Recently visited for the first time to shop for aquarium equipment and anyone who says this place is amazing either has extremely low expectations or has never been anywhere else. This is by far the worst aquarium shop I've ever been to (and I've been to most of them). Firstly, the shop is in a deplorable condition - the outside is run down and ugly. The tiled floor inside is literally worn out. The whole place is cluttered and disorganised. The staff are disinterested and totally ignored me while I was there despite it being a mid week afternoon and there only being one other customer. Secondly, the aquarium floor is shocking. The tanks look like they were built 30+ years ago and nothing was ever replaced, fixed or upgraded. The tanks are worn, old, scratched and dusty. There is no substrate or plants in any of the tanks, just sad, worn out tanks full of water and a few fish. The aquarium products are scattered across a strange mix of industrial racking and ancient shelving and nothing that I looked at was clearly marked with a price. The products that they do carry are incomplete and most of the basic ranges anyone would need, are not available (eg not a single LED aquarium light - all I could find was a dusty old box of fluorescents). There are very few tanks and almost none of the basics such as substrate, chemicals etc. Also I didn't see any plants. My general impression was that the rest of the livestock in the store was being well looked after, but that's really the only good thing I can say about this place. I'll definitely never be back that's for sure and I won't encourage anyone else to make the drive there.

We visited a large pet shop that boasts a wide variety of pet products. Our main purpose was to purchase some tropical fish, and while they did offer a decent selection to choose from, I couldn't help but notice that their prices were quite high compared to my local pet shops in the Helderberg area. Nevertheless, we received assistance from two very friendly and knowledgeable gentlemen. I also had the opportunity to hold an adorable dumbo rat. I observed that the rodent cages were impeccably clean with fresh food and water. There were rats, hamsters, and a few bunnies visible, and though I didn't have a chance to explore the bird section, I could hear the cheerful chirping of birds downstairs. I'm giving this establishment three stars primarily because I encountered one lady who exhibited a rude and condescending attitude. Effective communication can be achieved without resorting to sarcasm, and it would be advisable for her to consider a more respectful approach. I won't mention her name, but I believe some adjustment in attitude may be in order. On a positive note, the cashier was exceptionally friendly, and I'd like to express my gratitude for that. Overall, this store is worth a visit if you're in the area and in need of pet food, toys, or even a new pet.

Has covid not taught us enough about how we must look after our business's? It's like people don't care about customers at all or their jobs for that matter! When asked for assistance, the on girl wearing classes and short dark hair,took a deep sigh like it was very hard to assist. What a horrible experience!!!! Once I was down stairs, I enquired about a product from upstairs, I was told they do not hold any info downstairs! Absolutely ridiculous! No extra mile! No one offered to call upstairs or run upstairs to perhaps assist? I mean am standing downstairs with plants and a 90 litre tank. Plus it was so hot in the store it was unbearable, imagine how the poor animals must feel!!! I am in the retail business and I am very passionate about customer service. Maybe you should be too, life is tuff out there no jobs and business's closing continuesly!

Never supporting this place ever again. Went here to get a cockatiel. Firstly, 5 tiels are kept in the same tiny cage together. They live in flocks, but not in overcrowded cages. Dowel perches are used, terrible for their feet. They are fed a pure seed diet and dirty water with feather and feces floating inside. Tiels were screaming and fighting eachother. I chose my one because it was so frightened. He also had a untreated but healed broken toe. I was also told by two staff members that I would never be able to tame my Tiel and that it wasn't worth it, that I should just get a baby. It took me a week to fully tame him. Was told he needs to eat seeds and to give sunflower seeds as treats. All unsafe and deadly. Will not be supporting this place again. Staff lack general knowledge and education. Company lacks care for animals.

Friendly, effecient, knowledgeable staff. Good selection of pets (excluding, understandably, dogs, cats, etc.on the premises), depending on what you're looking for. We bought our Corn Snake there & a special word of thanks to Corné (I hope I spelt her name correctly). As first time snake owners, she made the experience so less stressful & a lot welcoming! She is SO knowledgeable about (not just) reptiles!! A wealth of knowledge, and friendly disposition, wonderful personality & very direct & honest, qualities very rare to find in a person. I will highly recommend the shop for your next pet selection! Be sure to ask for Corné when you're there!

A++ Experience. This was my first time going there. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Also quite knowledgeable. There's a wide selection of goods (especially for birds) and a lovely selection of birds/parrots for sale. I'm most impressed with the shop as well as their service. The lady and oompie working in the birds section were friendly and helpful. And handled the birds with care. I will defn be returning and will recommend them to friends and family. I managed to get all my cage necessities and 2 beautiful budgies. Keep up the good work Panorama Pet Shop!

Very friendly staff. I had a lovely chat with Albertus about the hand-reared African Grey chicks. I spent a lot of time with the Greys and were able to put my hands into the cage to feed them and touch them, which was a fantastic experience for a prospective parrot owner like myself (who hasn’t had many opportunities to experience parrots in person). They stock a massive variety of smaller birds, even as unusual as Harlequin Quails. Lovely rage of cages and food at much more reasonable prices (when compared to Pet World, for example).

Wide variety of products, prices are decent and the livestock looks to be well taken care of. Floor assistants are extremely eager to help which is great but can be a little annoying after a while. For the 15 minutes I was there I was approached 6 times and asked if I needed help or was already assisted. Cashiers/Tellers aren't friendly. They don't even greet when you enter or when you are paying for your items. Needless to say, I will come around again when I'm in the area. They stock items other pet shops don't usually have.

