I hired ottawa house painters for my entire house after we moved in. I actually didn't leave them a review when the initial job was done; only after a later interaction with them did I decide to post this. I got three quotes, and ottawa house painters was the second lowest of the three companies I had for estimates. I decided on them because Kevin had told me he could get the job done in the best timeline and schedule around our kids. We were also concerned about the paint fumes with the kids; but Kevin was able to offer me some options on paints that were quicker drying with less fumes. Our house isn't exactly standard, nor was the job straight forward; we have arched, raised ceiling in the loft, as well as a strange strip around the entire house that was painted on the ceiling the same color as the walls (some sort of accent for the ceiling I suppose, so required all ceilings done); I also wanted two custom painted rooms for the kids. I needed a variety of colors that can be difficult for bleed-through and cutting corners; including a black accent wall and a variety of light greys and blues. I do quite a few reviews online and social media and I'm usually pretty conservative. I was going to give ottawa house painters a 4/5 because they didn't have the lowest price, and the job still took an additional 2 days; however they really go above and beyond. The extra 2 days was used to ensure I was happy with extra coats that were necessary; and as far as the pricing it was still very competitive, and as always you get what you pay for. I've overpaid in the past for what's supposed to be the 'lowest price' one too many times. What took the cake and the reason I really gave them 5 stars; is my youngest had scuffed up one of the painted walls very shortly after we moved in and there were a few other places that had taken damage in moving things. Kevin felt for us; and since we still had the paint, he came over himself to fix up the damage free of charge. They really went above and beyond in my case. All this to say, I'm sure they can't guarantee their painting in every scenario against damage; but their customer service was unbeatable to me, all the painters did an awesome job; and both me and my wife were very happy with both the level of professionalism and care.

They promised to come twice "next week", never came. I had enough and ask them to refund my deposit and they were here the week after. I guess that is what it takes for them to show up. The the painter came: 1. He wasn't equipped with ladder to paint and was stretching with a stick to do the job :( 2. Left unpainted spots after 2 coats. After pointing the old paint showing through, he said he had no more but would try to use the pain on the empty can cover to do the job. It did the job but I only have one coat at these spots :( 3. They washed equipment in my tub and I had to clean around the dripping :( 4. When it was time to pay, I pointed out that over one month prior, I mentioned one less colour and ask if the quote was right. Well no, the charge me less accordingly but I had to ask for it :) 5. The painter lost his expensive sunglasses while doing the job. He came back 3 times and looking around while knocking during. 6. The owner is obviously struggling in keeping his business going and I had to call back multiple times as he never responded back to emails. 7. Very nice friendly painter than came! About the job: - Well done with no drips all around except for the missed spots, and in my house around the tub. Considering they have one job to do, that is to paint the surface, I gave them a 3 start for all reasons above.

We own two heritage rental units in Ottawa, but reside in British Columbia. The upper detail along the roof, window trim, railings, spindles, balconies and pillars required cleaning and painting. I was nervous attempting to arrange this work from a distance but looked at on-line reviews and decided on Ottawa House Painters. They were detailed in the scope of work we needed to have completed, responded in a timely fashion and took care to follow my paint choices and detail of the job. Once the work was able to begin they completed in very short order, which I found impressive given the height of the roofline. They completed the upper trim, including the small heritage detail that I did not want to lose. Our neighbours who own the 3rd unit in the row say that our units are now the nicest on the block. Ottawa House Painters sent photos of work completed and it looks just wonderful - from the pillars, balconies, trim, detail and the clear finish on the lower porch floors. I could not be more pleased. I felt the cost was within reason given the detailed work, the variety of surfaces and quality of the work completed. Kevin was very responsive throughout the process and was quick to respond to additional areas we wanted to add. Thanks very much for such a professional job.

My House had not been painted since I had it build in 2014. I needed an overall paint job from top to bottom (ceilings, trims, doors and walls). I contacted Ottawa House Painters at the end of October and spoke with Kevin. I was hoping to get the House fully painted before Christmas. He was very professional and rapid with the assessment and quote. Within 2 weeks, they were set to go with the project. It took the team a little more than 2 weeks to paint all the rooms in a 2600 square foot home (including the finished basement). I was extremely impressed and pleased with their painters - Roman and Myles. Their painting skills were top notch. They were extremely organized and well set up. They kept the House and the furniture very clean. I would recommend this team to anyone. I go to bed at night, and I can hear my house say “thank you so much”!! 5 stars!

Contracted OHP to paint all house interior except basement. The job was completed quickly by a crew that clearly wasn't very experienced. I had to make them come back to fix a paint mismatch error, many sloppy cuts and some spots that were not given a second coat. After a more experienced painter came back for a full day, the job looked better, but the overall quality of the job is still below what I would expect from a professional price tag. The attention to details is simply not there and even after the fix, I noticed that some of the cuts are uneven, screws in outlet are painted over, shower head with paint stains, a stain on the carpet. For the price I paid I could not recommend them unless they really revise their quality control and commit to only use qualified and experienced painters.

We hire Kevin's team to paint all the interior surfaces of a downtown 2-bd,2-ba condo. The painting project is very well priced compared to other quotes from other painting contractors. We had to reschedule the job several times and Kevin has been very patient and understanding. Finally when we were ready for the painting project, he managed to get the job scheduled within a couple of days. The painting job is very meticulously done, with elegant color palette and high quality finish. I am thrilled to see the substantial improvement in my condo 's market value. This painting job is such a great investment! We will enjoy the ambiance of the condo for many years to come! I truly appreciate the great work from Kevin 's team!

Ottawa House Painters painted all the interior walls in our 2000sqft family home in October 2023, bringing with them our requested eight colours and two finishes. Kevin and Marlon were super responsive, professional, flexible and accommodating. Marlon’s careful attention to detail and results were fabulous. We hired these guys to paint our new house and they did a great a job. The previous owners had painted the walls with some very deep colours and one room had sharpie drawings and writing all over the walls. It took a few coats, but with patience these guys were able to cover it and restore the walls to a beautiful light grey tone. Prices were fair and they showed up when they said.
