Falsely accused of shoplifting!!! Went in with the girlfriend and she went to look at makeup so I started looking around the store. Some time had passed and I started to get impatient and wanted to go see more since we were in the city on vacation. I went to look for her and couldn't find her. I tried calling her and got no answer. Knowing that she didn't know her way around and she wouldn't leave without me for fear of getting lost, I began to worry. About 10 mins later she called me crying her eyes out because they had made a scene at the front of the store, hauled her in the back room and accused her of stealing because she was looking at some skin lotion, was going to buy it. When she got to the front she realized that the lines were very long. She put the package back on the shelf and proceeded to walk out. Turned out that an employee found the package and it was empty, because someone had either stolen it before or the employee did and was waiting to pin it on someone else. After my girlfriend was hauled in to the back room she was told to empty her purse and pocket by a male Loss Prevention Officer who spoke almost no English and was gesturing agressively because she didn't understand him. My girlfriend would always make a big deal about how much she enjoyed going to Jean Coutu stores whenever we visited New Brunswick or Quebec. No I don't think she'll step foot in another one. As a licensed Security Officer and being a Loss Prevention officer in the past, the situation was handled very poorly.

Really disappointing customer service. I was getting new medication, but was told that it had expired. They never told me previously that it was expiring and I'm there every other month. I had seen my doctor two weeks prior who told me my prescription was good for 2-3 years, so I was shocked when they told me it was expired. The pharmacist's assistant stared at me and basically said "too bad". He then printed off the original prescriotion, circled that it was only for 6 months and essentially called me a liar. He was extremely rude and told me that I should have known, so I explained that I couldn't read the doctor's writing (who can?) and that I was going off of what the doctor told me (literally two weeks ago when I had asked if I needed to renew). The assistant went on to tell me I was wrong, that my experience never happened and was impossible. He insinuated further that I was lieing, I was completely taken aback. I see my doctor told me the wrong information, which is frustrating but overall fine because it's a small error that is not life ending. What I don't need is being called a liar and ridiculed by the pharmacist's assistant. All he had to say was "I think the information you were given is wrong, because the records we have show that they're expired. If you can see you doctor and get a new prescription, we can process the request," rather than calling me a liar repeatedly. Never going back to Jean Coutu.

Probably one of the worst of all Jean Coutus. It's right next to my work so I go there when it's an emergency or forgot my meds, but try to avoid. They made mistakes twice in my folder so I couldn't order my medication. On top of that they kept accusing me. They don't hold many medications so you have to go elsewhere anyway. Plus just now, I called to have my prescription ready and he asked me when I would come, I said 20 min and he said it would only be ready in an HOUR. I am quite angry because I'm on my way to work and forgot mine, and if I don't take it when I need to I get dizzy and nauseous. Now I'll only be able to pick it up after work, which means I have to work feeling that way. I've never had any pharmacy telling me it would take that much time, plus I called at 11am. Not as if it is a usually busy hour. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the cashiers are always very nice in front.

man, this jean coutu is bad. first, its pretty small and doesn’t have many things compared to other jean coutus. also, had a really horrible experience in there. i was changing into different shoes after picking up a few things (they were uncomfortable) and had an incredibly rude staff member came up to me and was yelling saying really unnecessary things. She told me and my friend to leave, actually shouting.. I was in shock. I actually called later and spoke to the manager.. after that she called me and told me she spoke to that staff member and the woman was just scared of covid .. what a horrible reason to be shouting at customers. not to mention her mask was sitting low on her face to have that be the reason… recently , though the staff have been nice.

J'ai eu un très mauvais service à la pharmacie. Il était 14h, personne au alentour à part une autre cliente devant moi pour donner ma prescription. 20 minutes, plus tard, tous les autres clients qui sont arrivés entre temps ont eu leur commande et toujours rien pour moi. Je suis allée me renseigner poliment à la caissière deux fois et elle m'a assuré que ça s'en venait. 40 Minutes après mon arrivée, toujours rien. Je suis allée demander ma prescription et je suis partie. Aucune excuse de leur part et la pharmacienne m'a passer un commentaire bête en partant. Très mauvais service et ce n'est pas la première fois. Pour ma part, je n'y retournerai plus.

I was accused of shoplifting. they confiscated my property, refused to show me the security footage and getting any information about contacting management was just pulling teeth. Even after i was given a businesscard, calling the number was a dead end. I gave my full cooperation and took their concern seriously, and i regret not getting the police involved as this event made me 30 minutes late to work. Come hell or high water, i will be following this up, even if i need to go the legal route over some unopened sponges in the bottom of my makeup bag.

If I could, I would give this store a negative. I have a zero tolerance for RACIAL PROFILING therefore I feel that this review is absolutely necessary. The store owner is racist and was following and staring at us while our visit. We felt completely disrespected, especially that we are well educated African Americans. We complained at the cash, and the manager stated that this man was the store owner.This is the last time we'll be buying at this store, you can use my donation for getting a better education you ignorant man.

on the 18th of oct i have encountered a lady worker here at the cosmetics section who was so rude and aggressive. when i approached her she got upset as soon as i spoke in english. this is very sad and disappointing especially this pharmacy is right downtown at eaton’s center.. what if i was a tourist who only spoke english? she said she doesn’t understand what i was saying and continued talking angrily waving both her hands!? i was just asking where i can pick up a bag to put my purchases in.

Je suis abasourdi par la pharmacienne qui m’a « consulté » si on peut dire ça, au Jean Coutu du centre Eaton de Montréal. Elle n’en avait aucune idée ni recommendation pour une simple rhino-pharyngite. Je décide de prendre un sirop, ensuite je demande son avis, elle me répond par: « Je ne connais pas celui-ci » Avec tout le respect que je dois au corps médical, mais l’endroit adéquat pour cette pharmacienne n’est pas un comptoir pharmaceutique mais plutôt une université. Hyper déçu.

