I've been extremely pleased with my children's education at MSC. They are a more progressive school with a more liberal structure and art, music, dance, theater and storytelling classes. This is our third year at the school. Both of my children have been well served by their teachers and friends. If you are looking for an intense academic environment for your children, this will not be the right place. I personally am looking for a place which will nurture them and give them a love of learning. I think this place is right.
Standout school that runs k through 8. In our experience, it had strong academics plus great values and extracurriculars. Our son got into a great high school. The school teaches kids invaluable life skills like how to present, how to get along, and how to plan. MSC also has a unique wonderful program that integrates kids with disabilities who are cognitively typical into one of the classes in each grade. It thereby teaches acceptance and tolerance all around.
I enjoyed my elementary school years here, but I decided to move middle schools because my older sister hated her middle school experience here. I also keep in touch with some of my friends that still go there now for middle school, and they hate it. I'm glad I left for middle school, but i'm happy that I got to grow up there, it was fun and made me who i am today.
Im a former student at MSC (I graduated in 2015), and I must say that the teachers are the best that you could have. One problem that I had with it is that the teachers are not available all the time when you need them the most. But other than that, this is a good school, and I suggest that your child/children go to this school. The principal is nice too.
P.S 333 was my school K-8th Grade. I haven't been back since my 9th grade year. Looking back my experience, was pretty good. The teachers and principals are kind, you call them by their first name. We had yearly plays that the middle school students took part in. K-5th Grade was a better experience, than 6-8 grades honestly.
