"Lots of books all arranged by genre"
A smart and well laid out bookshop. The biggest downfall however are the prices that are being charged for second-hand books. I am a regular buyer at Oxfam bookshops in Harborne, King's Heath and Moseley (all in Birmingham), as well as the Altrincham store. All of these establishments have reasonably priced books, which makes it more pleasurable to shop, but for some reason this Chorlton shop charges astronomical prices. The stock here will not be shifting fast unless a very good review is carried out into the prices charged.
This is our little shop of happiness. Almost every week we go for a little walk and go get some books, because it keeps being restocked all the time, and we can always find something interesting to buy. Pricing seems very fair to me as well; and besides books you can also buy some little things, some chocolates, coffees, but also soaps and shower gels and other things.
Wonderfully comprenhensive huge selection books but the prices are not reasonable. The manager is very friendly. I've found several books I was looking out for there but I couldn’t buy most them due to unfair pricing. It was rather disappointing for me.
I had some pretty good cd's and dvds and they seem to be able to take the time to separate the wheat from the chaff instead of just putting 5p stickers on them all. I certainly hope i'm right because there were some stonkers in my last lot!
Lots of books all arranged by genre. Found a handful of sci-fi/fantasy. £2 each which I think is a bit expensive, but then Oxfam is always overpriced.
Good range of books, cds and dvds. Helpful staff.
Always something interesting
