I am not a practicing anything my religion is of no consequence or importance only to me and my God. My disusssoins are many and OLV church is special to me does My reasons but in particular its impact on me through my life from my Scout confirmation, May day processions the visit of Mother Teresa my Wedding my son's baptism the many other weddings of friends and family more baptisms and sadly funerals my sister in law, my father and my two angles I've never seen. OLV church has helped me through many trials and tribulations. When I go there on my own with my thoughts to talk to God the church is warm and friendly the colours from the stain glass provoke memories depending on the sunshine and O follow the seasons through the tall windows above the side doors as the trees will at times show their new coat of leaves. autumnal colours winter frames and spring potential. It may be modern in design even still today but it's mine and a home from home full of memories good and sad.

As modern Catholic Churches go, this is a gem. Opened in early 1970s this church encapsulates the high point of Catholism in Ireland. Confident architecture, expressive artistic modernism, stunning stain glass windows, minimilist layout using the latest materials and engineering processes. Less about God and more about the institution, but sure it was the same in medieval pre reformation times. This church architecturally epitomises this over confidence, nay arrogance. For the storm that hit the Irish Church in relation to child abuse blew it away forever. The slow sad decline but for anyone trying to understand that period need only step into this beautiful church and realise that while this church spent millions on vain projects such as this, thousands where being abused. This church is amazing, you will be awed by its beauty. But remember the children.

My peace place to go to. I find real peace, and an atmosphere filled with healing and love in this church always. Fr.Frank is a very nice priest. I appreciate the hard work they have put in to maintain social distancing now and its smooth functioning. A beautiful church above all.

A quiet place to share your thoughts with your God. The main alter can be viewed from anywhere inside the church. This Church has wheelchair car parking which is free. Parking outside the church is chargeable. Wheelchair facilities is also available on entry into the Church.

Beautiful church. I was at a wedding here. The stained glass windows are beautiful especially when its sunny and the glass lights up. The church is really large and very cold, so make sure to wear a coat or a jacket.

A place you can pray and feel you are being listened too. Has all mod cons such as areas for young children where parents can watch services without the children being heard by the rest of the congratation.
