A great spot to take a walk and enjoy the views, from a scenic waterfall with suspension bridges above to a view of the St. Laurent. There are nice boardwalks and lookout points. Cost: There is a fee for access per person ($8.50) and a fee for parking. If you would like to take the cable car there is an additional cost - this is strongly recommended if you want to see the full site but you would prefer not to walk down and/or up the 487 stairs. Some additional activities are available for an additional cost including zip lining and a guided ropes course. Note that the wait for the zip line can get long (1 hr+) especially on busy days. Access: A public bus comes from Quebec City regularly. If you are driving you can save money on parking by street parking in the town and walking over.

Pretty with the fall colors from the top and the mansion house was cute and decorated for the holidays. We started at the bottom and went up the precarious looking steps toward the falls. The bottom has some pretty serious construction going on and is kind of bare at this time. I know they say it’s as big as Niagara - maybe they mean in vertical height because not in terms of overall magnitude/ width/ water falling. Worth a visit on the way to / elsewhere like Ile d’Orleans but don’t design your whole trip /day around it. I thought Chutes de la Chaudiere waterfall nearby - other side of St Lawrence river was prettier with nicer walking.
Wonderful place to spend some time if you're visiting Quebec city. There are about 3 entry points. There is a parking available at the top and bottom of the zipline car stations. There is an entry from the other side of falls, but there was no parking available so we had to park on street, but it is a residential area so you can find one easily. Entry fee is $8.50 per adult. If you're by car and using their parking, there will be about $4 per car. Zipline car is a good experience to take amazing view of the falls. You can walk close to the falls on trails at the bottom. We loved our day here.
Just be aware they are doing some construction and likely seasonal closures so the cable car and train were closed week of dec 4 and the path/stairs to upper part is closed, but you can go right to upper part and park up there, just search for Stationnement du parc des chutes Montmorency (it's a 7 minute drive from the lower part). Still worth checking out the lower part for a different perspective. Beautiful scenery here and cool to walk the suspension bridge.

If you like waterfalls, then you shouldn't miss this place if you are near quebec. The place is well organised and there are enough parking places. It's a huge waterfall and you can have a look from the bottom and the top of the waterfall. The waterfall is higher than the Niagara Falls. There is also a via ferrata if you want to use the stairs. The place is around 15 minutes away from Québec City you can combine visiting the city and the waterfall.
If you go to Montmorency waterfall you can also take a tram up and down to see another angle of huge and beautiful waterfall. The day my friends and I went, it wasn't crowded at all. We took round trip because we parked the car on the top of mountain. At the ground level, station has cafeteria, restroom, souvenir store and zip lines if you want more adventure!

Beautiful falls near Quebec city. Now a toll booth is created on the road that leads to falls parking. Tickets to parking and entering the building is now sold at that booth. Gondola rides are on for now that leads to the falls top bridge and closes at 5 pm. The stairs are restricted entry currently and on my trip I could not climb the wooden stairs that leads to the top Falls view bridge. The COVID-19 restrictions are in practice.
Very nice falls but not comparable to Niagara Falls. Too expensive though. We enjoyed the walking around the falls, the cable car and the suspension bridge. Nice atmosphere Overall. The cable car is not well designed for wheelchairs even though it is accessible, and their staff were quite nice, except for some few of them who were not quite helpful with wheelchair handling.

The falls are quiet beautiful. We wanted to do the zip line but it was closed. The cable car ride up and down was the best part. There is a lot of construction going on around at the falls bottom, so it was not that beautiful. We couldn't get near to the falls because of that and you can't appreciate it from the bridge across the fall, although the view is spectacular. I'd go back again to see it someday in its full beauty.
First time visiting this place. The view is amazing, the entrance is cheap as well as the parking and there's rock climbing if you guys are interested in that. I would of done it if it wasn't for time we got there 1h before closing. The only real downside is the climb back up, but the scenery make it worth the effort. Fun family friendly place to visit.
Lovely walk to, over and down the side of the waterfall (taller that Niagra). Shame the zip-line wasn't open. Could go up and down the cable car as often as you liked. Lovely gift shop in the main house. Just across the bridge from Ile d'Orlean which is beautiful.

A scenic area just a short drive east from Quebec City. There is cable car going to the top of the fall. The fall is magnificent. There is a ladder by the side of the fall for you to climb all the way up without riding the cable car. A fee is charged for parking and admission to the park. It is around $11 plus taxes. There is discount for seniors.
Choose your entrance... We parked at the bottom and didn't know you can park at the top. It's a LONG climb on 450+ steep stairs to get to the top... Or you can take the cable car for extra fee. The falls have a walkway right above the edge so you can look down from the top of the straight down at water dropping down. Awesome.
We arrived on a bus tour and didn't have the time needed to take the lift or walk the over 500 steps to the upper viewing deck. I would have definitely done the zipline had I arrived by my own transportation

Highly recommend that you include this visit on a trip to Quebec City. The cable car ride is cool and the views are breathtaking. If you can have lunch at the top of the falls, nice terasse and a good kid friendly menu. Bring your own water/Gatorade if you wanna save a few bucks!
a must-see place when you visit Quebec! the view from the suspension bridge is magnificent! sugges parking your car on the bottom and take the cable car up the mountain. worth what you pay

Gorgeous falls. Best time to see them is in the spring I think cause the last time I saw them in the summer there wasn't as much water. The ride up in the cable car and the walk down the side of the hill is a great experience.

