..09/25/2023..Took my wife and kiddos here to celebrating our 31yrs anniversary. Ms. Bailey was our server and the manager in charge name is Ernie Pẽna. The restaurant has a situation next to my table and quite frankly we were a little scare, but Ernie de-escalated the situation a pro. Because of his handling and there were nothing happen at the restaurant or any of us within the situation table. A few minutes later, Ernie took his time to my table and making sure we are ok and enjoying our foods. I really think if Ernie didn’t handle well, things can get pretty ugly quick. I would like to thanks Ernie and recognized his handle things so everyone can enjoying their foods and in a safe environment. **** 08/02/2023 My family and I have dine here almost 29yrs. Pappasito’s is the only place we come for beef fajitas, other grills, yummy desserts and drinks. On this day, my server was a young man named “Hunter” and he was an excellent server w/ an awesome attitude. Hunter was prompt from beginning to the end. Make our dine in experience w/ lots of like. Malik / restaurant manager was also great leader on this shift. I can see Malik was like a music conductor (but on the restaurant’s floor) to make sure his customers are enjoying their time here. If this restaurant location have many of “Hunter” & “Malik” then I would dine here every day . Thx you Hunter and Malik for your serving us and we are looking forward to our next meal here soon.

Went there tonight for an earlyish dinner, a party of 6, 3 of which were kids. We were seated right away. The restaurant is spacious with a fun vintage Mexican atmosphere. We ordered the queso fundido appetizer because we saw it on the sign on the way in and it didn't disappoint. We all loved it! Melty white cheese, poblanos, Sautéed onions, and big chunks of mushrooms - yum! And the flour tortillas were excellent! The kids all got packs of crayons and big folding activity sheets with kid menus. Very good portions and prices for kid meals. My daughter thought the sauce on her food was too spicy to eat and the staff were so helpful to get her something she'd eat. Staff was so friendly and the service was very fast! I ordered Texas redfish on the halfshell and the fish was amazing! Some of the best tasting/cooked/seasoned fish I've ever had. So tender and flavorful, I didn't even need the salsa or pico de Gallo it came with. We all really enjoyed it and I'd gladly come back next time I'm in Austin

THIS WAS BEFORE: First time in a long time...4 generations... I have a large family, but, this is my Mommie, my 2 daughters, and my grandbaby. I haven't been able to come home for a visit in a long time. My family dinner here was OUTSTANDING! The staff and food, atmosphere, our overall experience is a MUST next time I come home! If you don't try it here, you're missing out! AS OF TODAY.... went Sunday to lunch with my 75 year old mother, my sister. The "hostess" (& that was rhetorical) Korrina?(as she says... with a K)... she needs to be in the back with that ugly attitude... mom didn't want to be seated in the walkway, your "hostess" suddenly lost her smile, proceeds to show us the seating chart... I'm a business owner, not a hostess, my sister, is a wedding professional, mom is a cancer patient... we don't want to see the seating chart, we want better seats... Additionally, when we thanked her when we left, she was out right rude, and wouldn't even acknowledge us... everyone else, was far better!

Fantastic food, although this time around my fiance got the bacon wrapped shrimp and the beacon was flaccid. It came out hanging on a metal hook, which was fun for tableside, but not the best idea for hot food. It was swinging in the air, while the waiter made his way to our table. Rather than being in the hot Skillet and continuing to cook, it was already cooled by the time it made our way to the table. The waiter also brought our check at the end of the night and it was around $75. My fiance handed his card to him, The waiter went to swipe, and when he came back the new total represented on our bill for a signature was around $98. We had to live with two charges for the next few days until a manager could get the incorrect amount removed. With that said, Margaritas are outstanding, the best chicken taquitos you will find, and the cheese enchilada blew me away.

We went online and made reservations a month in advance. We were told we couldn't reserve the party rm w/o details. So we reserved 2 table for 10 people each table. Once we got there we waited about 1 hr because people were still eating. "Yes we had reservations" Then we were seated at a round table seating 13 then the remaining party members has to sit separate from our party at 2 small square tables. Then I told the server to put 10 people on my ticket and the remaining will pay there own. Of course he screwed it up giving everyone their own ticket which may have hurt his tip. However, I tip him very well for his time as I understand 19 orders can be a little pressure especially working alone. Since I don't normally eat that kind of food no one complain so I guess the food was OK. Bad experience especially celebrating an adult BD. I guess next time we'll have to choose a bid more classy restaurant. Management was zero help in fact part of the problem.

