Been open for years and still functional. I've been shopping with them as far back as the 80's when there were two branches of the store. The staff has always been very polite and friendly. I love my "People's". Their merchandise is always on point both by the visual display and the actual customer costs. No other comparison can be made to them. Even my relatives who live in Barbados rave about them and the products along with the fantastic customer service. RoseMarie and David along with the rest of the staff definitely are rockstars. Hopefully my future generations will also be able to enjoy them. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Love this store! It's gotten us out of a pinch countless times. The prices really are good and the staff is friendly...the bad reviews are confusing? My guess is they are probably from people visiting from flyover states who don't actually live here and have yet to realize you can't buy a whole farm for $100 anymore and that bread actually costs more than ¢10. To my knowledge this is the only local store of its scale that can compete with Amazon prices. It's like having our own locally owned version of target/ Walmart except it's family owned and has been operating for 40+ years.

This is a little hard I've gone to people not regularly but a good 30 years I'm 40 slightly less time then I've known about "fat albert"people is currently my make up spot for "fat Albert"i cant say u will find everything in there but u might be pleasantly surprised I was on more then one occasion example I needed push pins the 1st time I went they showed me where they should be I found none then I went back maybe 2 weeks later behold I found them with out going to Walmart or staples now I can hang my hats (yea that's the only reason I wanted them so what)

People's is my favorite neighborhood store! There are a few things that can not be found in this gem most of the time. It is the place to go when your pockets are low, but you need supplies for your home. They sell clothing, housewares, medicines, cosmetics, and hair care. And I would be remiss to mention all the things you need and didn't realize you wanted. I always ♥️ ❤️ love to shop in this store. And now they have expanded to another store across Broadway!

while making a purchase I was disrespected by a female clerk behind the register who even cursed at me. I asked for who is in charge, she said go ahead call who ever you like, I don't care. I spoke to Mr. Mustafa (manager) who said he'll take care of it without even asking my complaint. I was so annoyed as I have been coming here for over 10 years and this is the second time this same clerk have been unprofessional and very rude.

I have been shopping at this store for years and I like it. It's a step up or two from a dollar store forum. You can buy anything for your home here for every room in your house, plain and simply. You can also buy clothing, shoes, and school supplies. On my last trip to Peoples', I purchased some word find puzzle books for my almost 83 year old mom. I will ask all to comet and see the store for themselves.

Amazing pricing with amazing people. I can try my hardest to buy in thing, but when I see the prices that are able to make me buy more, I do just that buy more. I swear if they had a public IPO, I'd so invest! People's is true value for hard times and good times! And something about that store makes you keep coming back for more.

This store is INCREDIBLE! Literally has everything you could ever need! From kitchenware, to furniture, to beauty supplies, it never let you down. The staff is extremely helpful and really cares about making your experience there a good one. I’ve grown up going to People’s, and I can say it’s a true Brooklyn staple!

Great neighborhood go for all store. You can find drug store over counter items to electronics and housewares to clothes and underwear. They have housewares at reasonably low prices. This neighborhood gem has been with us since 1970's and is just getting better with time.

Considering Family Dollar is across the street, you'd think their prices would be a little lower . Also they tend to be limited in other things like the refill air wick scents. Peoples only have 2 refills at $5.99, while Family Dollar has the 4 refills and $5.50.

I have been going to this store for more than fifteen years and you can find almost everything for your home or apartment there. Everything is at a reasonable prices and the workers a very polite. You can even do layaway, you can beat that!!!

This store has a large variety to choose from. They also have a loyalty points program that takes money off of your total price at the counter. To add another plus, the customer service is very friendly and helpful.