If you are going to Montreal 100 % you should go there and take cable car there is wonderful land scape for take a picture nice view for having break fast or dinner the prices are reasonable you need 4 or 5 hours to stay there relaxing also big parking available
A must for nature lovers. Lovely grounds, quiet, peaceful. Remarkable path ways. The stairs are a must. So gratifying to to get closer to the falls, then hauling your way back up. The whole place is yours on week days; weekends, well that's an other story.
Spectacular but there is construction in the platforms to the zip line and they are very unstable. The zip line wait was a long time, Some people said it was 2 hours. There was no wait for the cable car.

It's a very nice park with a breathtaking view on the waterfall. I took off a star because of the construction there which ruins a bit the impression, also one of the main viewpoints was closed. Worth visiting anyways! Especially when it's not too hot.
The glass on the windows in the lifts were pretty dirty, it would be nice if they cleaned them more frequently so u could take a more clear photo while on the lift.

It was ok. I wouldn't go back. Once was enough. On most of websites it looks like you can only get to the top by the chute/cable car, when you can actually drive to the top. The suspension bridge over the falls is neat but that's pretty much it.
Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is an absolute marvel that should be on the top of every traveler's list when visiting Quebec City. From the moment you set foot in this enchanting park, you are welcomed by the sheer power and beauty of
Have to try the Via Ferreta they offer. Awesome guides provide an unforgettable experience. There are many other things to explore in the park including the falls, the orchard, the trail up the river and the stairs down the falls.
Out of season you were able to see it but no facilities are open and many areas blocked off. Impressive water flow during spring water melt.

I was here in winter, but summer is really nice. The color and everything is really amazing. I recomend this. You can arrive early and bring your picnic to enjoy eith your family, is a long walk is you love walk.
A must pace in Quebec City! We rode the Gondola to go up but there is a stairwell that takes u up to the suspension bridge. So, if u have enough time, I would recommend taking the stairs and doing Zipline. More
Lots of stairs, but nice views throughout. I would advise to not go during the hottest part of the day in the middle of summer as going up and down the stairs can be challenging even for relatively fit people.
Very beautiful!!! If you visit you must take the cable car to the top. The falls are absolutely wonderful. The park is fantastic. It was very clean. The was a lot to do for everyone. Definitely would go back.
Waterfalls are always amazing and this was huge. There is an option of using the cable car or taking the stairs to reach the bridge above. We took the 487 stairs that gave a panoramic view through the climb.
Very enjoyable visit, you can drive to the top if you want to save money on the cable car, just show your entry ticket.

Every time I come here with my family it is a wonderful experience and the park is truly beautiful! They now have a zip line and an adventure climb available to offer more of an adventurous experience!
Gorgeous falls with the ability to see the falls from right above to the very bottom. The cable car ride was a plus especially with small kids. There are play areas for children at the top and bottom.
Less than 10 mins from downtown, very worth the effort! Facilties are updated and staff amazing

Something about the sound of waterfalls is soooooo calming. Lots of interesting geomorphology to learn about too - The Canadian shield and fault lines create a marvelous spectacle!
There were a lot of people since it's a popular spot but we still managed to get very good pictures of the fall. It's a good place to bring your family and go for a picnic.
What an awesome day at the park it was! Breathtaking views, great hikes and yummy restaurant on site too, what more can you ask for? A must visit, when in Quebec city!

Must visit waterfalls near quebec city We visited during pandemic so couldn't explore much of the food scene. But otherwise it is serene and very beautiful ❤️
Amazing place to visit! Better to park in the premises for $4 and each Quebec adult is charged with $4.99. Few stretches on the circuit are closed.
Amazing views that made me wonder just how miraculous nature is. Beautiful day trip with friends filled with fun and laughs! 5 stars all the way!!

Set lunch is tasty! Prepare yourself for the long walk for the staircase! Excellent scenery from the cable car to view the fall.
Really liked the falls and the suspension bridge. Good place to have a picnic too. Getting into cable car can be a long wait.
Nice place. But the zip line was closed and also there was construction going on, we were not able to go down till the falls
Pretty place to wander around, see fall colours, waterfall, and suspension bridge. Good for a little walking and fresh air.
Beautiful area. Suggest parking at the top! Cost of the gondolas is the only reason I'm rating a 4.
