"Stopped by this morning to buy sweet bread for my dad who is at KU Hospital"
"3 stars because you bake very delicious pastries and cakes and after this I will still continue to recommend you but I’m disappointed with your service"
"Bruh, really"
"All year round traditional sweet bread and pastries are top notch"
"I live in AZ and had to arrange a funeral in KCMO"
Stopped by this morning to buy sweet bread for my dad who is at KU Hospital. As a first-time visitor, don't be overwhelmed by the crowded shop--there is an amazing selection of enticing sweet breads. I grew up in a Mexican-American/Anglo house that was more middle class Anglo, but I recall the amazing sweet breads that my abuela always had at family gatherings. These baked goods are every bit as good as the ones from my memory. Great to know that there are some Mexican style bakeries in the Midwest--unfortunately none close to me, but this will be a stop next time I'm in Kansas City!
3 stars because you bake very delicious pastries and cakes and after this I will still continue to recommend you but I’m disappointed with your service. I ordered by phone because I live in Olathe and I had a family member pick up the cake. When my sister came to my house I saw the cake and it was not what I ordered. Either way my sister wasn’t charged for the cake and neither was I so I say thank you for the free birthday cake for my one year olds birthday. So if you order something make sure when you pick up or someone else picks up it’s exactly what you ordered!
Bruh, really....I got a rosca to share with my partner and their family and it was literally so sad. It was dry, hard, stale, the toppings were literally falling off or nonexistent. I'm not gonna lie, im really bummed. This is my first dia de los Reyes without my family because they are all in a different state and tbh this one just hurt. I wanted to keep this tradition going out here and share it with the people I care for but it was just really disappointing.
All year round traditional sweet bread and pastries are top notch. The seasonal treats for every Hispanic traditional date are fantastic and the taste is unbelievable, truly authentic taste! Rosca de reyes in January and Pan de muerto in November are a most. All year round conchas, orejas, manetcadas are my personal favorites, you cannot go wrong with anything you pick. Bolillos for your tortas and pambazos are also not to be missed. Cakes are great too!!
I live in AZ and had to arrange a funeral in KCMO. I made a large order of sweet bread over the phone for the reception and they advised me that they we on top of it. Well they had them done when they said they were going to be done. They were fresh and very delicious. Wish I could have brought some back with me to AZ. Thank you for everything!
The cashier was so nice. I brought a Crossaint filled with Bavarian creme for $1.99. So I handed the cashier $2.00. Then she said it was $2 with tax. I was fumbling for change in my purse. The cashier said it's OK. Then handed me the bag. This small gesture showed me that she has good character. The crossaint was delicious.
Wow, just wow. The Tres Leche cake. Not just possibly or probably but, definitely the most amazing cake I have ever tasted. Brilliant bakery! I don't think that there was a single person at the party that didn't agree that the cake was made from magic. Certainly worth every penny. Thank you.
If I’m ever in the area, I make sure to stop by for some treats. Great variety, super friendly and hardworking employees, great prices, big portions, etc. You get so much more for your money here, made fresh, and feels great to be supporting local business. Definitely recommend!
did not have a good experience her I'm visiting KS and I went there because of the reviews but I was disapointed the employee that assisted me was grabbing the bread without gloves and they didn't have a good variety either the place was so small you could barely walk in there
Love the sweets here. Authentic. Fresh. Delicious. Every time we visit we have top notch service. The place is small, but that's because it's just a bakery and not a cafe; so if you come don't expect to be able to sit around and enjoy your items there.
Just picked up a Rosca de Reyes for the family's celebration of the Epiphany -- excellent cake and still warm. Just out of the oven taste! Great price too. I highly recommend this Mexican bakery and will be back soon! Mucho gracias! Feliz Fiesta!
Delicious bread at an incredibly fair price! It's not always the freshest but it's well worth the visit. Very good variety and they even make cakes. Haven't gotten the cake yet but they look yummy. Sometimes they have a smaller selection, I
Great little panaderia off SWblvd. Careful, everything looks beautiful and tastes just as it should...homemade. Once you take a bite it will. either bring back memories or make you feel like you're still there in Latin America.
I just ordered a cake for my son’s birthday. The cake was amazing. Great quality and great size. The cake was gone in minutes. Everyone loved the cake. I got the tres leches cake with strawberry filling. Best cake ever.
First time, but not my last time visiting this little bakery. Finally found my wife the Tres Leches cake she’s been craving. If someone left a bad review, I really think the reviewer is the problem, not the business.
This tiny bakery smells like heaven! Pound cake here is a classic and must have. I had very high expectations on their tres leches - turns out it’s very dry (pretty disappointing). I hope that was one-off day
Bought several cookies and muffins to last for the week. Definitely filling. I was disappointed by the options, but grateful there is a Mexican bakery in the KC area. Gracias!
We went here for pan dulce, but never got to try the goods. We came by twice about two hours apart with the same answer both times, "the pan will be ready in about an hour."
The store was so cluttered. Did not look like the store in the photos. Visiting KC wanted some pan Dulce very disappointed. Gave 2 stars for the size of bread won’t go back
Small little place that sells delicious goodies! Got my son's birthday cake from here. They were the only ones open on Thanksgiving Day! Glad I checked them out!
Tiny little bakery, that greets you with wonderful aromas as you walk in. We each got a different pan dulce. They were all beautiful and very tasty.
Wonderful place! I love the cozy neighborhood feel. The staff is super helpful and wonderfully friendly. Great choices and super reasonable prices!
Rather pricey but when it’s the only bakery on the MO side for a 10-15 mi. radius, you’re gonna pay the price for that pan your mama wanted
Lived in southern cali for several years a long time ago this is the only authentic panaderia I’ve found since moving home I like it allot
On the go bakery, now if we can just convince them to get a decent coffee machine I would be in haven. Lovely people, great product.
Me recomendaron mucho este lugar y fue toda una decepción !! Fui a comprar una rosca de reyes y estaba muy salada …
Pan muy rico pero cuando uno llama para apartar bolillo No contestan ni regresan la llamada eso es mal servicio.
Fresh and delicious even in the middle of the day. Smelled heavenly. Absolutely will return, worth the drive.
Lovely place. It’s a tiny store packed with delicious looking breads. Grab a strawberry roll if they are out!
Not cheap $1.41 per piece and extremely dry pan. Maybe it was old. Not much flavor either. Disappointed
Nutella muffin was delicious!!!!! Very reasonably priced and tons of traditional Mexican baked goods.
Great variety. Excellent service and super affordable prices. What else could someone ask for?
The bakery is fantastic. The decorations are fun. If you are visiting, great place to stop at.
Always delicious, always fresh. and great prices, do yourself a favor and try these pastries!!
60 cents for some pan dulce. I’m going to stop by every time i drive down Southwest Blvd.
AUTHENTIC MEXICAN bakery! You must try it! Doesn’t matter what you try, just try it!
A local favorite of mine with its friendly service and variety of fresh pan dulce.
Love this place! Great tres leches cake and they are open until midnight!
The tres leches cakes are amazing! One of the best I've had in Missouri!
This place is good but owner is suck, I had a request but got denied.
Delicious tres leches cake, and the place smells like a dream.
Tres leches and pan dulce are excellent. Best bakery around.
Sweet little bakery with lots of choices and great prices.
Amazing breads selection top to bottom Highly recommended

Delicious and affordable with friendly service (:
It was OK, we liked a different bakery better
