Horrible, horrible end of my experience with PODS. I used them to move cross country from Georgia to California. We did not have a delivery location planned since we were planning on purchasing a home in the area. So, we chose a zip code for the large city where we were temporarily staying. The Customer service rep assured us we'd could change that delivery address with no issue later. Everything went smooth for the pickup and delivery to the storage in California. Then, when I went to schedule a delivery to my new home address - surprise! they won't deliver to my new zip code - a mere 10 miles up the same highway. So now they force me to have the container shipped again to another storage facility - incurring another 600 dollars, then have it delivered from that storage facility to my new address for another 300 dollars. So, with this new logistical mess that they made, they force me to spend 900+ dollars to re-ship my pod to my address. The other gracious option was to have it delivered to the nearby city - 10 miles away - unload the container and hire a Uhaul to bring my belongings from the POD to my home. So, basically all the work all over again and pay extra for a Uhaul. Customer service was horrible and unprofessional. She did not even attempt to work with me on my simple logistical request. I even offered to pay the driver/storage area EXTRA to have it delivered at my location. How was I supposed to know that PODS would not deliver to my location which is in a nearby location? I will never use PODS again and I will advise all my friends to NEVER USE THEM.

My Husband was on the phone with Cusomer Service to arrange the delivery from the storage facility to the home we purchased. We found out that they don't service this city which is literally 10 minutes from the zipcode we initially gave them. We moved from Georgia to California and we didn't know where exactly we would find the home so we gave them the hotel zipcode. We asked to speak to someone that can help us but the customers service is not helpful. We want someone to help us and work with people not with zipcodes! We paid 3500 to make this move with them and they ask us to pay 900 more to have it delivered. Is not that we didn't pay or want things for free. They create this policies to get more and more? Even during hard times like this is a business for them. Be careful when you chose this company. They are not helpful in case you need human help! If a manager wants to reach out to me I would appreciate it. Update We spoke with a different representative and they adjusted the situation. I feel it was just that specific person. I regret I didn't take the name. She just didn't want to help period. Thank you for contacting us and finding a solution.
PODS provided a safe and affordable solution to my cross-country move. They gave packing tips, helped me find movers to pack the POD, and kept my items safe and secure for almost 4 months while I searched for a new home in a crazy real estate market. The drivers who delivered and picked up my POD were great and took care to not harm my property. Overall, I was very happy with my PODS experience. I would heartily recommend them to anyone moving, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. My only complaint was how long it took them to pick up the empty POD. Not only did the empty POD take up valuable space on my driveway during appliance deliveries, but PODS continued to charge me for the empty container while it sat in my driveway waiting for them to pick it up.
Horrible company! They say they deliver for free but then they charge several hundred dollars to deliver. They also refuse to deliver and bring the POD with them the same day even if it takes 5 mins to unload and you can't keep the POD overnight. Customer Service is very limited and can't connect you to the actual warehouse where you keep your thighs. So you can't speak with anyone to get answers. I had to deliver my things to an address where the POD could not be left overnight and even though it would take 5 mins to unload they refused to drop it without leaving it overnight. I am stuck and don't know what to do. And they charged me several hundred dollars to deliver it when they said it would be free delivery when I signed up. Horrible!
Pods delivered on their commitment to provide top notch service. In a world where you regularly hear of horror stories (ie. runaway costs, mishandled possessions, and delivery delays) from people who used full-service moving companies, or shipping brokers, Pods gave me the peace of mind of knowing I had maximum involvement/control over my move. Access to my belongings at the Pods storage centers was a significant convenience. That, and everyone on the Pods team whom I was in contact with, from Sales, to drivers, and warehouse staff were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. There were no surprises along the way, which is what you want when moving all your possessions clear across the country.
This was a first time using PODS. We decided to use them because we didn't know exactly where we were moving and knew we were going to have to store our belongings for a while. PODS afforded us this option. We were able to hire a couple of men from Pack & Load to load our POD, who did a fabulous job and were very efficient. We were able to schedule the PODS for when we arrived and didn't have too much time to wait. My only issue is that I've been trying to get a complete accounting of payment due and payments made for the entire move and haven't received what I have requested. But the whole process of picking up, storing and dropping off our items made the move much easier. I would do it again.
Taryn and Cesar are the best of the best! Truly. It’s my first time using PODS and I was so nervous about the delivery. Cesar delivered my first POD (which sprung a leak in the recent downpour of 2023) and Taryn came to do the swap and deliver the new one. He took the time to figure out exactly where we wanted it and was meticulous and cautious backing it in our driveway. I’ll 100% be requesting them on my next delivery because it turns out I have a ton of stuff and will definitely need more PODS very soon. :) Thanks so much guys, I really truly appreciate you!
We used your PODs to move out of state. Moving is stressful, moving out of state is very stressful. You need to explain in your website that: 1. PODs need a City permit if the driver is not able to move the POD inside the backyard. 2. Please let people know that most of the PODs charges, will be charge BEFORE the PODs are even delivered. 3. Your warehouse hours are very limited only 9am to 3 pm. 3. Your services are expensive, so you need to give better service. 4. The delivery of the PODs was on time, however the pick up of the PODs was not on time.
