A tragic event has happened to me and my friends on August 2020 - a car accident. I was driving a rental car. When I rented the car, I purchased the collision damage waiver thinking that if ever something happens to me, I’m protected and covered. The car was completely written off. I thought it’s gonna be covered. Unfortunately, not. The rental company is demanding me to pay the whole cost of the car telling me that the coverage was voided because I was issued a ticket. I’m new in Canada. I don’t know what to do. I can’t pay for the cost of the car. Then, a friend of mine told me to ask for help from a lawyer. I don’t know any lawyer here. My friend recommended Paul. At first, I was afraid. I thought that getting a lawyer here would cost me a lot. I reached out to Paul. When I told Paul about my situation, he whole heartedly accepted my case. Paul was very approachable and helpful. I did not get intimidated at all. He’s very professional. When he knew that I’m new in Canada and have no means of paying the car and even him that much, he considered it. He did not ask me for a huge amount of money. The trial and the settlement between me and the rental company went on. After some conversation and talk with the rental company, Paul was able to lower down the charges for the damage and was able to make it an instalment. This is a dishonest person. We used the legal help (findlegalhelp) to get a 30 min free legal opinion. We got this person who invited us to come to his office. When we arrived, he listened and would not help unless we pay him 700 dollars. He was desperate for customers almost begging us to retain him. He wasted our time.
