So we are talking about one of the finest cinema theatres in Kalyan. Cinemax is amongst the oldest and arguably one of the premier theatres in the city. The movie-goers certainly find a truly exhilirating experience watching cinema on the silver screen here. Yet all these benefits are eclipsed by some severe shortcomings. Here are a few of them: 1. Lift - there are 2 lifts to enter the theatre located on the 3rd floor, however these are grossly inadequate for the number of visitors the theatre attracts. To make matters worse, there are no operational stairs to reach the entrance. 2. The 3D experience - the 3D glasses offered to spectators seem to be unclean for use of the succeeding batch of movie-goers. 3. The unaffordable popcorn - this is perhaps the most disappointing offering by the theatre. At 250 rupees (yes you read it correct that's 250) Cinemax offers perhaps an almost unaffordable popcorn bucket (the smallest size) in the city. Surprisingly at this price one could easily buy 2 tickets at the same venue or even buy a subway sandwich and a cold drink outside. A real dampener in what could have been a really wonderful movie experience. In a nutshell, Quality never comes cheap, but then it should neither be unaffordable!!!

The staff at the box office are totally unaware about the shows/events in the theatre. They totally lack even basic knowledge about their screenings also. The projection is okay, sound not up to the mark. Very bad for watching 3D here. You would hardly be able to watch clearly if weared 3D glasses. They keep cutouts & posters of flop movies & no cutouts & posters for blockbuster movies. People often asked for taking selfies & get disappointed everytime. No cutouts,posters for Kabali, kaala also. While screening 2.0 teaser special show they delayed 45 min & no apology from the staff. And while asking how much time will take? They replied in very irresponsible manner. Very low knowledge about cinema, don't even know which movies have to be screened and how many shows. They screen actor joseph's movies & themselves have loss knowingly. & they don't screen actor Ajith sir, surya movies who are much bigger than joseph. Screened 5 shows for Sarkar & less shows for Kabali, Kaala. They have now created record of First theatre in Kalyan to screen a 6:15am show. Superstar Rajinikanth's 2.0 6:15am show.

Just about ok movie Theatre, the only one located at Khadakpada, hence it has confirmed patrons. Does cater to the demands of its clients, this is especially confirmed every Friday, when new movies are screened. It suffers one serious issue and that is 'parking' has no provision of adequate parking facilities this becomes a nuisance for local residents, and this has never been addressed by its management thus far. Not a very attractive movie theatre on the whole, but has just enough to serve the purpose of its die hard patrons. Nothing really attractive about this movie theatre, most of shows run an almost empty house, excepting for the days when new movie's are screened, especially those starring big ticket actors. Yes, they do have a low priced ticket day, once a week which obviously is a boon for those who are mindful of ticket prices...

Most humiliating experience yesterday for 8 pm show of veere di wedding. The security randomly humiliating girls specifically for id's n shouting and scolding them in whole public. The news joined security Mr. Brijesh. Was very rude in his talks. Was scolding on us. N on the other side was least bothered for I'd proof of boys or when huge crowd . Seems like he personally humiliated us. Also when complained the same to the deputy maneger Mr. Rahul. He just vanished n did on entertain to the complain. Not at all worth going. Cinimax khadakpada kalyan. Also the customer care representative were just transferring call from one attendent to other. We did not see any action taken against the complain.. these ppl are rude also no hospitality at all

Worse management.... I was watching Anandi Gopal with my family on 01-03-19 at 7:30pm (screen 2) show.....Our seat number was DD12-D15.There were two incidents which happened to me and I am very angry because of that.First thing, when we went to the food counter, the price of popcorn was showing ₹ 190/- on Tv display but we got it at ₹ 200/- on the bill. We have been told that prices have changed. And the second thing, there was so many bed bugs or any other insects which bites me on my shoulder, my back, my stomach and even on my hand. My hand has swelling right now....

Very nice theatre .. we are movie lover .. every week we watch atleast one movie .. it’s annoying every day, today I have come to watch marathi movie gulabjam 7 pm show and it’s already 7.30 but still the movie is not yet started.. too many ads and this is happening every time. They have to understand the importance of time of the audience. We have other things to do also and have to reach home on time also. Please do something regarding this, if not then we have to change the theatre.

