Quite disappointed after reading such good reviews. Went on a Wednesday night at 6pm. Was pretty quiet. Ordered 18 wings & the pork ribs, brisket and pulled pork plates to share and the corn & onion rings. We asked for the wings first and there was some problem with the order getting to kitchen. After waiting quite a while we received the plates and the sides. No wings. They told us after waiting quite a while that there was a problem with the wings order getting to the kitchen. Took another 20 minutes after finishing our food for them to come out. Not much of an apology was given for the very long wait time. Onion rings were very oily, id assume the oil in fryer wasn't heated up high enough as they were dripping with oil so we had them remade. Corn was served stone cold, i thought it would come out grilled & hot, maybe thats how they are meant to be served but they weren't that enjoyable. Pork ribs were good but portion was on the smaller side. Pulled pork was really nice. Brisket was very average, was expecting smoked sliced brisket but it came out looking more like burnt ends and was very fatty. Loaded potatoes that came with the brisket were really good. Overall pretty disappointing for the money spent and had higher hopes after reading so many good reviews. Perhaps it was just a bad night.

Attended: 30.12.22 - Dinner Family of 4 (2 Adults, 1 Child, 1 Toddler) What an evening to celebrate a birthday. Meals were great in every aspect. Wings dissolved off the bone, burgers were great and the desserts were brilliant. Outdoor beer garden had great views through to the nearby bushland. Staff were super friendly an accommdating with fussy toddler eaters and antics. I question places who try to cater for 50 dishes on their menu - Up the Quantity lower the quality... Not Here. Instead offering a few burgers, some platters, some standard pub dishes but making every dish on the menu to perfection Will definitely be back, and definitely for the Wednesday Wings!!!!

Unfortunately I have to give ‘over the road’ a poor rating. Tonight.. a Wednesday night that wasn’t very busy, it took over an hour to get three kids meals and four adult meals with one of the adult meals missing the chips, which the waitress asked if we had everything but then never returned. When asked after the meal was finished she apologised that she had forgot to get the chips by the time she walked back in. The previous time I went in on my own and again waited fifty minutes for a burger and chips. The food is good but until ‘over the road’ expand the kitchen to be able to cope with even small crowds I won’t be back. The only other casual dinner option in upper beac, the pine grove hotel is the go to for now.

We've been here before and the food and service has been great but tonight was a bit of a let down. We already had what we wanted in mind after looking at the menu online but the menu in the restaurant had been dialed back and was totally different to what was on their website. It took nearly half an hour for us to have our order taken and it took close to an hour before we saw any food. To their credit, they apologized for the wait and offered us a free round of drinks. Once we finally got our meals, the burgers and kids chicken were great but the brisket with loaded chats was dry all around but again to their credit they comped this as well. Hoping this was just an off night...

They have a wonderful outdoor area that is great for the kids, and mine thoroughly enjoyed the jumping castle. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the hype and the meals were okay but not what we were expecting. Especially dissapointing were the kids Mac'n cheese which seeemed to be Easy Mac in a bowl, with burnt cheese on top. For 3 out of the 4 kids to not like it, then you know something was not right. The adult meals, beef brisket and burgers where nice, but not the quality that we were hoping for or have heard about. I will happily try the restaurant again some time, but it might be a while.

I've edited this review to give Over the Road the benefit of the doubt, though I'm surprised the restaurant did not have control over their listing on Menulog. Please ensure that if you are hoping to have our order delivered, that you check it is available by phone first, rather than waiting 20 minutes for confirmation and have it cancelled instead. ------------- Really disappointed tonight after having some good meals in house. Why do you advertise on Menulog, take orders and then take 15 minutes to cancel the order. Don't get on Menulog, charge $10 delivery, if you are too busy to fulfil said order. What a waste of time!! I'll be checking my refund comes through....

Went here today for lunch, service was amazing!! The girl serving was soooo lovely! Food was served fast and fresh, and absolutely delicious! Was slightly pricy, but worth it. Even better was the fact they had multiple high chairs, AND a change table in the toilets for baby! And the inside is just divine! Love the old school country house vibes!!! Will be back :)

Omg yum! After seeing this restaurant on Facebook a few times, I told the fam we had to try it. The staff are brilliant (& make great cocktails), and the food was top notch. We ordered the bigger meat platter, loaded fries and calamari and all meals were amazing. I can't believe we almost ate it all (it's that good)! We want to come back for lunch to do burgers and milkshakes as I reckon they'll rock too (seeing them being taken to tables nearby made us all go, 'mmmmm'). An easy drive from Pakey and well worth it. If you love burgers (amazing pescatarian & veggie options too), ribs, chicken wings, brisket or fries, you've got to try this little gem for yourself.

I really didn't want to write this review because the staff are so lovely, but unfortunately after two visits we were left dissapointed with how expensive it was versus the taste of the food. The burgers were nice but really salty and a little dry, and the nachos were just dry and had hardly any sauces etc, just lots of chopped up tomato - It was alright, but so overpriced for what it is. Overall it's a lovely atmosphere and highly recommend for drinks on the deck, just be aware of the cost. Of course if you eat like a bird, you should be OK !

