I am appalled and very disappointed at your reply to the gentleman with the American Bulldog. If you are going to make such a radical and blanket decision to refuse to treat an entire breed of dog, then you really need to do your research before replying - your reply makes you look uneducated and ignorant. The most important point in your reply is that the American Bulldog is NOT a banned breed in the UK. I would also like you to evidence your statistical information. The American Bulldog is the largest, but most docile of all the bull breeds. The "Ambull" is a descendant of the English Bulldog - absolutely nothing to do with the American Pit Bull Terrier - does this mean that you also refuse to register and treat the English Bulldog? The American Bulldog was bred as a utility dog for working on farms. The American Bulldog is an intelligent dog that is very loyal and protective of his family. He's the dog that would put his life on the line to save yours - unlike your veterinary practice. Of course, the biggest question is, would you similarly discriminate against an entire race of humans because you had heard bad things about some of them?

Incredibly welcoming facilities. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go 'the extra mile' to ensure that you have all of the necessary information to hand no matter what the intention of your visit is. You're never pressured into a decision, and it's 100% clear that what they recommend is truly in the best interests of your pet/s. Procedures are very thorough, even something as simple as a progress check. The pet plan they offer is amazing value for the many benefits it includes (not practice specific but I speak from my experiences with this practice). Even if you don't have to use it immediately, it's really does pay off in the long run! Would happily recommend this practice if you're a local pet owner and in need of a quality veterinary practice!

We have been with orchard vets for 2 years and quite pleased with their service. The pet plan offered y them is very helpful, especially if multiple visits are needed to the centre. The care provided for my Beagle at the time of his surgery was amazing. The staff are very friendly and considerate, always available to help. They always try to provide a clinic slot , even at short notice. The centre has easy access and there is parking space available . I would recommend this surgery to every pet owner.

We have been coming here for two years now. Sadly we discovered our cat was poorly and the vet found a tumour in his mouth. We had to make the decision to put our cat to sleep as he was in a lot of pain. The staff was great. They told us about our options when the tumour was discovered and what options we had when we decided to put him to sleep. As any pet lover will know, it was a really emotional time. The staff comforted us and helped us through a difficult time.

Thanks to Emma and all the team for operating on my cat Sonic today, after he got into a scrap with a tougher cookie! Genuine appreciation to all staff who help out when I can't manage physically. All the practice nurses and reception team are great and Emma;s skills are fantastic. We've moved home but we're not changing Orchard! It's so hard to find this combination of kindness, professional knowledge, value for money and genuine care for my cats.

Absolutely terrible they missed a key sign and my dog died of liver failier I'm so disappointed with theis vets I will neva take any other of my pets there they rushed my dog out because I had a specific amount of money and my dog ended up dying im heart broke if thay had done there job properly if they had they would of seen. My dog would of had a chance they didn't even look him over properly I will neva go there again.

I took my cat Holly in today, I have to say we've had a few bad experiences with other vets so I was quiet anxious. The professionals at Orchard simply blew me away with their kindness and caring attitudes. They took incredible care of Holly and for this I will be forever grateful. A massive thank you for the care you have shown us today, I highly recommend this practice...they have restored my faith today.

cannot speak too highly of the staff at Orchard Vets. They are all lovely, compassionate people, no rushing clients in and out, you get the time you need. I took my precious 18 year old Sammy to see Emma tonight and she very gently, lovingly and painlessly put him to sleep. I have never experienced the loss of a pet in such a gentle way. I will definitely be taking my other pets to Orchard.

We've been bringing our dogs here for 12 years and have never had a bad experience. The reception and nursing staff are all friendly and efficient and Emma, the vet we see, is fantastic. I have trust in all the staff that they will do what is best for the animals rather than what will make the practice the most money. The Health Scheme is good and I would recommend Orchard to any pet owner

Thank you for your excellent care of my dog. He fell unwell whilst in the care of my daughter and your attention, diligence and support saw him recover quickly. I have great faith in Orchard Vets. The best around. Also- anytime I phone up, the staff are always caring, polite and well mannered, dealing with my concerns and issues professionally. Highest praise for you all. Thank you.