PVR Kalyan..(previously known as Cinemax) located in heart of kalyan west i.e. Khadakpada, Decent place.. 15mins from Kalyan station by auto rickshaw. Sharing auto rickshaw is available from railway station till khadakpada chowk, then 3 minutes walk to theatre.. Ticket price are reasonable.. [ Thank God.. ;) ] There are only two screens Screen 1 (around 250 seats) Screen 2 (around 100 seats) Food is ok ok.. Sitting could be better... Over all it's affordable place to watch a movie..!!

If you want rats all over your seat and filthy seats even if you get a recliner . Go here and waste your money on the worst multiplex in the whole of thane. It'll not only ruin your cinematic experience but also ruin your mood for the next few weeks with the traumatizing environment of the cinema. The food counters dont work even if you have staff members in rush hours. To describe my experience in this Cinema in one word, " filthy " would be my choice. The staff was shambolic.

Movie supposed to start at 10:30 PM but started around 10:55 PM.They were showing ads and trailers for 25 minutes. They should start movie at 10:30 PM only when it is written show time is 10:30 PM, if they want to show ads and trailers then start showing it around 10:15 PM. We go to watch just movies and not ads and trailers.This is true for intermission as well, intermission should be not more than 10 minutes.This is being a trend from so many days and needs to be changed.

Prior to being PVR it was Cinemax. The renovation is still on. The screens are okayish. Some seats have been replaced with new ones but aren't that comfortable. The theatre has no parking facility. Ticket prices are economical on the pocket. Not too many shows are this multiplex has only three screens out of which one is quite small. Perfect if you wanna watch movies in Kalyan at affordable rates. Much better and safer than Inox and SM5 just have a visit here

If you have not booked your ticket online, then you should visit early as at the booking counter, 1 window is closed normally. When i was booking my ticket online on PVR app, they were charging 63 rs extra as taxes on a ticket of 534 rs. ( this 63 rs was not charged when i booked from counter). The show timing was 5:40 PM, the movie started at 6 PM. There were showing all advertisement for 20 mins. Even in interval the advertisement went for almost 20 mins.

Located in Khadakpada area, this PVR is one of the best multiplex to watch movies in Kalyan. They have 2 screens of which one has less seats and one is having good number of seats. Lobby area, seats, sound system everything is good in Cinemax Kalyan. Only bad part is they start movie late from show time due to lots of adds and in interval break also they show lots of adds. It irritates a common person to have so much of adds in between movie

You guys have no control over ur audi. Horrible audience. Several times i made a complaint but no action was taken. Only few guards came and stood next to us. But then the uncivilized audience continued yelling, shouting and screaming for no reason. Kalyan Cinemax now which is so called PVR, is not for people like us. Its for people who doesnt have a good well being and manners. Anyway PVR ur niche segment of kalyan is gone.

1) There are only 2 screens. Thus frequency of show is less than other threatres, and also sometimes at odd times (for college students and working people especially). 2) Ads are really lengthy. Ads take up fpr almost 30-45mins and due to that, sometimes, a song is skipped from movie or that type (Both in Kesari and Good Newwz movie, I have noticed this). 3) The snacks are I think bit more expensive than usual.

Nice ambience..... Gud hygiene..... The only thing is the screens are not big like INOX..... I felt some issues with loudspeakers as sometimes the voice was nt clearly audible..... Lastly..... The eatable price is too high to ever purchase...... Means 70 bucks for two thin samosas, 200 for popcorns...... Is just as if it's in Mars...... As ppl wud hardly purchase any eateries..... Not variety of eateries

yesterday went for 10:15pm showtime movie-Kalyan,but because of some reason show started by 10:40 pm.Thats fine its adjustble but I was really got upset with Long series of advertisements during interval which wasted my valuable time.2 hours 40 minutes movie extended to 4 hours thats really unprofessional.Thumbs up for PVR ambience and Quality but Service very disappointing.Kindly pay attention. Staff very rude , parking costly upto rs 80 between 3 to 4 hrs , we bought Cadbury's chocolate for my kid from outside . They did not Even allow chocolate for my kid . No healthy food available inside . Also mineral water that they provide of there own brand is worst than even tap water . I doubt it's mineral water , some one should check it. It was painful experience to watch movie there .