I went and asked about hand sanitizer which was advertised in this week flyer. I was told there was a shortage. I mentioned I am only asking because I saw it on this week flyer. OMG! I had a cashier and a floor clerk that came and with an attitude telling me there is none and something else not in a nice manner. Please some people have to go to work and we are very stressed out. Be nice and understanding. Do not advertise if we are going to be treated that way.

Très mauvais service en caisse la caissière avait juste envie que je dégage (C est vraiment l impression que j ai eu). Pas de bjour le visage fermé. Qd je parle de la carte air miles sa reponse : oh non c est trop tard me met tend le ticket et dit à la personne qui me suivait bjour er bien sûr c t la seule personne à faire la queu après moi... C t clair que cette.fille n avait juste pas envie de me servir correctement... pourtant... bref c est dommage!

10 décembre 2022. Ma fille s'est faite fouiller son sac et entravée à l'intérieur du magasin par l'agent de prévention des pertes. Il ne s'est pas identifié, l'a apostrophée avec mépris, puis l'a forcée à l'accompagner dans les rayons pour lui montrer la marchandise qu'elle a touchée. Ma fille n'a eu droit à aucune excuse. Le tout durant son jour d'anniversaire..! Bravo pour l'expérience clientèle..!

This pharmacy is way too small. It’s a nightmare to navigate the aisles when it’s busy. The cashiers are also incredibly incompetent. The two times I came here to charge my Opus card, they didn’t do it properly because my card flashed red at the metro turnstiles. Their debit machines also never work; my card got demagnetized not once but twice at this location! Go elsewhere!

Staff worker kept on following me and my 2 friends because she thought we where gonna steal when we weren’t even buying anything?? Then all their nail polish dosent have plastic sealing so I assume you can try them since you can open them and there’s like 500 of them but then a young worker with a blue and white striped shirt, brown hair female rudely told me to stop.

This is the only pharmacy I go to when I need a refill of my HRT prescription. Compared to the other Jean Coutu's I've visited, the staff are consistently polite, non-judgemental, and even offered to stock extra vials of my medication after there was a shortage (other pharmacies I visited were more dismissive). Worth the trip downtown.

Rude rude rude. Came in to look for some face lotion. Greated by the cosmetics employee and I responded with "Hello" and she made a face, whirled around, and walked the other way. Apparently speaking English is offensive. Cashier was also very grouchy. Came in another day for something else because we were in the mall - same behavior.

Shout out to Jasmine and the whole team of this Jean coutu,everytime i go there,the kind of 5 stars services they giving me makes me want to always come back...those people are so nice and respecful,they so educate and they know what they doing...my favorite Jean coutu for life...❤it's always a pleasure to go to this wonderful place.

Worst cashier ever !! She was ridiculously rude for nothing when we were asking her to cancel one item and she yelled and said she can’t do it because its too much work and she told us to stop joking around when we were doing absolutely nothing! Never going there again because it’s her job to do this and she was mean the whole time.

As usual I was told to wait 20 minutes and that only 4 ppl were in front. Waited 40 min! And after complaining I was told 5 more minutes. I had to really get upset for them to finally admit they didn’t even start it!!! What the hell!!!! What a waste of time. I can’t believe they made me waste so much time!

Just wanted to give the cashier my change in 25cents (i had around $4) and she rudely told me that she “doesn’t have time” and that it had to come already prepared in the change rolls25 cents change rolls are for $10, just seems as tho she didn’t wanna do her job‍♀️ …

Très mauvaise expérience, très longue attente à la pharmacie... J'ai apporté une prescription et, en plus de prendre 30 minutes pour 1 seul médicament, ils n'ont pas enregistré ma prescription dans mon dossier. Ma première, et ma dernière!

Une étoile de moins suite un petit soucis. J’ai fais faire ici une photo taille passeport qui a été refusé par le gouvernement pour une demande administrative. Donc, je recommande tout autre aspect ce jean coutu mais pas les photos :).

Exceptionally rude when trying to get my visa photo done. Made me pay twice because of their own mistake. Then I get home and realize that they failed to even successfully include the image on the CD that they made me pay *twice* for.

La pharmacienne ne connaît pas son propre système pour la facturation des mędicaments aux assureurs. Aucune écoute, pas aidante et un manque de courtoisie la plus élémentaire. J’ai donné une étoile parce qu’on ne peut pas choisir 0.

À chaque fois la même chose, personnel de la pharmacie désagréable, hautain et inefficace. Ils arrivent à se surpasser en mettant 20 à 30 minutes à 3 personnes pour accomplir quelque chose qui devrait être fait en 2 minutes.

J'y vais depuis des années et j'ai toujours reçu un très bon service. C'est tout petit, tassé, mais sinon rien à redire. Leur comptoir de prescription donne un service au moins aussi bon, sinon meilleur qu'ailleurs.

Je conseille à tout coeur ! J’ai reçus un EXCELLENT service de la part de Douha. Elle m’a aidé à ce que je trouve tout ce dont j’avais besoin. Très serviable. Elle a fait part d’une gentillesse formidable ! Merci !

Ne pas se fier sur la note globale de la succursale. Leur service à la clientèle est vraiment incroyable. Ils sont honnête, transparent et efficaces. Je les recommande fortement.

Je viens d'y acheter du chocolat dont la couleur et le goût étaient très bizarre. Pour cause : la date limite de consommation (best before) était en août 2019.

Service courtois et rapide au comptoir des ordonnances. Pharmacie un peu petite, mais très pratique lorsque l’on magasine au Centre Eaton!
