I was first introduced to this wonderful church a few years ago by a good friend who invited me to join him at Sunday Mass. It has since become my go to church. The community is warm and welcoming, demonstrating a sincere desire to live by their mission statement, a shining example for others in the inner city. Father John Sullivan, the pastor of the church, deserves special mention. Any one who visits will immediately feel his personal touch and love. I highly recommend that anyone sincerely looking for much more than a church visit Our Lady of Lourdes. I'm sure that you will quickly fall in love with the place and the community, as I have.

This parish used to be completely surrounded by the Wellesley Hospital which obscured most of its beauty. I saw it today and could not believe how beautiful this place actually is. It is located near Sherborne and Wellesley. If you’re in the area it is definitely worth a walk past to have a look (even if you were not Catholic). Someday I will have to go inside. There is a shrine out front and in the summer there is a fragrance garden. The plate states: please enjoy the fragrance and the beauty of the our Lady of Lourdes garden. Supported by the garden club of Toronto and maintained by volunteers from the church.

This is the family church, my grandparents went here, funeral services were held here for both of them in the 70's, my parents were married here in the 1960's, and again funeral services was held here (at least for dad in 2004) I was baptized here in 66 as was my son in 87. We still attend but not as much as I would like, no longer live in the immediate neighborhood but at times we come by just because it has so many long ago memories for me. We have a long family history at this beautiful church. The neighborhood has changed a lot but I'm thankful the church hasn't.

A place to worship which I find open when you want to go snd visit. A divine place full of positive vibes and blessings. There used to be a small statue of Mother Mary on the southern part of the building which was removed recently. And I miss it so much because I would bow and pray as i passed it. Now the main statue of Lady of Lourdes has under gone a revitalization and I feel that its not the same old statue. Why I can only feel sad.

The best parish I ever had! Welcoming, vibrant, faith filled community! Either praying quietly in front of blessed Sacrament or grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, one finds peace and nourishment for the soul. Parish community is blessed to have a kind and caring pastor, Fr.John Sullivan S.J., and few otherJesuit priests who help us to deepen our faith and relationship with God. Church is fully accessible.

We love this catholic church. The only church in Toronto that has a dome. Its very old and antique. Lots of history. Beautiful structure and design. Location is great in the middle of the city. Just walking distance from Sherbourne subway station. Accessible by bus too. Lots of parking for the church goers. Kind friendly staff. Very nice parishioners.. We got married here. ❤

Only place downtown with an evening mass on Sundays, making it perfect if I can't make a morning service. The priest when I went was very enthusiastic and you could feel his passion for Christ in the homily and prayers. Would give it 5 stars but the lack of air conditioning or any ventilation in this older building makes summer services feel like a sauna.

Attended mass since they opened after the covid lockdown. The church’s safety rules are intact and in place. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. I feel so welcomed. The mass online registration is very easy to navigate. I also had the chance to visit the church during weekdays, they are open as long as you follow rules like wearing mask.

I love love this church for my daily meditation drop ins! Very quiet and kind of hidden. Very peaceful for meditation outside of mass hours. Open daily to the public for personal meditation! Great decoration, it will give you a sense of peace and you'll leave rejuvenated and filled with the holy spirit! God bless you all!

It's one of the places you want to feel the serenity of the spirit when doing your prayers and talking to the Divine God. It helps you unload some of our baggages in life that sometimes we don't have even time to notice or question ourselves reflecting the whys we're feeling this uncertainty around us.

Church is open to those who wants to pray or to simply have quiet commune with the Lord from 7:00am to 7:00pm. ... Bursting with parish community events where all are welcome. ... Parish pastor and priests are very accommodating and will always find time even to just listen to you or for a small chat.

Lovely quaint Catholic church near Sherbourne station. The daily mass timings are nicely spaced out during the day at 8.00, 12.10 and 5.15. The Sunday masses are at 8.30, 10.00, 11.30, 1.00, 7.00 PM with a Tamil mass at 5.00 PM. They are very welcoming to newcomers and has a family feel to the place.

Solemn, historic building built in 1897 which has been a sanctuary to many people in need and a meeting place for early Filipino immigrants in the 1960's. It's beautiful to look at from the outside and lovely inside as well without being ostentatious. Theybalso have prayer services in Tamil.

  • Legion of Mary TO

Beautiful church near Cabbagetown. Plenty of seating and kneeling spaces near the Blessed Sacrament, the Our Lady of Lourdes grotti and the relics of saints (St. Ignatius, St. Therese). Very active lay organizations including the Legion of Mary. Home of Praesidium Mediatrix of all Graces.

  • Mark Toffoli

As Catholic Churches go the priest is open and welcoming, takes time to explain things to non-believers and makes it a positive experience for a visitor. The building is beautiful, reflecting the neighborhoods past high income level. A school of the same name is adjacent to the church.

Was introduced by my cousin on my 1st Sunday in this country in 1989 and until now it’s still we go and serve with my family. It was then a very welcoming church to me where I do apply to everyone who comes and worship. Thank you our Lady of Lourdes and keep up the good job!

I've been going here since 1975 when we came to Canada . I went to Our Lady of Lourdes elementary school and graduated when it was on Isabella st . I became an altar boy after a few years. I'm 53 now and most Sundays I am there . I. Have history with OLOL . Beautiful Parish

  • Kyla Tan

This is a large parish with multiple services. Due to the neighborhood, they actually have security guards during mass. They could use more donations as the place definitely needs renovation and new pews. Even in its current state, however, it is a beautiful church.

Lo mejor de lo mejor, haber escuchado misa en domingo en esta preciosa iglesia, la comunidad de allá su coro lo disfruté en el alma y el sermón profundo del sacerdote. Gracias a Dios pude acudir!!! Una experiencia increíble para mi alma y más aún poder comulgar.

I was very disappointed that the Church asks for donations, then they have the nerve to charge $1.50 for a coffee! Doesn't seem very Christianly!
