I am a true Paddington local who has lived and worked here all my life. I, along with my family have known Richard the pharmacist since he took over from Mr Madden. Richard is extremely intelligent , patient , and very very knowledgeable.My family and I entrust Richard with many ailments therefore do not require to wait in a doctor’s surgery for ages. Richard gave both my husbands and my flu vaccine yesterday and I cannot believe how gentle he was. I honestly did not feel anything. He definitely has a super soft touch with the needle. My husband also felt the same. Richard is more like our family GP as well as our friend who has known my children since preschool age. Richard has also signed numerous documents for us such as passport photos and more as he is also a registered JP. He also has wonderful staff . Vanessa the Clarins specialist is an asset to the pharmacy. Very kind, and helpful. Delsey the naturopath expert is also a kind and reassuring person who REALLY REALLY knows her vitamins. Great friendly staff who are well loved by all the Paddington locals. Paddington Compounding Pharmacy is a real asset to the community. SIX STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently purchased a compounding formula which was prescribed by my dermatologist. Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience with the pharmacist who filled the prescription. Despite this being my first time using this specific medication, the pharmacist neglected to explain how to properly use the container. Specifically, there was a special lid which needed to be opened and pressed from below in order to dispense the correct amount of cream, and to avoid exposure to air which can cause the formula to oxidize. This is basic information that any competent pharmacist should explain to a patient. Additionally, the pharmacist instructed me to keep the formula in the fridge, but the next day it was crystallized. I consulted with my dermatologist who suggested that the formula had gone off. Overall, this was a very poor customer experience and I would not recommend this pharmacy.

Lack of professionalism. Advertised opening hours of 8.30am on Sunday. I arrived at both 8.30am and 9.48am (!) and the pharmacy remained unopened. Spoke to one of the staff members outside who was polite and friendly, albeit waiting for her boss in the cold. She told me the active Pharmacist on duty, Richard Choi, was “stuck in traffic” on what appeared to me to be a very lazy Sunday morning. Unfortunately for me, I had a less lazy Sunday morning with an international flight to catch so was unable to pick up some essentials. I would recommend Pharmacists Advice up the street (toward Bondi) if you are looking for good community service.

Have been a customer of Paddington Compounding Pharmacy for nearly 10 years I keep going back mainly because Richard & his team treat my family like we are family to them… the chemists Richard, Matthew & Jeremy are both knowledgeable and have terrific bedside manners and always take the time to explain rather than provide you with a medication just to make a sale. I’m sure you could save by going to a chemist warehouse but not by much the personal service outweighs the few cents. Keep up the great work guys Kevin & Christine

I’ve been going to this pharmacy for more than 15 years. Richard and his team are knowledgeable and helpful. Yesterday I went in due to a specific concern and Richard and his co-pharmacist Adam immediately identified that the problem was that I had been taking a particular medication but not the vitamin supplement that the specialist had said I had to use in conjunction. I also received a brief but useful explanation about the how and why of it all that I was grateful for. Highly recommend.

This is without question this best pharmacy in Sydney. Richard Chooi and his team of pharmacists are experts in their field and couldn’t be more helpful, friendly and professional. The pharmacy assistants are knowledgeable about their extensive range of products and are always willing and able to assist. I feel very fortunate to have Paddington Compounding Pharmacy as my local chemist!

Great pharmacy, took excellent care of me when I went in to fill a prescription. Because I was awaiting a confirmation PCR test for Covid, they served me from outside while I sat on the bench seat, a lovely lady picked out supplements for me, and it all went seamlessly. In the past I’ve had flu and covid vaccinations there as well and they are always fabulous. Highly recommend.

Have been going here for years. Richard is part of the community! I had trouble filling a prescription for a special infant formula my son needed due to an intolerance due to a short supply. After waiting weeks and weeks, I was beside myself and Rhian called around and found supply for me. Since then they always have the stock ready for me which is so reassuring. Thank you!

Without doubt the best Pharmacy in Sydney. It's family owned and they care about every single patient. I love the free home delivery and the willingness of Richard and all the staff to help out whatever you need. I also love all the photos of the celebs that have been in to see Richard! Just bought something here for $12.99 that costs $8.99 in Blooms Marrickville. Unfortunately, when you need something from a chemist, you often don't have time to shop around - but how in earth can anyone justify this? I highly recommend anywhere but this place.
