My wife & I stayed at Two Truffles for 2 nights at a cost of $465 from 14th to 16 May 2022. Our stay can best be described as very disappointing and underwhelming. To begin with there is no WiFi. This should be stated on the Booking.com website & made clear to those intending to stay. No WifI will be ok for some and not for others. Don't hide it though. A continental breakfast is provided and this includes a packet of muffins & other limited items. While the packet contains 6 muffins, to our astonishment the owners had removed two muffins and therefore provided us with 4. We had to laugh at the pettiness of the owners. Ok, so the owners have a policy of one muffin each for 2 days, but you also get 1 banana each for 2 days & a mandarin each for 2 days. This enables you to consume half a banana & mandarin per day. Moving on to the bathroom amenities. Guests are provided with miniature items of shampoo, body wash etc. The main concern is the body wash. The amount provided is enough for two people to have one shower each. See accompanying photo as this will provide others with an understanding of the amount you receive. We are resourceful problem solvers however & we purchased additional body wash at the supermarket. Pity we had to go to that expense. Regarding the fire, the wood provided was 90% gone by the time we went to bed on the first night. Our thoughts were no problem, the owners will probably come around & replenish. Well, the answer to that is no. So, if you want to sit in front of the fire for a second day make sure you bring your own supply of wood. Finally, neither of the two exterior front verandah lights worked. As this is the only exterior lighting it becomes somewhat hazardous making one's way around in the dark. I contacted the owner(s) on the first night to report this. A prompt reply was received stating that they will try to get someone to fix it the next day. Well, it wasn't fixed. This was also reported previously by another guest on Booking.com reviews. Perhaps the owners should read the reviews and attend to the issues raised. Furthermore, the exterior light for the rear yard doesn't work either. Also, the bathroom heatlamps operated on a timer but these too don't work.. Finally, there are many previous comments relating to parking. If you have a small car you should be ok. We have a large car & the other guests did too. It was almost comical trying to manoeuvre the cars in & out. In March 2021 a guest stated in a review that the parking area could be lit with sensor lights to assist with parking. Clearly the owners ignored this very sensible & low cost suggestion & again they would seem not to care about the reviews.

Michelle is an absolute disaster to deal with.. Initially booked the larger room with kitchen and larger bedroom 6 weeks in advance only to be told the day before check in that it could not be given to me. I was placed in a tiny little cottage with rock hard bed and mattress and told there was nothing she could do. We were then given breakfast …haha she gave us a half loaf of stale bread with 2 tiny packets of cereal with no milk.. Also upon check out she then deducted an extra 70 dollars from the nights rate as we used a small complimentary soap in the shower and also didn’t keep the room “clean enough” which is garbage as we barely stayed 4 hours in there all up. She refuses to answer any follow up emails. Never ever will I book with this money hungry person again. And I advise everyone else to do the same.

We stayed at the Two Truffles B&B the night of our wedding. We paid to stay in the Oaktree Cottage however we weren't even given check in details until 10pm. When we arrived after our reception we were rudely confronted by someone else in our cottage. We were moved to the very small studio cottage for the night, and we were given no apologies to the mistake made by Michelle. The romantic experience you expect the night of your wedding fell severely short for us and we strongly advise anyone getting married in the area to book somewhere else.

Beautiful cottages, convenient location and great price. We stayed here for our wedding in Yering, and it was a great spot to get ready on the day. Had everything we needed (including fully functioning kitchen) with a cute porch and courtyard. Will stay here again!

A wonderful getaway. The cottage is beautiful, the fireplace with endless wood, a bbq and beautiful spa bath made for a relaxing getaway. The staff were very prompt and responsive with all enquiries. Walking distance to the main shopping strip and in amongst all the wineries. Will definitely come back!

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here! Accomodation was immaculate and very well equipped. Such a quaint and relaxing atmosphere inside. Located down the road from the Main Street and a short drive to many of the wineries. Looking forward to the next stay! Thanks for your hospitality!