I do not really visit here often and when I do there is not usually time to just browse around the shop and seldom go upstairs where there is a large variety of goods and pets. Downstairs however is mostly focused on birds and bird feed and is always well stocked. It is not always as neat as it could be but bird seed and large Parrot cages do not really lend themselves to compact storage, and space is limited. In general you will find what you need and have a good shopping experience.

A tremendous pet shop with so much more . Feed for all types of animals - birds , rabbits poultry , dogs , cats, fish , tortoises , horses . Then there are the pets for sale . Plenty of them . Also cages , accessories and toys . Very important to remember - this shop keeps all types of animal and bird medicine The staff are super friendly and ready to help.They even offer to make up different mixtures of feed in what ever quantities you require !

Let me assure you that you will look far to get the same service at any pet shop in the Cape Peninsula. The owners and staff are professional and skilled. I recently had a problem with my canister filter which I purchased from them a couple months ago. I returned the canister filter which was under guarantee and the owner send it back to the agents. After a couple of days the owner contacted me to collect my new canister filter!!!!

This pet store has basically everything one would need for one's bird [Got my two budgies from here as well]. The staff are extremely helpful, I was able to find exactly what I needed, and I was able to get the two budgies that I wanted with ease. I will say that the bird cages might need a bit of an upgrade though as it does look battery farm-ish, but otherwise it is a clean and fully stocked store for all your pet needs.

Great pet shop with a very large variety of bird food and bird feeders. You can even by birds here.Tropical fishes and fish food. Fish tanks pumps and fish tank accessories. Dog and cat food as well as toys for your home pets. Snakes and rabbits and many more. Definitely a place to visit. Fully stocked pet store, even open during these lockdown times (limited hours). Friendly and helpful staff/service from talking over the phone to being in store. Fast and efficient to get what you need and go, they even had someone to load the very heavy bags of dog food to my car. We will definitely be using them as our dog food supplier going forward. Third time I'm going there ... great selection of product, but unfortunately still no customer service.... I was hoping to get some advice on my fish pond's water quality... and which product would be the best to use... but the staff members could not be bothered less....too busy chatting to one another... :-( Will not go back there to get ignored again...

We adopted 2 lovebirds, and had to invest in a suitable cage, food, accessories and toys. Found EVERYTHING we needed under one roof, at the right price, and brilliant service. What we appreciated most about this business is that the owner was IN his business, servicing clients on the sales floor. Absolutely hands-on managed.

Absolute awesome service from the owner. She makes the best rat/hamster did compared to what I was buying. And always willing to help get sick in that she does not usually carry. The staff at the title section are all awesome as well. Love this shop and the quality of the animals and the prices are really amazing as well ❤️

As far as petshops go, it is one of the better ones. However: Please ensure that rodents and rabbits are separated by gender; please stop using sawdust in your hamster tanks (it is bad for their lungs); please educate customers that hamsters should be kept in separate cages as they will fight to death if kept together.

Too crowded on the weekends and COVID-19 safely is not taken seriously. Some staff do not wear their make correctly and leave their noses out of the mask. I hope that their COVID-19 compliance officer reminds everyone that social distancing and correct mask use are essential to keep their customers and staff safe

I visit with my grandpa often and i always go upstairs to the fish, their fish are always healthy and staff are very friendly and helpful, they always have new species I've never seen before, they recently started stocking anubias and they are super healthy compared to the big retail stores 10/10 would recommend

This petshop always have a big variety on birds, fish and reptiles including to all types of food and accessories you would need for your pets. The staff is knowledgable and they make you feel at home right when you walk in. If you are a pet owner, this would be your one stop shop for all your pet's needs.

Helpful and friendly staff! Always go there if I need any pet supplies or if I have any questions! Pets (birds, fish and a hamster) bought from them are all extremely healthy and easy to keep happy as long as you follow instructions given by staff! Prices and variety are very reasonable as well!

I was expecting a seedy dusty old petshop with similar people shuffling around to see to your order, but welcome to a pleasant surprise! They don't have a garish shopfront but the staff are very professional,they cover all your requirements and you can buy in bulk quantities at very low prices

This place has really changed over the years.... and NOT for the better unfortunately. Not assistance was offered as I was wanting to purchase some fish. The two ladies working there were just talking to each other and not once asked if I needed any assistance. I will not be back there again.

I was in the area and popped in to buy some parrot food for my rescues parrots. I had no idea this place had captive bred parrots for sale. Terrified parrots stuck in cages. Flapping around. Why are you still supporting the parrot breeding trade? Will never support this place again.

Lots of fish, some unusual tropicals and some marines as well. Well worth a visit for the aquarist! Also the best collection of birds and bird related products that I have seen as well as reptiles and small animals. Livestock is well cared for and the staff are very knowledgeable.

Great petshop, seems to have an extensive selection of bird food and livestock (I have no experience with birds!). Great supply of aquarium hardware. Fish livestock is variable they sometimes have the most amazing fish and sometimes just bog standard stock. Always worth a visit.

The lady upstairs assisting me with what I needed, knew what I was looking for. She offered me a product that works. I wanted a product to keep my fish pond clean and lessen the algae. It worked. I have a clean and clear pond. Her product advice was excellent.

Their prices are good.. but some of the birds they sell are sick.. i bought a few birds from them, the one has been touch and go since we got her, and the other one has an abnormal growth on his nose.. think they should take better care of their animals !!

Great choice, lots of bird stuff (including single grain bags to mix your own food) , lots of fish equipment. Not a very large range of aquarium bulbs but nice range heating solutions.

This is a big pet store. Stocking most products for all animals. Including snakes which I dislike. They do however have very friendly staff. There bird foods are very well priced.
