This branch is very bad. The pizza was shambles. It looked like someone droped it and still packed it. The cheese was missing on half the pizza. They didnt put stuffed crust even tho i paid £3 extra each pizza for stuffed crust. Then they didnt answer my phone. Was about to go to the store for a refund but my family stopped me incase i go prison over a margarita. Ordered online on a Monday so it's not like they were super busy. Will never order from papa johns again in my life. Absolutely rubbish staff who have no care of customer service. Management should look into this before u lose all your customers.

Papa Johns the Works Pizza

Ordered two pizzas, both hand no tomato sauce, base was tough and tasteless. After much discussion and stock standard answers the Upminster Papa Johns employee promised two free pizzas next time. Called up a week later to order the promised replacement pizzas, yet again after much discussion they finally agreed to what was promised. The new pizzas were just as bad. We love Papa Jons but not the Upminster store - if your a fan of pizza - don't bother with this store. Its awful. Romford store is way better or any other Papa jons in the area

Really disappointed, we have ordered from other papa johns but this one is the worst, previously they delivered large pizzas with ingredients only in the middle, did not want to order from them again but I did, and again I was disappointed with the service, won’t go into detail, but the brand is good it is only the service at the Upminster branch that really disappoints, money hungry, franchise buying people with no love for product. Just look at the other reviews.

Absolutely disgusting customer service pizza arrived late and cold when I phone up to complain they told me there's nothing they are willing to do about it the manager was rude arrogant and disrespectful, i even sent papa johns an email to complain and there response was the manager said I was lying so there's nothing they will do absolutely shocking customer service I wouldn't give them another penny of my money ever again I'd rather starve! AVOID AVIOD AVOID!!!

The Manager is a disgrace, I've never ever experienced bad customer service in my life. We ordered a large pizza, there were barely any toppings (basically cheese/tomato) so I phoned to complain. Store offered a free pizza at a later date, phoned to order the free pizza but the Manager refused and said we can only order a cheese/tomato medium pizza and have to collect, very rude and arrogant and I will not be using them again purely because of this.

I waited about an hour for my pizza although the estimated time was 30 to 40 minutes. The delivery guy was polite and friendly. The pizzas were hot, tasty and not soggy or damp like pizzas I've had before from other places. I'd recommend looking at the deals on Papa John's website before just picking up the phone.

This branch is a joke. They process the same order for the same address under the same name because of a mistake they made, trying to charge me twice. The manager is rude, was swearing and hung up the phone on us, the delivery driver did the exact same thing. I have never been so disgusted by customer service received. They even threatened me with the police! For the sake of your sanity, i would avoid this place at all costs.

Disgusting treatment and service worst pizza company ever, place order 2 hours ahead for a 7.15pm delivery, 7.45 they finally answer after 20 attempts to get through to be told order cancelled, a 2 hour wait time, no refund of monies so manager of Upminster papa john needs to be trained in how to deal with customers and run a business, hate to think what there pizza would be like with this level of service,

I have never ordered papa johns before but only ever heard good things so we thought why not! DO NOT BOTHER the food was awful. We ordered hot buffalo wings and they were horrible and soggy and no hot sauce at all! The pizza consisted of pretty much dough only. We also had some cheese bites which were totally undercooked! We spent £45 and I feel like I have been totally mugged off!

1 star is too good for this, a complete and utter joke. On no less than 3 occasions in the past 4 months pizzas have taken over 2 hours to be delivered. They don't even answer the phones, either they hang up on you, or they just let them ring for 5 minutes. Papa John's should be doing more to protect their brand from disgraceful franchisees like this. Avoid like the plague!

Ordered 3 pizzas- 2 were fine and nice but on the last they completely missed the instructions. When we called up, they said we couldn't get a refund or a new pizza unless we waited for 1hr and 30mins because their staff were off (despite it being 9.30 and it closes at 11), so we could get a discount for next time. Next time, I'll save my time and go to Dominos.

If I could give a lower star rating I would! Still waiting over an hour and half for our food! Tried calling the store to find out what's going on and for 10 minutes all I had was the papa johns voice recording! Dreading what our food wi be like when it arrives! Avoid this branch!

Dreadful customer service. Pizza in itself is fine but the customer service is shocking. They pretend food is dispatched when it's clearly not and if you chase it they are likely to hang up. There are many better places in upminster for this kind of food.

First time we have ordered from papa johns and the last nearly 2 hours and are order was still not here when we rung the shop the customer service was dreadful the manager was useless all we wanted was our money back but they couldn't even help with that so now it's gone to head office poor poor service

In the past week or month a new guy started working there with long black hair who is a very nice guy, very polite, very welcoming and honestly gives you the service of a restaurant in papa johns. Food was nice and hot.

Tried to get a refund for a badly made pizza but staff were rude to me and told me the pizza was fine so no refund??? So much for the customer being right. A shame because I've had good pizza from them before but after this will never buy from them again and will advise others not to aswell!

An hour wait and then get told that if I’m not happy then send it back. Jokers!! Service has gone down hill massively. Busy or not, you seriously need to manage customer expectations and with some manners