We came here basis our friends recommendations. Did not disappoint. Was told that vegetarians would find it difficult because of limited options and that was partly true. This place is heaven for meat lovers. The food was excellent and drinks served were on the stronger side (which is a good or a bad thing based on perspectives). The desserts were on point! Absolutely delighted with their tres leches cake. The Dulce du leche pecan pie came good too. The one odd thing that I found was that this place stops taking guests in after 9 PM and last call for food is also around the same time. Maybe a little too early but that’s just me. Pricing is good and the portion sizes are huge which makes it reasonable. The decor is colourful and has a laidback vibe to it. Classic cantina. Worth a visit if you are around the area.

The food is the best. I'm not a big fan of Mexican food, but their food here is fantastic. The fajita plate was the BEST fajita I had ever tried before. And the lamb chops too. Cons: Their salsa was not good, not flavor, watery, and too spicy when we asked for mild. The tables are too close to each other. You can barely walk in between them. It's a pricy place. I paid more than $40 for my plate, 3 little pieces of lamb.

Oh. My. God. This was highly recommend from a friend from Texas and might have been one of my top 5 favorite meals I've ever had. Malik might have been the most vibrant and noticable manager I've seen, he never stopped moving, was so friendly, gave us a free app for our first time visiting, and made our visit great. Jazmin was also incredible. We all got the house margarita and the fajitas which changed my life. I'm sad just thinking about not being able to frequent here as we were visiting from out of state. Just go! Ps. Get a reservation!

My husband and I had dinner here. This was our first time at Papasito's. Our waiter, Gavin, was great. I had the beef fajitas jalisco style and had the La Fresa margarita. The fajitas were tender, flavorful, and so delicious. My drink was very good as well. I had flour tortillas with my meal, and they reminded me of my mom's. My husband had the Reynosa. He said the chicken was very flavorful. He enjoyed his meal. For dessert, we had tres leches. I am not usually a fan of this dessert, but it was good. We will return here again. Highly recommend!

Sam was our server. She made a fantastic recommendation for the platter with shrimp brochette, beef fajitas, and a quail. Oh my delicious! Take the staff recommendations and enjoy a great meal! The tortillas are made in house and are warm, pliable and the perfect medium for transferring the food from platter to mouth. All of the staff were friendly. The atmosphere was a little loud when we first arrived but as we were at the end of the dinner rush it got a lot quieter. Would highly recommend this as a place for great spot for Tex Mex!

Our first experience at Pappasito’s was AMAZING! Came for late lunch and the service given by Juliana and her coworkers was absolutely top tier! The manager came and had a short conversation with us which is always nice. The food is all hand made in house and was so so good!! I’m a picky eater and I loved everything! Great food and drinks. Our waitress was awesome, attentive, and never waited on a refill( huge for my hubby, so I always think about it). The food was amazing. The fajita steak was soooo tender and great flavor. My salad was amazing, and the watermelon margaritas were yummy and refreshing. The Guacamole they used to make table side and they didn't here. That was a bummer but it was good. The rice and beans needed a little more were to plain. It's also $20-40 a person to eat. So, it's just pricey.

Easy parking. Nice vibe when you walk in. Very friendly and knowledgable waitstaff. The menu was excellent and diverse. You can see we had several different plates. The fajitas shrimp, beef, chicken were all amazing. UNFORTUNATELY for me I had a chicken burrito. Pretty bad and I felt foolish for ordering it and having nice expectations. It lacked flavor and worse yet was it was barely above room temperature. NO I did not send it back as we were in a large party and everyone had gotten there food, my bad. But not as bad as the burrito. Not what I expected from this highly referred restaurant.