-ve: Too far from Kalyan station. Rickshaws refuse to ply there below Rs. 60. Already multiplex fares are high, 100 Rs. for just popcorn and Rs.120 for two-way transit by auto. No good hangouts nearby. +ve: Movie experience is not bad for a duplex (2 screens only :P). Only worth if you are staying nearby. No need waste money here if you are not staying within 2-3 kms radius.

Good place good staff and seating arrangement is good... This place is near by khadakpada. From kalyan station you can get sharing rickshaws to khadakpada for just 13 rupees. After get off at khadakpada walk just 15 and you will reach cinemax.. Cinemax price is also cheaper than others. This place is very clean and always get rickshaws from here to khadakpada station.

We were 4people with one 4yr old child so i had reserved 4seats online,but at the entrance security didnt allow me as i didnt get the tkt for my child...I went down again to get one more tkt from counter but the whole movie my child was on my lap sleeping. So i request you atleast minimum age limit should be 5yrs.I wasted my money & also shared my seat with my child.

Movie theatre is fine but had been for hitchki movie during which more than half of the time the sound system was working on a very low volume due to which audio was just about audible it was like hearing it on TV while watching in theatre. Staff was slow to accept the issue and correct the same. Have seen other movies here which were fine hence the 3 star rating

good but the seats have become old now..rather go to sm5 or inox there was this peculiar smell coming out of the seat i had booked..probably of the sweat. colling was good but felt it at stronger side after interval. They should definitely change their seats oratleast wash them, maintenence should be proper at places which represent some famous names

Only 2 screens. No punctuality. No proper Waiting area. Had to stand for 15 mins or so. People sometimes bother you with surveys. Paid parking in the adjacent building. 3D glasses have scratches on them. All 3D glasses not cleaned properly and not maintained properly. Theatres are usually empty. Mostly English movies dubbed in hindi are shown here.

I have been here for most of the movies. Staff is very good and screens are also good. 3D movie quality is also good. Good sound quality. Seats are pretty comfortable especially the recliners in screen 1 they are super comfortable. Only problem is that they never release any English movie in English language it is always released in Hindi dubbed.

very good place to watch movie.we feel very comfortable watching movies here.The guy sitting at ticket counter named prashant has no sence to talk with the customer.although the food counter staff is good a guy named khalid is very helpful type he always suggest us a reasonable combo and also provide good taste in food and also well hospitality.

The theatre is ok ok, if you choose to purchase popcorn the same will cost Rs 250 for a smallest tub and the come will be Rs 220 also if you purchase a Red Bull the same shall cost Rs 140 inspite of the MRP whatever it is... Sugesstion have a heavy lunch dinner before you go bcaz u pay more on food than a movie ticket..,, …

Worst movie watching experience ever! The projection kept getting disturbed and kept showing blank screen almost 5 times during the entire movie. Ultimately they audience had to shout and make them stop the movie. I wont recommend this place if you want to watch a movie without any technical interruptions. Say no to PVR/ Cinemax Kalyan.

Just average. Main reason behind visiting this place because it's just 10 min away from my home. Nothing great about cinemax kalyan. They shows 1 hour ads during movie. Half hour before starting the movie and half hour at interval. Wasting customers time. Movie always starts late than fixed schedule. At least half hour late. Worst.

I visited to watch hitchki and it was in screen 2. Though its a small screen it was maintained well and except like other comments i did not face any audio trouble or absence of Air conditioning. Yeah the intervel is too long. They show a lot of ads and trailers.. it would be good of the management look into this matter

Well It's a nice multiplex. Cannot be said to be the best in Business still a nice place to spend ones leisure. Don't expect much to eat here. Screens are of good size, seats are good, a bit crampy though. There is scope of improvement in the lounge area. Been here a couple of times. Happy with the overall experience.

