Thumbs down for Dr. Marko. Took over 2 hours to remove a tooth. Went through a week of agony because he failed to prescribe antibiotics when he knew I had a pre-existing infection. Three months later I'm still dealing with shards of tooth/bone coming to the surface. See photo. New dentist said he should have taken an xray to make sure everything was removed. Also, overheard the receptionists bragging about selling clients on root canals because it makes the clinic more money. If you care about your teeth and recovery time, steer clear of this place. Update: I just noticed the response posted by the clinic. Utterly untrue. I was in the chair for over two hours. My husband was in the waiting room waiting and had to leave to top up the parking payment. I was in immense pain when I arrived. He told me himself that I had an infection and repeatedly advised me to get a root canal in both the tooth in question as well as the one beside it. It was like the doctor was taking it out on me for not going for the more expensive procedure. I understand that some extractions can be difficult but, in total, I had 6 large shards of tooth come to the surface after the extraction. My gums are a mess. Totally unacceptable. It took forever to heal. It was a barbaric and unprofessional extraction and no antibiotics were prescribed. I ended up with a serious infection that cost me a total of 3 weeks off work. After speaking with a lawyer I was advised that suing a dentist is like pulling teeth, pardon the pun, because of their iron clad disclaimers. They can basically do whatever they want to you at your own risk. I strongly advise that you choose your dentist wisely. And do some research on the long term effects of root canals. PS: My appt was at 11:15 AM, as noted on my calendar, and there was absolutely no x-rays taken after the procedure whatsoever. Obviously if he had taken an x-ray afterwards, I like to think he would have removed the large shards that he missed.

I had appointment today at 1 pm and i was there 5 mins before my schedule and waited for almost half an hour and the dentist and the assistant didn’t know that I’m already there so I did wait for nothing. In addition, the assistant was very rough using the tube kinda suction that the gum was cut and it’s hurting now. And also the dentist didn’t even ask me which one I need for fillings because the one that bothers me is not the one he did. I even told to the dental hygienist that I’m having sensitivity in the back of my teeth and she told me that she will let the dentist know but I guess not because it’s seems like the dentist didn’t know about it and charge me for a specific exam that cost $95 in which he should when I got full exam the last time. I wish you guys ask your patient first to what they need first because I don’t feel that I need to get 4 fillings for a teeth that doesn’t bother me at all that cost more than a $1000. But not the teeth that needs to be done so badly. Now i used up half of my insurance, so by the time they will fixed the tooth that needs fixing I have already used most of my insurance for this year. I dunno i want to come back to honest. In respond: Yeah I understand if you guys are busy but there was only me and other client That time and theres no excuses at all for your receptionist not noticing me When she was the one who told me to have a seat while she and a other lady talking in the Front desk. And this wasnt the first time, it happen again when i did my cleaning and had appointment to see the dentist right after my cleaning. I waited more than half an hour and i even ask the Front desk and ask whats taking too long and after half an hour or so the doctor came to get me and said that the suction machine wasnt working or some sort. So everytime i have appointment there was always an apology happening. The only thing i want now is to cancel any of my appointment. Thank you.

Was referred by a family member (cousin) to Dr. Rose Filipchuk for an emergency situation and although it is 2 hours away from my home she came highly recommended as i have a pretty serious dentist phobia and anxiety. Let me just say that she went over and beyond in making me feel as calm as possible. I even had a telephone conversation with her personally prior to my visit. I was almost certain that i would have to be "put out" for the procedure due to my phobia but she made cerain that laughing gas and numbing gel and freezing needles made me calm enough to do the procedure. I cannot thank her enough for keeping me calm and talking me through the whole procedure. She was extremely knowledgeable and very professional and i knew i was in good hands. Although this was an emergency situation and 2 hours away from my home i would not hesitate to make the drive again to have her as my regular and future dentist (providing i wasnt too much work for her due to my anxiety..lol) Dr. Filipchuk if your reading this I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for your calm and gentle nature. You truly are a kind and caring person.