Really lovely vets surgery. Every person my dog and I have seen has been extremely helpful and absolutely brilliant. The health scheme they have has already saved me a lot of money I would have already spent, and it means that I can get advice and appointments without worrying about weather the cost warrants the visit. Very much worth signing up with your fluffy friend!

  • Paul Varney

Terrible that I can't even register my girl with you because she's and American bulldog totally shocking you obviously do not care for all animals else you would want to help my dog who is the friendliest girl you'll come across (picture just so you can see you would have no issues with my girl you just want to put a bad name over a breed)

Would like to thank Orchard vets for all your support and service over the past 17 years. On the 16.10.23 we had to let our dear dog Milly go to heaven. The support and aftercare we received from the staff was Exceptional and sincere. Massive thank you guys for all your care. Much appreciated Mr E Kelly-Roche and Mr C Kelly-Roche

I couldn't say one bad thing about the staff here, everyone is so nice and friendly, always caring about what's going on. My dog, unfortunately, had to be seen as an emergency this afternoon and they were so amazing, they managed to fit him in almost straight away. This is an amazing vets and wouldn't ever go anywhere else

  • Helen W

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My cat has recently had to have an operation and has been well looked after. I had my worries about putting her through the op as she is nearly 20 years old but Emma talked it all through with me and I'm glad I went ahead with it as she is like a new cat.

  • Trevor Jones

Always a good service for my cat, never let me down, lovely people who really care, he needs to have his teeth done, they want £800. to do this, where on earth do they think that as a pensioner i can get this money? I have just paid £75. to have a full set of my teeth refurbished.

  • richard edgington

Super friendly, very professional and helped so much with Freddie when they effectively and efficiently diagnosed and treated his puppy strangles. So glad we opted for their comprehensive health care package which takes all the hassle away with insurance companies.

  • Shane Thornton

So you now refuse to deal with people who have innocent dogs , xl bullys ? You call yourself a vets but have point blank refused to help us paying customers. You should be ashamed of yourselves ! Not every dog is dangerous just because of the new ban. Evil .

  • Gemma Kanharaf

My whole family has their pets signed up to this vets. Without a doubt best service I’ve come across. Staff are lovely and so caring towards your animals, couldn’t ask for more! Have been with them so far atleast 7 years, and will not be looking elsewhere.

  • Susan Haydon

All staff are so friendly and helpful. Happy atmosphere. The scheme they run is so good. I would recommend it to everyone. I have moved house and am too far away to remain with them. I will miss Orchard Vets, its staff and scheme and so will my dog.

  • Elliott Hancock

This is probably one of the most caring, kind and professional vets i have ever been to, their staff are extremely friendly and really care about not just the well being of your pet, but also you as an owner, I recently did work experience

  • Kathryn Groombridge

I have used Orchard Vets for about 20 years now. They have looked after all my cats, now my dog too, and from time to time our ducks and quails. They always bend over backwards to help, nothing is too much trouble. Everyone who works there

  • BEALE

Don’t bother. Vet seemed unwilling to work with and make our nervous golden retriever feel comfortable before deciding he couldn’t be placed on the pal for life scheme and instead would have to be placed on the reduced scheme reserved for

  • Claire Allingham

After reading the great reviews, immediately I knew this was the vets for my pet. On arrival was met with a friendly and warm reception for myself and my cat. Everyone I encountered was lovely, professional and very informative with any

  • robbi atilgan

Very concerned to read about Paul Varney's experience with your surgery and perplexed that one of your staff would lump an American Bulldog in with American Pitbulls and other banned breeds and refuse to take the dog on. They need some

  • Savannah Williams

I find this the best vets I've been too. Customer service is great. The team are friendly and happy to talk to you instead of brushing you off like other vets I've seen. Actually explain things to you. Usually on time/early to see us.

  • Tom Harman

Recently had my dog neutered with Orchard veterinary Centre in Harborne. Very professional service received and I am very happy with all the care given to my dog. Would recommend the practice to friends and family.

Been going for years with the family cat. Always professional, helpful and honest. He was euthanised recently and I greatly appreciate care given by the vet and staff. Thank you so much

  • B I

Shameful, never would I give my money to such an unprofessional, discriminatory practice. I think you need to be re-educated and brought faward into the times or be left

  • Shaz Shaz
