Horrible experience where I left feeling humiliated and upset. I bought some over the counter medication, left and went to take it in my car which was parked 30 seconds away. I opened the box and it was empty, nothing but the instruction booklet. I went straight back in and let them know. Waited for 10 minutes whilst the pharmacist was in the bathroom. When he came out he greeted me and asked me what happened. I explained and said there’s no way it could have been dropped and we had checked the car. His tone was accusatory and rude. He questioned me more and said this has never happened in the history of his career - not sure how I was supposed to respond to his (I don’t care- it’s happened now). By this point I was getting frustrated and tried to explain that I’m not lying. He accused me of not coming back straight away (I did - and his colleague backed me up). He also said I should check the medication box before leaving the pharmacy - who does this??? Medication usually comes in a paper bag. I will never use this pharmacy again. So rude!

After exhausting pharmacies in my local area trying to find an antibiotic prescription for my son, I travelled to Paydens. I called beforehand and asked if they had the antibiotic and spoke with Alison who was exceptionally polite. I managed to pick up the prescription and was fully informed on how to use/given advice on my sons symptoms. I called after visiting to confirm some details and thankfully spoke to Alison again. Alison was understanding and patient of my situation, so willing to help a fellow parent in need and was a pleasure to speak with. Thank you so much!

They never answer the phone or they often pick the phone up and put it straight back down again. One very rude inconsiderate Pharmacist or Pharmacy Adviser told my 90 year old mother not to phone them to order prescriptions anymore but to use ‘the App’. I’ve worked it out as to which App but my mother who can just about work out how to send a text on her phone was stunned by the response received and the expectations put upon her by this dictatorial Pharmacist ! Customer care score a 1 out of 10 ! Oh and they’ve often got her prescriptions wrong!

How the devil did this place nearly get 4 stars. They've had dreadful staff since I lived in central Beckenham in 2012...Today was no exception - went in and I was told the pharmacist was at lunch....Urm OK don't they have people to do shifts - said I could leave the prescription and come back in 15 minutes...To which I said no sorry I'll need to get this quickly. A blonde elderly woman behind the till said 'ok then' sarcastically - I just looked vacantly at her and left...Well if she hasn't adopted decent customer service by her age - forget it.

OUTRAGEOUS. Just called the pharmacy to ask if I could get an emergency prescription to which the lady said she would talk to her manager and see if it was possible. She thought he had muted herself but she didn't and I had to sit there and listen to her be so rude about me. When she realised that I was listening the WHOLE time she just waited for me to hang up in silence. Is this how people with medical training treat patients calling in for MENTAL HEALTH MEDICATION!!!! I AM APPALLED

I've used this chemist happily for many years. Their new policy of signing for meds delivered means if I am unable to get to the door i do without. This service is for disabled and vulnerable people . not useful.. I will be looking for a new chemist and unfortunately it's impossible to get through by phone. One day I tried 36 times There are good , staff but whoever as put in place the new changes have ruined an excellent chemist

The worst pharmacy ever I can’t believe after 2 years having my prescription given to me with no problem they now never have my medication in stock. Pharmacy is falling apart and needs serious updating. Only a few people willing to help the rest can’t get you out of there quick enough. Pharmacy further down the road is far more friendly and reliable.

Excellent pharmacy with very helpful and efficient staff; I have always had a very positive experience here. My prescriptions are usually ready to collect, and if not, are prepared fairly swiftly. I greatly appreciate the long opening hours - in the evenings and at weekends - which makes it much more convenient to fit in. Would thoroughly recommend.

This place has every kind of medicine going. I'm also starting to wonder whether it ever shuts, because I have always been able to get medicine from there, at the weekends, during lockdown, bank holidays, even bank Holidays during lockdown. Paying with contactless through the glass screen also makes me feel like I'm in Back to the Future II.

Absolutely fantastic staff, went there late night on friday after my son's inhaler had emptied out and no way to contact GP as it was after hours, the pharmacist and staff were extremely helpful and showed concern and advice and before they closed I was helped.super grateful to them for professional and excellent service

Came at 12.30pm and shutters down. Supposed to be open. Had to go all the way to Bromley. Not sure why Google thinks I'm making this up, unless they can prove this shop does open on bank holidays, as it seems they don't, but they do not say on their opening hours or website that they are closed on bank holidays.

Very pleased with the customer service. Staff are responsive, helpful and do not make you wait too long. They even kindly gave my Maa medication (two days supply) because she completely ran out of her hypertensive tablets, until she managed to get GP to prescribe it. Very helpful indeed.

Why have a telephone line if the telephone NEVER gets answered. Absolutely useless. The pharmacist was unnecessarily aggressive and patronising. Good as a dispensing pharmacy but don't shop for chemist products as overpriced compared to Superdrug, Boots etc.

I cannot recommend Paydens pharmacy enough. The out of hours duty pharmacist and his assistant helped me today with a really sensitive issue. They were enormously kind, calming and highly competent. Thank you ever so much.

This used to be the best pharmacy in beckenham but gone down in my estimation as they never andwer the phone. I have just had liver transplant and i really needed to talk to them as i am now out of my medication!!!!

What a lovely bunch of people at Paydens in Beckenham. A really enjoyable visit. Gosh I wish my local Pharmacy had an atmosphere like that. Thanks guys, looking forward to my next visit.

A total joke of a pharmacy, never answer the phone, look totally void of anything when you ask them something. These people should not be l such a responsible position

The chemist/pharmacist must have been trained in a toilet! Rubbish customer service, clueless staff, should be shut down and reopened with new trained staff.

Why Does every chemist in Beckenham take an age to collect a prescription? Often the order is wrong too. Why don't they confirm what's in your bag?

Generally give good advice, a bit slow with preparing prescriptions but the late opening is very handy for after work.

My mother stopped going there last year because of a rude and moody member of staff (tattooed woman with red hair).
