCH !!! Came in to grab a bottle of coke full well knowing it would be marked up due to the location and convience. HOWEVER ... what we were not prepared for was after ringing up the soda and the register said $3.50 we were told it would be $5.95. Huh!?!? Um, no! We questioned him: "Register is broken, it's $5.95" We left without the coke - what a scam! WATCH YOUR TERMINAL BEFORE YOU PAY PEOPLE ... !!
After entering the store, my sister and her friends were told to get out of the store due to them having a four person limit which they did. Immediately the person behind the register accused my younger sister and her group of friends along with 2 other random girls of stealing and started threatening them that they have cameras in the store despite them not touching anything and being forced to go outside. The prices her are also outrageous and a clear tourist trap.
WORST place. Billed me $14 for panadol of 20 tablets (!!!!!!!!), told him that I'm not taking this in that price. Then he told me he can make it for $11, then informed him that still I'm not interested. Then he offered me for $6.50. From $14.00 to $6.50, now think about how good (!!!???) this place is. Not sure, if I had this much of bargain price in Sydney before (living here for 7 years)
TERRIBLE STORE we bought 2 small water, 1 small juice. 1 chocolate and 1 chips and it was $55. we are not good at english so after we paid we wanted to double check the price because it's too expensive and they never gave us the receipt even we asked them. SCAMMERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope you guys make money in fair way not like this. shame on you
Only giving a decent rating because they saved us from experiencing heatstroke with their supply of icy frozen pump waters with yesterday’s near 40 degree heat. However, I do not agree with the high prices. I watched my boyfriend get charged $9 for two bottles of water, and reading these previous reviews has shown that others have experienced worse scamming from this store.
Crazy Prices, I was there on Sunday and seen a lady ask the price of a packet of chips to see the staff only grin while telling the lady $10... Are they for real! I left disgusted after seeing that total rip off. I really wish I could give no star. Giving Australia a bad name by ripping off tourists right in the heart of Circular Quay #YeShouldBeAshamed
Crazy shop in sydney!!!!. My brother bought 3 chips and 1 mineral water and got charge $34 for those items. What. Normally the price only around $15. And after that, i just saw some people feel the same with us, they got upset because this shop have crazy price. Don’t go to this shop!!!. I just shared my experience this afternoon.
Please don’t go. A Rip-off store. Went to buy diapers. At the time of the scan the register was $9.9 but they charged me 29.9. I later checked the reviews and it seems to be a well-known rip-off store. The items did not have price tags on them and they did not give me a receipt. Why don't the police take any action?
SCAM SCAM SCAM Police BEWARE. He is ripping poor tourists and common people. Charged 10 times from my dad who was visiting from overseas. 20 $ for a 2$ chips. When I confronted later he replied go TALK TO POLICE THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING TO ME. SHAME ON YOUR STORE
This place has no prices listed on any of the products and they do charge quite a lot so ask before you buy. They do sell everything though (socks, tights, shampoo & conditioner, food, drinks, tea & coffee, cereal) so if you're desperate they probably have it
If I could give negative five stars I would. There are no prices displayed in this shop. I ended up paying $5.95 for a 1.5l bottle of water. I’ve also had some very overpriced transactions in the past, but never thought about it until now. Avoid at all costs.
Its a rip off place, only to scam and fool unwary tourists. AUD$6 for a half litre bottle of coke, which sells for $1 in a supermarket. They are only there to steal from you, by not putting up prices at display shelves. Avoid at all costs.
Stating one price on register and out loud then charging a completely different price. Watch the eftpos terminal like a hawk otherwise a $5 transaction turns into a $70 one. Ill be following this up with the local police and ACCC.
$13 for a 75ml Sunscreen. And that was the cheapest one. Do not go here. Complete rip-off of the tourists! Only putting 1 star cause it won’t let me put 0. This is Australia, sunscreen is a god damn necessity. Utterly disgusting.
Scammers they said my card declined put the receipt in their pocket and told me to try again I did and yet again put the receipt in his pocket checked my bank app and it had been charged twice scum workers don’t go there
Amazing business, luxury price: 450ml sparkling water for $5.50, with no price tag, because it's based on your outfits. Highly recommend this store to all Sydney robbers, they must have tons of cash at the end of the day
Awful store, rip off. No labels or even if labels they charge an extra 2 or 3 dollars per item. No reasoning with them that they should sell at labelled price....rip off merchants. Won't be going back!
Accused me and my friends of stealing (we didn’t) and said he will check his cameras we told him go ahead then he accused two random girls of stealing and they didn’t even set foot in the store.
The owner should be wearing a mask when he is robbing the public! No prices on items. And cheap items have prices inflated by x10 their price. No receipt given. Con artist. Scam. Avoid.
Doesn’t list prices and charged high schoolers $10.50 for packets of chips. Mutts run this rip off of a store, it should get shut down for those rats behind the cash register.
Disgusting rude people working at this establishment. The only reason they are still in business is due to their convenient location. Stay away.
Tourist trap. Prices are absurd. Nothing has a price tag, so you only find out how badly you're being ripped off when you go to pay.
Nothing has price tags in this store and when you ask the rude cashier a question he just stares you in the eye and doesn't answer.
$15 for a $2 packet of band aids says it all. The owner should be in jail. The worst of the worst tourist rip off joints.
The store got various types of products but honestly, the price is very high and definitely does not worth it
AVOID at any cost..The owner is robbing ppl in broad daylight..$17 for bottle of water and just one chips..
Ohh what a Lovely store for rip-off!! Thanks very much !! One bottle of water for 5 bucks!!!
Zay (not 100% sure if this is the right spelling) is so lovely and helpful!!
TOURIST TRAP. No prices, they charge a lot more. Do not even enter …
A nice little shop with well organised store and a super friendly staff.
Scam store, couldn't break more rules and regulations if you tried.
Now that’s something nice to see! Free healthy option for kids