Previous owner was bad he did 2 root canals to me very expensive and I got infection on them. So I went to see what was wrong and if so to fix it. The new owner to avoid to fix the damage that her doctor found and told me that they didn’t do good root canal. She called me to book appointment to have a look. I thought she was okay and went. She heart my teeth so much with her tool and had the infection plus the damage she did. Then she put the tool down and started yelling at me that I went to blackmail her. I told her all I asked was if it was there responsibility to fix it or not. 3 years later still they send me emails and texts . Thank god went to another dentist and they didn’t find bone loose like she was telling me . Only bad terrible root canals . Stay away from that place bad job and overpriced!!!

The dentist is not one of my favorite things to do, and I will prolong my appointments as long as possible. This clinic was recommended to me by a friend. I have been treated by Dr. Rand Alhafidh for the past three visits. She has impressed me with her attention to detail and care. It is the first time I have visited a dentist that I have enjoyed and I will look forward to returning. My treatment by Dr. Rand Alhafidh was conducted with care and with as mild pain as possible. In my opinion, it was the most pleasant experience a dentist can provide. It was as painless as possible and she was very efficient with her time during my appointment. I look forward to my next visit to see Dr. Rand Alhafidh.

A great clinic that was recommended by a friend. Initially, Dr. Hamandi helped me outline the issue that I had with a root canal and crown (RCT gone wrong). Also Dr. Rand helped during an urgent severe swelling that I had due to an infection in the root canal. She first prescribed me the necessary medicine and referred me to a root canal specialist, who helped me make an informed decision (either redo the root canal or extract it). I decided to extract it and Dr. Rand again came to the rescue, she removed it very smoothly and calmly in less than a minute. Thank you Dr. Rand and Dr. Hamandi! Also thanks to the wonderful Team at the clinic, notably Ms. Meni!

Awful place. they add so many extra things to the work without even consulting. my wife was scheduled for simple cleaning. They end up calling my insurance company and figured out that we have coverage for so many things. They did every thing that was covered under insurance and also ended up charging me. Very unethical in terms of their profession and the way they do their business. I personally have dental issues. I have dealt with so many dental places.Never felt cheated like this. My wife took time from her busy schedule to go for cleaning. But ended up waiting 1 hour for the cleaning. avoid this unprofessional place..very disappointing.

At first I was happy to get this dentist but then I became highly disappointed. They were supposed to extract a tooth but then decided not to. I asked the dentistif you leave a tooth with a cavity will it not spread. He said no it wouldn't! Which I now know is a complete and utter lie. And it did cause spreading and an infection. One of the older receptionists is extremely rude. I would not suggest or refer anyone to this clinic. dentists are supposed to be in the business of saving your teeth not creating problems and making you lose your teeth or get infections!

I needed a root canal, I was really nervous and didn't want to get it done as I have some dental anxiety. It was recommended to me to see Dr. Rand S. Alhafidh. I made an appointment. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and Dr. Rand S. Alhafidh was amazing! She had the freezing in before I even knew what was happening and I didn't feel a thing, she was very knowledgeable, and great at calming my anxiety. The root canal went great, and I didn't feel a thing! I will be going to Papefinch Dental again.

Dr. Filipchuk is a good listener. She always takes her time to explain the patient's condition and to offer suggested solutions. I have confident in her to address my dental needs. In addition, I went to Dr. Filipchuk's Finch/Warden clinic for the last 15+ years. Since she is no longer working in the Finch/Warden location, I would rather take a longer route to go to her clinic in the Pape/Danforth area. A trustworthy dentist is not easy to find!!

I've been coming here for many years and satisfied. But last week my small filling which cost me 420 dollars because I needed a "post" and I had done about 16 months ago broke. Now I need it fixed again. It's sharp and have developed a painfully canker. You could not pay me to see this dentist again. Or go to the place he works.

It's the first time to get dental treatment here for both myself and my son. The Doctor and the staff were very nice and knowledgeable. My son was nervous about the pain on the way there, but after finished he told me that he didn't feel any pain at all during the whole process. They are professional!!! Highly recommend!!!

I’ve started the procedure for an implant and although I was very scared everyone helped me calm down. Meni the receptionist is a sweet heart, the girls very nice and very polite and Dr Rand just awesome!!!! If you don’t have a dentist yet don’t even think about it… she is the one!!!!

Highly recommend. I have been seeing Dr. Filipchuk for at least 25 years and she is excellent! Recently I have also been seeing Dr. Rand for Invisalign and have had excellent care from her too. Finally seeing Meni every time I arrive is like seeing an old friend. She is awesome.