After the end of the movie it's good we came out from the entrance gate and we used lift to get down being a senior citizen very difficult to climb down stairs after a show.You should think about such audience and consider providing suitable facility and spare them the difficulties of climbing stairs of three floors.

The shopping mall is not yet started there but the cine Max cinema theatres are very active and we can watch all language movies like Hindi, English, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil etc. Good and average comfortable seats in normal theatre. But the recliner theater (screen6) is more than comfortable.. and lovely.

The reason why I gave only two star is cost of food is exorbitant. They are simply looting the patrons. Drinking water is charged at 60₹ and the one which is kept publicly is kept hidden at a corner so that people are forced to buy the packaged drinking water. Simple Popcorn cost around 160₹, open loot.

Nice place for movie buddha but sadly not good for handicapped person. Handicapped person can entry in hall, but once show is over life are not available to anyone and you dont have any other choice than to go through staircase.Prices of food and coldrinks are exorbitantly high.its much more than MRP.

Movie time is 1 pm and they just show you ads for another 25-30 mins. you got to be kidding me, we come to theatre just to enjoy break free experience and you are spoiling first 30 mins with some boring ads. Anyways it's just a suggestion you can ignore, that's my last time in this theatre thanks

Very poor punctuality, no proper management, we had paytm tickets, the box office said no need to collect tickets from there & then when we went to cinema hall, they resent us to box office. Very long interval. Worst experience. Given 1 star as there is no provision for zero or minus one star :(

worst experience in cinemax kalyan they play ads and trailers more then the movie hygine is ok but if you wanna eat or drink something prices ar at the heights. they charge Rs.90 for 2 samosas and Rs. 170 for a worst pizza. and they dont even have the parking facility overall worst experience

Irregular in starting movies. 1 hour delay and then lots of advertisements in interval, approx 30-40 mins. Seats behind entry point has high wall which obstructs 10% of bottom screen. Good thing was that manager offered elevation by giving us cushion, but made seat very uncomfortable.

I went to watch Pati Patni aur Woh with my wife today. My experience was not so good as the seats which I booked were broken and the response of the staff when I mentioned about the same was rude. I don't recommend anyone to visit this theater as the quality has drastically gone down.

Cinema Hall was ok ok, but u need big screen to experience a good movie so I request PVR to work on screen rather than making big hall and ambience. Screen though was small but it needs more improvement as screen looks dim. it feels just like watch a piracy movie in Ur moblie phone

It is a twin screen cinema house, screening all genre of movies. Parking is available outside on the road. Basement parking is available in the adjacent building premises. It is a single structure building,having reliance fresh store on the ground floor and a fine dining place too.

I must say this place has not improved with time. First of all there are only 2 screens and the 2nd one is small the audio quality of the cinema is poor. It's the only place nearby so most people go here but they have a poor experience. I mean they should improve a little bit.

Nice multiplex. One must visit with family , friends , Gf. Food was quite good. Parking is available. For rs. 10. Seats were good. Sound quality and screening is also good. Only seats cannot move back so that you cannot more relax. But it is decent enough. Nice theater.

If you are in uniform or something ..then avoid this theatre as this guys have something like dress code ..oversmarts lol. A normal guy takes out time from his schedule to watch movie ..buying tickets of 150 bucks and should also listen to this authorities dress code.

Ambiance is good but food items are too expensive. Indian law has already passed judgement that no multiplex can stop audience from carrying outside eatables. But the multiplex manager asked security person to stop us from carrying outside eatables in the multiplex.

PVR kalyan is a better place to be but the first time staff is not as much professional, Not perfect knowledge about e ticketing and Parking is at a bit different place, and Parking maintenance and staff is kind rude , "park their no responsibility "20 Rupya lagega"

The projector machine stopped in the middle of the movie and show was cancelled. This was during the Sairat movie screening on 30thApril16. It happened previously also during NIRAJA. At once it was best theatre in Kalyan west , but lost its charm for no reason :(

Latest experience was terrible. A couple started fight with other guys and manager came in rescue disturbing the whole scene. And later they forwarded then rewind then forwarded some scenes. It was not enough background noise added more to annoyance.

