I was in a hurry so I was trying to find someone to help me. I wandered the aisles for 5 minutes. There was no one in sight and there was one cashier for 5 people in line. The line expanded to about 10 before they had someone else come out. When they did, I was able to get the attention of someone in an office who asked someone else to help. They said it would take them 5 minutes to meet me in the aisle. I was just going to leave but the guy offered to help. I asked my questions and he immediately said I need a 20 gallon tank minimum for my tiny baby turtle. I explained that I checked the recommendations on size and for now my set up is fine. My responses were short and clipped, but he was none too happy that I disagreed with his pitch. He told me I needed a heat lamp and a filter and a water heater, etc. I get it. I will eventually, but I wasn't looking to spend $500 on a turtle that was rescued from a friend's driveway. The thing is two inches long. The ambient air in my house is hotter than most houses and the water temp in his tank is within the recommended range because of it. His tank is in sunlight during the day etc. The point is he wasn't willing to hear my side, he was only interested in making his point. He wasn't willing to try to work with me where I was, simply because I disagreed with him. I've since taken my business elsewhere and will continue to do so whenever possible from now on. There are other options out there. And they were much more informative and understanding. Maybe my attitude was worse than it could have been, but I don't curse at people, I say thank you, I try to be heard and acknowledge others input. If you can't handle disagreement with grace, don't work in customer service. I will say, that on other occasions the same guy was helpful, but my bad day or rushed attitude should not so dramatically effect someone being able to provide effective customer service.

IMO, this location keeps their shelves stocked WAY BETTER than the Best of the West (BOTW) location. I have to go a little further to get to this location, but it is very worth it to me because 99% of the time they have the items that I regularly buy on their shelf (or in the refrigerator). Sadie, my Shih Tzu, unfortunately has MAJOR food allergies and can't eat anything with chicken or chicken oil, lamb, duck and a couple of other proteins. It's actually kind of difficult finding food that doesn't have either chicken or the chicken oil on the ingredient list. She eats FreshPet Vital Beef & Bison (refrigerated) regularly and more recently it seems like more pet parents have stepped up and are feeding their little loved ones the refrigerated food options... so I have a more difficult time getting it at the BOTW location. The treats I give her are actually a dehydrated raw beef dog food. At BOTW I am rarely able to get the largest bag of it because I guess the beef type is very popular there. I'm not sure if they have to do inventory to know what needs to be ordered, but more often than not, the area of shelf where beef ones sit, is completely empty. BOTW will have a shipment come in and will have excessive amounts of everything else, but the beef shelf remaines empty, and has stayed that way for up to 3+ weeks. At the Durango/215 store, it is constantly stocked, so I don't know where the issue lies, if it is a Corporate thing or a location thing. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm not sure who does orders for inventory or if it is based off of what is sold and the computer system processes some kind of report as to what needs to be shipped to each location. Sorry for this being so long. Hopefully it is helpful for somebody.

This place is horrible. Scheduled my two Schnauzers to be groomed on line. Showed up and the rude as hell groomer (Marge), was the nearest to the register. As I walked in with a smile and positive attitude, I got met with a scowl and a shaking head. She let me stand there with my two anxious dogs for 5 freaking minutes. Then she said in a rude tone, "Do you have an appointment"? I wanted to say, "No I just show up with my dogs and expect them to get right in!" "Yes, I have an appointment". So she looks in the computer for what seemed like an eternity and says, "You don't have an appointment". I said "yes I do." Now I'm pissed. She said we are overbooked and can't take them. Just like that. She didn't even make eye contact. I asked for the manager. Manager came over and I explained the situation. The whole time, Marge was shaking her head. I was seconds away from cussing her out. I didn't. I pulled up my confirmation on my phone. Proof I had an appointment. Manager basically said too bad too sad. I told them their review would be coming soon. Don't go here. Bad service all around.

