After my mum came here for 3 years paying $120 every time and having great experiences it has all turned bad since the new owner took over bringing my mums 3 year run to a traumatic end. They had to cancel my mum appointment due to a sick employee, once the appointment was re book my mum was told an extra fee will occur due to the length of time since the dog was seen, that's ok. When returned they said the cost was double, making it $240. When mum questioned it they said if you don't pay we will not return your dog. What has happened here is they have charged for the appointment they cancelled and the appointment that happened. Not extra, double. Really poor management and then saying the dog wouldn't be returned left my mum scared and forced to pay for 2 appointments. Way to drive away loyal customers. Be careful when the say extra costs, they will sting you and arm and a leg In response to your reply you have not been honest and simply not taking responsibility for your actions. You have broken the law as my mum was advised and extra price does not mean double. I hope in future your customer service improves and no more clients are put through what ny mum was out through. Very sad you have got so on the defence you can't take responsibility for your actions

We have been getting our labradoodles for a few years at this business. Used to be a pleasant and caring experience with the previous oweners. Understand there has been a change in ownership and the standards and professionalism and courtesy has fallen steeply - covid or not - there is no excuse for butchering the coat of my sensitive old labradoodle... i dont consider him to be groomed - but shaved to the skin - you can see his pink skin... Also the owner is making up rules as the day unfolds - she cant bath but can trim hair; was told that owners cant choolse length of hair as per government rules... Have rung business victoria and covid helpline and was told NO such rules or advice has been given. Essentially she wants a quick job done with a number five blade on the dog in the name of welfare grooming ... one size all over the dog... and shave him to his skin and finish the job in fifteen minutes perhaps... WONT be going back again and two of my other friends who used to use the service have also said the professionalism and engagment with clients is absolutely shocking. what a shame . used to be a good business once upon a time.

What an amazing Team!! Thank you so much from A-Z!! Once we discovered that restrictions were lifted & we could have our fur baby groomed, we contacted 4 local dog grooming salons. Fortunately we received a call back & arranged a suitable appt for our blind fur baby Moppsy with the team at ‘Paws & Whiskers’..of the 3 other dog groomers only 1 other called back after 2 weeks & no response from the other 2. The day before Moppsy’s appt we received a very friendly, descriptive reminder message from ‘Paws & Whiskers’. On the day of our appt., we were early & they were happy to check in Moppsy so he can become comfortable with his new surroundings. Upon picking up Moppsy, we couldn’t believe how adorable he looked. He also seemed very comfortable which is great considering his age (16) & blind. We just wanted to thank Alison & the great team at ‘Paws & Whiskers’ for doing a great job with grooming & looking after Moppsy. He looks & feels amazing!! Thank you

Picked up my little poodle and he was bleeding everywhere His paw pad had been cut and had wounds that were open around his bottom . Although they paid the vet bill I thought I would give the Benefit of the doubt and give another try only to be told he was difficult and he could not return Truly appalled and completely dismissed not even a follow up call He is the most placid baby poodle and I would be difficult also if I was left with open wound s on antibiotics and bandaged all over .after the groom ! Bad business would not recommend Paws and whiskers your response is untrue and an unprofessional attack Lenny has not returned at all to your salon and it was this year not last year ! Please refrain from taking a professional attack in your response my puppy is not matted as you say and I’m happy to provide pictures of what was done to him .

We have been patrons of Paws and Whiskers for a few years now and are incredibly grateful for the fabulous work you do. We are especially grateful that we were able to get our fur babies recent welfare groom undertaken with you (his regular groomers), as he is just getting to old to go somewhere brand new now. The communication regarding the welfare grooming was excellent, as it always is, and our little man looked and clearly felt fantastic following. We have also been recording his breathing rate recently as his vet is concerned that he has developed a heart condition - before his grooming his heart rate was at a concerning level, post it is much more normal.

I just popped in to this store for the first time to get a new collar for my cat. The girl there was SO lovely. I didnt catch her name but she said she is normally there as a pet groomer but is looking after the store while the owner is on holiday. She was so incredibly helpful, polite, friendly and welcoming. She was so lovely. The store itself is great, has a quirky selection of collars, leads, toys etc and as a vet nurse myself, I was really impressed that they only stock high quality science diet foods and flea prevention. Will definitely be back here. Beautiful store!

I have to say that they did an amazing job! My puppy snowball was rejected by another groomer because they told me that he is very naughty. They say he needs to be introduced to grooming again and again and again until his hair can be cut. I was very stressed because the weather is so hot for him with all his fur. I walked to Paws and Whiskers and I thought I would give a try. When I picked him up, he became so cute and beautiful. They told me he was so good! I was even wondering if I picked up the right dog thanks so much! Will definitely come back!!!

Paws & Whiskers have been looking after our anxious spoodle for the last 3 years. They are always kind and caring, and they do an incredible job with his groom. We always ask for feedback on how he was so we can work on his anxiety. The team are honest and constructive, which we are incredibly grateful for. They genuinely care about the health and happiness of their clients and we are so glad we found them. Plus they have a great selection of treats!

Luna was very well looked after on her first visit here as a 3 month year old. The staff were fantastic and while the first cut was a little overwhelming for our little Cavoodle they gave great advice as to how we can prepare her better for the next visit. Lots of gentle pulling and holding her face, facial hair and legs to get her used to being manipulated is in order. Her first visit was 2 1/2 hours to manage any anxiety and discomfort.

We have been taking our dog to Paws & Whiskers for years and have always received top-notch service. The groomers are always professional and do an excellent job on our dog's haircut. The facility is always clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Paws & Whiskers to anyone in need of reliable and high-quality grooming services for their furry friend. I hadn't been to mentone since 1990 so it was a big surprise to find this cute little pet store that were able to sell me some puppy toys that are indestructible..so dar at least. Ive had x2 Yours Droolly dog toys that are still intact 3 years later!! My dogs usually shred toys..but these have been fantastic. Will definitely do a 4hr drive again to visit the shop.

The team at Paws & Whiskers are so professional, talented and kind! I have been taking my Sadie there for 9 years now (since she was a puppy) and their help, advice and support has been so invaluable to me over that entire time. The grooming is absolutely divine but, most importantly, Sadie loves going there which gives me peace of mind!

Paws and Whiskers have been grooming my golden retriever Jemima for over 10 years! I find Skye and the team always professional and always do the most amazing job. Love taking our Bichon dog here for a full groom. The service is excellent and they always do a beautiful job. Very friendly staff. Our girl loves her visits for a trim. It amazes me how she goes in as a King Charles Cavalier and comes out looking like a Begal for about the next 3 weeks. No, seriously they do a really great job.
