Horrible, horrible service. I was a client of PRL for over 17 years as I just went with the agency my parents used. I’ve always found that my insurance rates were higher than any of my friends despite having a clean record and liability insurance. After decades of patronage my parents realized they could get much more affordable and better coverage through another broker and they left PRL. The owner of PRL, Lori Peterson, sent my mother a scathing email condemning them for leaving. It was in very poor taste and I should’ve taken it as a warning sign then that Lori does not have the skills or demeanor required to be in such a position. In 2017 I purchased a new vehicle and asked PRL to add it and remove my old vehicle effective Aug. 1st. We even confirmed the changes on that day. At no point was I ever notified of any cost increases to my coverage. In October I received documentation from the insurance company, CIG, showing that the requested change had never gone through and I was still covered for a vehicle I no longer owned and not my new vehicle. I immediately contacted PRL and was told the error was on their end and it would be fixed immediately. I was still not advised of any changes to my insurance costs or any charges. In November 2017 I received an automatic withdrawal from CIG Insurance for more than twice what I usually pay. My bank recommended I stop payment as it wasn’t authorized and I did. I contacted PRL to find out why I was being charged so much and was advised that they had backdated the coverage date and DUE TO THEIR ERROR, I would have to pay for the months in which I was actually not covered. I refused and I went back and forth with Lori Peterson for weeks trying to get the issue resolved. Lori Peterson never apologized for the errors her employee made and was extremely rude and demeaning to me. She continuously blamed CIG Insurance for the error although the Insurance Commissioner investigated and found CIG not at fault. I was advised by Lori that I would be sent to collections if I didn’t pay and I was not given any options or explanations. Lori continuously stated that they had notified me of the cost and tried to find me something more affordable and that was an outright lie. I requested proof of her claims many times and was never given any. I was able to connect with the CEO of CIG Insurance and he helped me resolve the issue on his end with many apologies although it was no fault of his company. During this process I filed a complaint with the BBB and in the supporting documents that Lori Peterson filed in her defense she edited out dates to make it appear that her agency was not at fault. I feel like that needs to be repeated. Instead of owning up to a mistake that her agency made and quickly fixing it to keep a longtime customer, Lori Peterson FORGED DOCUMENTS. She was unable to acknowledge what was probably an honest mistake and instead went to appalling lengths to try and cover it up. I would stay far away from PRL. Any errors made by them will be up to the consumer to resolve at their own expense.

Alena is AMAZING!!! I had no idea customer service like this still existed, let alone in insurance. My insurance needs were a bit unique in that they involve airbnb room rental. Most companies have no idea what this entails. She spent time researching and educating me on the options available. Not only did she come up with the insurance that met my needs, the rates were pleasantly surprising. Alena is super fast in responding to both emails and calls and this is after the policies issued. Unlike other insurance brokers/agents/companies who only exhibit excellent customer service to get your business, she continues to provide amazing customer service. I recently aquired a second car and the policy for this new vehicle was put into place with one 10 minute phone call and a proof of insurance was emailed over shortly thereafter. I say stop shopping for insurance yourself. Pamper yourself and contact Alena. She will not disappoint. And, she is just a nice person who is knowledgable and takes away the stress associated with getting adquate policies in place for all your needs. I found her by reviews which compelled me to contribute in the same capacity. I cannot express how happy I am that I found her. Thank you Alena!!!

I have now been with PRL for about 5 years. I wish every business I gave money to treated me the way the ladies at PRL have. They take care of everything for my wife and I. I know without a shadow of a doubt that they have our best interests at heart and they want to make sure we are taken care of, appreciated, and well informed over making a quick buck for themselves. I wish PRL did more things so I could hire them for more services. We have our autos and home through them. We have bought new cars, gotten married, bought and sold houses and PRL has been beside us every step of the way. We will be customers for life. Theresa and all of you at PRL I want to say thank you for all your hard work, and dedication. You make insurance easy, and easy to understand. You make me confident in our decisions and every interaction I have with you. You make me confident in continuing to do business with you. My recommendation to anyone considering choosing PRL, do it. I had heard about PRL Insurance through a business I bought my car from as they insure rental cars from there. I rang them and they were very friendly and helpful and set me up with an immediate appointment. I was looked after by Alena Conte who was very welcoming and made what could be a stressful experience very easy and relaxed! She was so helpful and listened to my specific needs and made sure to find me the best deal for what I needed. She explained everything to me in a way that I could understand and at the end of the meeting I felt very happy and confident in going through PRL. My experience with PRL insurance has been excellent. The positive reviews posted here ring true for me as well, for many of the same reasons. They recently came to my aid when I was dealing with my neighbor’s claim for damage done to our property. I was not getting satisfactory answers or action from the insurance company, so I contacted my broker at PRL. Lori graciously offered to contact the insurance agent and her manager for me, even though the claim had nothing to do with her office. The very next day I started receiving regular updates, and a short time later they sent me a check for the full amount of the bid. PRL went above and beyond their normal scope of work to help me out, and it was greatly appreciated. They are committed to good service for their customers, and I do not hesitate to recommend them.

I have nothing but great experiences with PRL! For our home and auto insurance needs, Kristine has been such a blessing. She is quick to respond and easy to communicate with, detailed and thorough with our policies and super friendly. One time we were on vacation in Hawaii and our rental car got a chip in the window. I frantically emailed Kristine to see what we needed to do and she was quick to respond. She was able to ease our worries with her knowledge of our policy and assured us that we were covered. I worked with Kristine to get some auto and renter's insurance quotes. She replied to calls and emails in a very timely manner, and went above and beyond to answer my questions. Furthermore, when I needed to change the start date on my renter's insurance, she acted quickly to make the adjustment without complaint. PRL has been great to work with, and I highly recommend them. Edit 9/9/19: I recently worked with another employee of PRL (Heather) to update my renter's insurance, and she was fantastic as well. Our son was on the market for his own insurance. As this was his first time, he was discouraged and overwhelmed. When we contacted PRL, Kristine was very responsive and was able to provide him the appropriate information to make a good decision. I don't normally write reviews, but I have to for PRL. Heather and Theresa are amazing and have taken the stress out of dealing with insurance. We just moved back from abroad and bought a house and a car, so we needed several types of insurance. Our situation is rather complicated, at least to me, but they patiently walked me through the process and explained all of my options. And they're great at following up to make sure everything is OK. If all of my suppliers were this professional and responsive, my life would be infinitely easier.

My experience with PRL has been turn key from the start. I have confidence in my coverage spanning rental insurance and auto. Great communication about necessary updates and changes to my policy throughout the years.