Everything from initial delivery and pick-up went great. The PODS were late due to a transport issue. I was not notified and have yet to be compensated for my lost time and the time of those who were helping me. I submitted an IR and it took almost a month and many more calls before the IR team reached out to me with a passive email and an offer of $100.00 recompense. I've yet to be contacted and spoken to about the issue, as I requested. Otherwise, I would give 5 stars. Karl with a K from Florida was awesome!
Using Pods was so easy. I was selling my house and didn't quite know when escrow would close so I couldn't schedule a mover or truck. Pods was perfect because I could pack almost everything ahead, send it off, and only have a few things to pack in the cars when I was ready to leave the house. Also, the cost of Pods was similar to renting my own Uhaul, and I didn't have to drive a big truck across the country. The whole process was professional, on time, and hassle-free. I would use Pods again if needed.
Frustrating. I liked the convenience of packing things in the POD at my house and having it hauled away for storage. But when I need something, it is virtually impossible to reach them on the phone. Supposedly you can manage your account online, but for most needs that is not true. I want to make an appointment to visit my POD, but after being left on hold for over 20 minutes, I was abruptly disconnected. Tried again, and finally gave up. This is ridiculous.
the driver ran into my vinyl fence backing a truck that clearly was to large for the driveway. Then he used a waiver that I signed for the first time he came to originally drop the same container off and he ripped up my new grass. PODS says that even though the waiver was signed for the grass, they can still use the same waiver for any other damage that happens in the future. DONT SIGN A WAIVER FOR DAMAGE OF ANY SORt!!!.
PODS is the best. Every business should be run this well. The PODS containers have always been clean, the containers are always dropped off and picked up within the time window given, and I have never had any billings issues. The driver Manny Lopez was courteous and professional and took time to place the container where I needed it. The company itself and the drivers that delivery/pickup make moving your stuff so easy.
They are liars and swindlers I made it very clear that I was moving from California to Vermont They gave me a price, they delivered the pods, I filled the pods with my belongings, then after I was charged they told me the price increased by 33 times $600 on the original quote, $20,000 on the second, and that they don't even deliver pods to Vermont They lied to get my money and they refuse to give me a refund
The PODs containing all of my belongings were not delivered to my house as I scheduled due to the driver saying I needed to be home to sign a waiver which I was never told about and no one at customer service including a supervisor could rectify the problem. The driver was completely unprofessional over the phone. Won't use the service again because of this. No problem solving solutions if it's needed!!
Great experience with PODS! Taryn was our driver for delivery and pick-up, and he was awesome for both experiences. During drop-off, he had to deal with a busy street because a local school drop-off was in progress - he was patient, communicated with the school, and handled the situation perfectly. We were very appreciative!! The POD worked great for us for our renovation project.
Love PODs they give you as much time as you need to load, which was very helpful to us. After 36 years in the same house, we had a lot of stuff to load and to get rid of. Will probably do more purging before we load up our new home with too much stuff. Watching the gentlemen off load and load the PODs onto their trucks is absolutely fascinating!
After being gouged on a quote for moving I went with the PODS that saved me thousands of dollars as an option. The savings I used for hired help. The POD was clean and roomy, it was just an easier option overall and the process is quite simple. Its good to now that its not only for moving but also for storage when necessary.
Delivery of POD was great, after that extremely poor service, continually not being truthful regarding delivery, items were very damaged, and setting pod down door end first shifted everything making it almost impossible to open door. It took 3 men 20 minutes to get door open and items shifted down that way were damaged.
We have used PODS three times to move. We had nothing but good experiences with our moving. The container was clean, easy to pack, and totally functional for us. We loved seeing online the steps in the process. We are hoping this is our LAST move. If we had to move again we would use PODS, hands down.
PODS pushed my final delivery 3 times, delaying my final delivery by over a week, at one point telling me it was on its way to my apartment when it ended up forgotten to be delivered and was still at the warehouse. Using PODS cost me thousands of dollars extra in hotel rooms. Do not use PODS.
I needed to store my belongings and have them delivered when I was ready for them. That's what PODS did, and I am very pleased with them. Each and every driver I encountered was friendly, professional and competent. Very pleased with my PODS experience.
The driver did not bother to see if the pod door would open, which it did not!!! He did not answer his phone, when we attempted to call him as he raced away. His mailbox was full. It took pods over thirty minutes to return my call. VERY POOR SERVICE!
It was easy to use the pods website. I did everything from get a quote to pay monthly . It was easy to make a drop off or pick up appt. I would recommend pods to anyone that needs time to move and the ease of having it delivered whenever you want.

OTR Driver Review: Staff was friendly and got me unloaded very quickly. Pull in and park along the fence to the left. When done you will need the local drivers help in stopping traffic so you can back out of the area across the street.
do not call pods. They will hold your belonging hostage with hidden fees. They are rough with your belongings and do not accept responsibility for damage. They don't come when they promise and their employees are nasty and uncaring.
Worst experience ever. Delays and mismanagement of delivery times at every turn. Was quoted at 10-12 transport time and it took a month. Horrible customer service. Slow to respond, still in arbitration weeks later. DONT USE
The 4 quotes I got verbally from phone reps were NOT what I was billed. I was over charged $185. Customer service reps are uninformed of their business. HORRIBLE customer service. I want a refund. I would not refer

All 4 times I dealt with a driver they were professional, experienced, and quick! The whole process was much easier than I thought. Take their advice and tie your stuff down in each section.
