After breaking down on the way to Melbourne from interstate, I struggled to find a mechanic that could look at the car earlier than a couple of weeks. I called Peter on a Saturday, who told me he could look on the following Monday. I turn up at 8am and he's taken the car into the shop before I've even left. I got a call within 2 hours of dropping it in. The prognosis was bad (it was an old car with substantial damage) and Peter did himself out of work by suggesting that it probably wasn't good value to fix the problem, as more problems were likely to follow. When I turned up to the shop later, he gave a detailed, understandable (by a layperson) explanation of the issue. After all this, he didn't charge me anything, saying I'd had a rough enough day already. Peter was responsive, helpful and very generous. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Quite clearly tried to rip me off! Needed my RWC done for my Mitsubishi Magna LPG dual fuel. Told me that there is no date on my Gas Tank (donut) and I would need a new one to comply with Vic Road standards. I am "backpacker", not a professional mechanic but helped a mate fix cars so all the stuff that he tried to pin me down for sounded a bit dodgy. Just to make sure, I went to a LPG licensed tester in Melbs who found the tank compliance plate in a matter of seconds and for free.

I experienced brilliant service at very short notice - like 8am that day notice. They were able to get my car back on the road that day which was amazing, talk to me in a language I understood, I was shown photos of what was wrong with the parts and was given tips on how to prevent further damage. And all just a short walk from La Trobe University. I was very happy with the service. I'll be back.
