Pantoja Park is a charming oasis in downtown San Diego, around the corner from the state superior and federal courts, which provides a pleasant respite from the concrete. It surrounded and enclosed on several sides by condos and office buildings. Dogs are allowed, but they are supposed to be on a leash. Owners and their dogs often meet at noon and at 5 to let their dogs play together off leash, but during the day the police sometimes walk through and issue citations. Some of the homeless sleep overnight, moving along in the morning and it was the location of a horrible incident a few years ago when someone set a homeless person on fire (he's since been convicted).

I love this park. I go almost every Saturday morning to sit outside and read. It’s secluded, rarely busy. A great quality during COVID. It isn’t far from a Ralph’s, so it’s a great spot to grab some lunch and picnic in the park. It’s full of giant fig trees, lots of dogs. There’s a place called Brickyard right around the corner. They have great food and coffee. I always stop their for my Saturday morning coffee before I head to the park. The Embarcadero is nearby and has amazing views, but this place is a bit more secret and special.

The park is beautiful. The first time I went I didn't notice certain things I saw the second time. Like the workout area with a body weight exercise machine, a stretch station, pull-up station. The designated pet are is hella Kool too. The dogs have their own equipment as well. It's a very much needed calm and relaxing place to hang out.

Beautiful park with huge magnolia trees. Bench seating. Walking path.within marina condominiums. Popular with families and soccer players.nice place to chill.homeless people present.Beware metered parking aggressively enforced. No free parking on G street or market street.

  • Patrick Mulvey

A quiet quaint park in the middle of Downtown San Diego. One of the very many parks in the downtown part of San Diego with quietness and birds chirping. A locals spot as to the "off the grid" location.

  • Jeremy Kahan

If you are looking for a natural getaway in downtown this place is great. Super quiet, lush grass, very old established trees, and an overall relaxed ambiance. Definitely worth checking out!

Is a very nice place with San Diego skyline as wallpaper!! Small park right in the heart of the city. It has the statue of Benito Juarez, Mexican president. (15 January 1858 – 18 July 1872)

  • Mark M.

Cute, picturesque park on the harbor. These parks that dot the downtown San Diego coastline are always like a breath of fresh air to me in contrast to the bustling city that surrounds them.

  • Fred Schmitz

Great space for frisbee or kicking a ball around, lots of dog walkers and most do a decent job of picking up, but watch your step. A public bathroom is needed here!

A great and peaceful park in the middle of downtown San Diego. It's so secluded that I never knew that the park existed and I've been visiting downtown San Diego for nearly 17 years.

Este parque me da mucha tranquilidad Y es curioso por que un presidente de México se encuentra en medio del centro de San Diego Una zona tranquila y excelente para caminar

  • Mike Sauceda

A great park to celebrate the best president of Mexico, Benito Juarez. Big trees and a few benches makes this place a great little park to visit.

  • Martin C

Used to come here on breaks from work. Hidden gem. Sneaky good for photography (I had my headshots done here). Right next to the trolley stop.

  • Jim Van Matre

Great little park in the heart of the city. Not filled with homeless. A lot of people use it as an off leash dog park even though its not.

  • Matt Schwuchow

Small but nice. A few benches. Nice spot to let's dogs run. Leash required but never crowded I'd you're a law breaker like me

  • Juan Bernal

Intimate in it's design, yet beautifully open as a space to relax at a picnic or to let the four-legged friends stretch out.

  • Annie May D.

A good spot to roll around in the grass with your honey. Just watch out for the bums that hang out there all day and night.