Came here afrer seeing a disputed review bouncing around on Facebook - the owners response was firm and bit sassy which I love so this had me. As a person operating a restaurant a bit of constructive criticism - ambience - not so great some accoustic panels or softer materials will help this. Staff - friendly / bubbly but just lacking a lot of knowledge and lastly the wait time was a bit questionable. Overall food was awesome I enjoyed my time I say this with love - its a new venue and these things need to happen in order to find your feet. I will return Hopefully to see this thrive!

WOW! what can I say! The food here is absolutely delicious! We had the shared platter and I cannot speak highly enough about it. Everything we had was so tasty and the price was so reasonable too. Amazing food. I didn’t have high hopes, just wanted to try something different with my partner for dinner but we loved the food and will return. I have to eat gluten free and I’m very intolerant to it, even if I accidentally only eat a small dose of it and I have had no reactions to my meal tonight! The brisket in both our meals were beautiful. And the gf loaded donut was just an added bonus! Definitely coming here more often.

Was curious about this place, so popped in for lunch. Very glad we did! The staff were cheerful, friendly and very accommodating. The food was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. We tried a couple of the burgers and some loaded fries, all excellent. And as an added bonus, the coffee was great too! We're going to have to get back there to try the dinner menu! Very impressed.

Delicious food. One of the best burgers I've had. We came with kids, it took approx. 20 minutes for our order to be taken and 40 minutes for the food to come out. Went to this place for a family birthday celebration with 17 people we supplied the cake and at the end of the night when settling the account was charge an extra $85 for bringing out the birthday cake, never had this happen at a restaraunt before. We were charged $5 per head in response to owners reply to contact me would have been easy as I left my contact details when I booked seems not much effort was made.

My second visit. A most enjoyable time here. Clean facilities, absolute courteous, helpful staff making us all feel so welcome and at home. Nothing was a problem with them. The food was again so delicious, satisfying and plenty of it. The pricing was very reasonable. Our evening was made so enjoyable we will have no hesitation of returning again. I recommend this "Over the Road Restaurant " to thoae who want a restrauant for a pleasant and satisfying night out.

Very disappointed. Another venue which charges top dollar for mediocre (at best) food. QR ordering system has discrepancies with the printed menu. So ended up ordering at the bar. I asked three times for our table to be wiped but still ended up eating in the previous patrons food mess. Beer was cold and the staff were friendly, albeit slow to respond. Always wondered about this place and now I know.

Was visiting the area and decided to stop here since it was close by. The fried chicken burger and the pulled/slow cooked beef burger were amazing. Went Friday night. Waited far too long for the meal. Paid and ordered at 5.53 and got served at 7.14. Burgers were fabulous but the loaded fries were very disappointing. Half a rice bowl of fries with melted cheese and spring onion on the top. Definitely not worth half the $16 cost. Staff are lovely but on a Friday night in a restaurant that wasn't full, the food ain't fast.

My husband and I called in today (Saturday 18th June 2022). I only wanted a soy cappuccino to go, but my husband also ordered a chocolate milkshake. This cafe deserves a mention due to the fantastic attitude of the two young girls who served us. The owner of this business should know how great they were. Happy, friendly service that is pretty rare to find these days. The coffee and milkshake were great too.

Burger was lacking in taste. Fries were cold and the server was even colder. Booth seat too low for table, back started hurting. Water not offered.

Into burgers, well the Over the Road Restaurant is certainly one to try in Upper Beaconsfield. Had the GOT BEEF WITH YOU $16.50. Does not come with fries and suggest you order some on the side. We discovered Over the Road through a Facebook post and so three of us went for tea tonight (26 March) and had an awesome time. We shared the rib/brisket/wings platter and banana split. Casual and welcoming environment. Staff extremely friendly, service exceptional and food amazing! Thanks team for making our night a wonderful experience. We will return with family and friends.

Never disappoints! Food is amazing . No left overs ever!. The brisket is absolutely next level, burgers are juicy & delish. Loaded fries, onion rings are the best. Yet to try more of the menu. We dined in the back room as a big family group for my dads 72nd birthday on opening night. Awesome vibe, super friendly and welcoming staff. The food was delicious, something for everyone, teenagers, parents and grandparents were all happy. Share platter definitely feeds 3-4 people. Looking forward to coming back.

Last Thursday went for lunch. The only thing good was the food, after waiting 40 mins for a burger and chips when there was only 4 others in the restaurant is pretty poor. I also didn't like the QR codes as my mother in law can't work her phone. The staff were rude to us and said WE HAD TO ORDER on the phone.

The menu is extensive. My meal was excellent & the service was great. Prefer table service for ordering g but the order system works. You would probably get more ses with personal table ordering but for the beer garden it makes sense. I will be back many more times …

The food here is amazing! Went here with a group of friends and we were all extremely happy, and some pleasantly surprised as they hadn’t expected much when they first looked at the menu before coming. But it was so good. Can’t wait to take the kids for the crazy shakes.