We visited this Fantastic restaurant in July; the place is like a spanish house, with beautiful decoration and great music. Inside, we meet Mrs. Aydeh; she was making fresh tortillas and talked to us about the process with the machine to make it. When you get the fresh tortillas at your table, you know where they came from. The food was delicious. I ordered the mix fajitas, great portion of food, and the services was fast and perfect. This restaurant is simply the best! When we arrived for our reservation for 9 family members they were ready and waiting on us. I explained to the manager how excited I was to be back at this Pappasito's because we had driven all the way from Tennessee just to eat here. God bless her, she comped our appetizers! Ethan was our server and he was the best. The drinks were spot on, the food was cooked to perfection and so tasty and the chips and salsa never ran out. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful gathering time for our family. We had not been together for over a year due to Covid and it was a real treat ❤

The best tex mex around! The tender steak fajitas with fresh, warm home made tortillas are an absolute God send, and our server Daisy did a fabulous job. It was thrilling to be here with local news cameras to see Pappasitos was celebrating 40 years of serving excellent food to this community, that says allot. Never again. I was late To a reservation. I had 2 beers. The server was so busy that it took 2 hours for me to get 2 beers. When I decided to go to the bar the manager cut me off, because the group I was with was there before me. That was so embarrassing. The manager should have asked the server first instead of making that decision. Never again. I was charged for 3 beers that’s how long it took me to get my 3rd. It’s okay, he was busy I was having a good time discussing work and catching up, but that was so embarrassing.

I absolutely love the food here! And my favorite is redfish on the half shell. You must call ahead to make sure they have it before you go. I also suggest the hatch enchiladas! However, the hatch dishes are seasonal. Their bacon wrapped shrimp is truly a dish from the gods. You can’t help but love the fajitas, they are very well seasoned and yummy. The grilled vegetables are unbelievably delicious. Of course the chips and salsa is complementary and truly delicious. The staff there is amazing! My favorite drink is the craft sampler. You won’t regret it.

You just can’t beat Pappasito’s quality and service. We stopped here to get my son some great Mexican food before he left for his new duty station in the northwest. He got nachos, I got fajitas, and both hit the spot. Service was amazing and prompt. Our server even hooked us up with free queso when she found out my son was shipping out and our drinks never emptied. Great experience.

First time diners. Created reservations the day before. Arrived 15 mins early. Were greeted by friendly staff and promptly seated. Very attentive waitress and servers. Waitress answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable. Everything we experienced was a solid 10. Fajitas medium well , Prime rib steaks cooked to perfection. All the hot food was hot and the fresh guacamole and pico de gallo was impressive. We will be back with more family next time. Giving thanks to the Pappasito staff for a wonderful first time experience!

I had not been here in years and had forgotten how good the food is. We ended up coming in on a Sunday evening and back for lunch on Monday. Good chips and salsa and great beef flour tacos! Plenty of parking. The only bad thing was they only used half of the available seating during Monday lunch, but we didn't have to wait too long for seating.

This place was super busy, and they opted to have a stand at the round tables by the bar while we waited then proceeded to take our order and deliver food. Phenomenal Tex-Mex food. Ever since I've moved to Austin, I've been searching for a solid Mexican restaurant and I think this is it. The beef Fajitas were good, very flavorful. They were also cooked perfectly and they were very tender. However, the salsa was sub par with very little spice. The cheese enchiladas are hands down my favorite in town. The chicken flautas are second. Great margaritas as well. We finally tried the beef fajitas and brochette shrimp and they were delicious! Crispy beef tacos might be my new fav now! Seasonal molten chocolate cake, it’s a must!

Came for a friends birthday, it was my first time and everything was amazing! The food was flavorful and the portions were generous, everything on the plate was soooo good except for the rice, that was one of the worst “mexican” rices i’ve ever had, otherwise everything was perfect!

Good spot, decent service. There were a few mistakes from the staff such as never getting a drink I ordered. I asked to cancel when I was done with my food. Food was delicious. It's a bit priceyier than others. Nice rustic atmosphere.

Came here for my brother's birthday, delicious food and great service. Our wait wasn't too long and when we were sat, our waitress came right away. We had a great time, salsa was so good, but the chips were too salty. There was a Mariachi singing around the restaurant! We enjoy coming her and will be back.

When we arrived there was a 40 minute wait for a regular table. So we found 2 seats at the end of the bar. Right away we got service. It was a bit crowded but everyone was friendly. Our bartender Kerry was efficient and super engaging! Ribs had a spicy and smoky flavor. Prices are on high side. More

Adrian was our server and he was awesome. He provided an amazing experience and when our steak was slightly over cooked he was so nice and fixed the problem quickly and made sure we were happy. Love the food and the service is beyond great!! :)

It's gonna be a long one, but please read to the end. I visited this exact location on 9-21-22. I was in Austin for a convention honoring mentally challenged individuals. I was entertaining one such individual. The wait staff was amazing!