Basement parking available but people don't bother to park there, they prefer parking on road and create traffic jams. Theatre is decent, food is expensive. Too many advertisements before and during interval, a 2.30hrs movie effectively ends in 4hrs.

Projector problems. Many a times the movie is stopped. Lights are kept on for sometimes for no reason. Ac is switched on very later. Expensive food. Many good movies are not screened due to less screens. Crowd is not good. But really economic!

Now there is cleanliness inside the theatre. But any show still start late by 10 15 mins. Cost is usually high of any movie during first week. In second week it's price get reduce by 10 or 15%. Morning show between 9am to 10am having low cost

Nice place to watch movies at reasonable rates as compared to other multiplexes in Kalyan. Even the food rates have come down. But after a few months the food prices have shot up again and even expensive than before. So I changed my review.

Went to watch gully boy but the sound killed the entire song experience, something definitely wrong with the audio in screen 1,paid 267 per ticket and this is what we get, pepsi was dead flat and the staff had no clue why! Very bad

Situated in heart of kalyan city Khadakpada. Nice place to watch and spend quality time. Crowd is good i.e. family type. Ample parking space and lots of Food abd shopping option available after or before watching movie.

There are only two screens and both are very well maintained. I have seen over a dozen movies at this theater and was never disappointed with the management. Only thing to improve is the sound quality which is average.

Only 2 screens are there and the 2nd screen is pretty small. Most of the movies are played here but not all. Since there is no other theatre around, this one becomes helpful. There is lot of scope for improvement!

Even after court ruling, out side food not allowed and will be confiscated. If you want to have it back you have walk to ground floor and climb up again. This is helping their employees earn some extra food.

Food is expensive. It seems pirates are behind the counters. Rude staff. Even though outside food was allowed by Maharashtra Govt, they confiscated few chocolates and bottle of water. The security was rude.

This is a nice movie hall for people living around Khadakpada kalyan. Good to book online to avoid disappointment as all new movies are played here. The snacks are costly. Free drinking water available.

Ambience is nice although screen can be made a little more bright. I mean at the corners of the screen it has really dark shadows or something. Rest assured you can chill here with friends or family

Good Time frequency for almost all Movies..! The only thing I disliked was the size of Screen 2.! Its way to small.! Don't prefer to watch in Screen 2 if you are hoping to have a good movie time..!

Easily noticable, parking is also present for two wheelers and four wheeler can be parked at side of road. Only 2 screens are there in cinemax, one is good but thr other is comparatively small.

One of the affordable theatre in Kalyan. Great screen, nice ambience, comfortable seating, nice sound quality. Among three movie theatres of Kalyan, this os the best for a 3D movie experience.

I like this place because it has cheapest rates on Tuesday but when it comes to cinema hall that is small picture and sound quality is good but 150-200 rupees is not worth in small cinema hall

Well maintained accept the recliners as they had all those spill patches on the seat and sticky holders witch was not at all and a pretty decent theater but the food prices are way too high.

It is a theater with 4 screens . Good experience and one should not book the tickets on 1st-day 1st show it is very costly. Wait for 2-4 days them rates becomes pretty reasonable here.

The seats are stained and smelly. There is water dripping from the roof. The seat are broken and shake. This place is not worth it and overpriced for the penny service they give.

It is good palce to hang out with family and friends. It's in the residential area of khadakpada kalyan. So easy to reach. You will get auto or ride after late night shows also.

Recently I came across this theatre. I didn't know there is PVR in Kalyan. We watched Romeo Akbar Walter movie here & ate my favourite caramel cheese popcorn.

There very few multiplex in kalyan.. but this was decent enough. Good to go with ur family. The crowd is good. Parking not available though.. so ya..4 stars

Volume was very low... So much for the horror movie.... It would have made a great difference if volume was a bit up... Other than that quality was awesome