The customer in front of me was trying to return an unopened, unused product. The very polite, friendly, and nice cashier scanned it and the receipt came up as "too old" to allow for return. She called for a manager and the manager came to the front and didn't acknowledge the customer, didn't greet the customer, just ignored the customer like he wasn't even there. The cashier explained the situation to the manager who said, "No, then" and walked off. She never looked at what the product was, she never looked at the receipt to see if it was one day over or a hundred days over, and she never explained the policy to the customer . She left all of that to the cashie to deal with. The gentleman then asked was there any recourse whatsoever as he didn't need the product. The cashier said she could call the manager again and see if we can give you store credit. He politely declined. I suppose being ignored once was enough. Just based on that interaction I'll find another pet store to shop at. God forbid I ever have an issue that needed manager-level resolution at this one.

6/02/23 Ordered on line and picked up at N Durango location. Greeted at door. Everything neat and organized. Pick up kiosk at entrance. Press the button and associate will assist. Minimsl wsit. Employee was very friendly and helpful. All items were in the bag. Very fast and convenient service. Large interior with wide aisles. Great assortment of pets items. Friendly staff. Great parking area. Revisited PetSmart for doggy treats. Lots of items on sale. Greeted at the door. Staff very helpful and efficient. Checkout was fast and easy. I visited here 5/31/22 to pick up an item I ordered online. The pick up kiosk is just inside the entrance. You just press the button for the assistance. Wait was minimal. The pick up items are up front which makes it easier and fast. Customer service was just as friendly. 8/24/22 Stopped by here today to pickup an online order. The pickup kiosk is at the entrance. Just press the button for help. The response time was quick. It only took about 2 minutes to receive my purchase. I was greeted at the door. Customer service was good.

The business had dog food. I bought some. Afterwards the stress began... I got a notification about reviewing our experience. We started a small peer group meeting, using safe social distancing practices and wearing masks. We discussed parking, entering, browsing, customer service, purchasing, and exiting the establishment. We broke down the experience into 3 categories: the shopper, the business, and feelings. The Shopper (me): the parking lot was a little hard to maneuver around. Wider spaces would be good because I was extremely impaired and emotionally unbalanced knowing I was going to have to drop a couple hundred bucks on dog food, toys and treats. I was pretty much blacked out the rest of the time. The Business (them): they had what I needed 5 stars... GOOD JOB! Feelings: They actually died a long time ago. I walk around in a fog of emptiness. Unfeeling. Waiting for the sweet embrace of nothingness.

We went into the store looking for a Bearded Dragon. Knowing little about them and what they needed, Sierra was quick to offer help. From the beginning to the end, not only was she extremely knowledgeable about the pet, but she was all smiles and extremely patient. We had my two kids, their two friends and all are younger over excited kids. Sierra helped us find our next friend, plus she helped us with what we needed to have in its cage, eating schedules, etc… from beginning to end (about an hour) she was there helping us. Sierra, thanks again for making our experience one to remember. While we have had bad experiences at this store, Sierra helped to make this one great. Store owners, if y’all are listening, she deserves a raise, a bonus and the employee of the month award. What a terrific individual. Clearly she loves her job and that goes a long way when helping others. A+++!!

They staff was great. I took my 7 month old puppy n to be groomed. I was quoted 26.00 on the phone for grooming, wash, Anul gland cleaning, nail trimming and bath. But I paid 54.00. Just to get home and realize that the only thing which was performed was the hair cut which wasn’t great as long and uneven hair was left on my dogs hair. Staff is great but store tactics r very misleading. Upon coming to store. I had a 12:30 appointment time , I saw several, 6 to be exact come hours after me and be treated as my dog was left n a kennel n the back. The whole process took almost 4 hours. I feel for the price I could have done a lot better. And I fear my dog is now scared of being led to strangers. Sad that these tactics r used in our best friends. Sad. I will never use them again no matter how nice the staff is. I feel cheated and sad for my little puppy.

I have been going to Petco for a while, always forgetting about Petsmart. That changes today. I haven’t been in a Petsmart in years, and today I walked in and had the BEST shopping experience I’ve ever had in a pet store. Seirra talked with my 10 year old son and I to help Us understand how to get setup, how to care for, and everything we needed to buy and do for a leopard gecko. She spent over 20 minutes with us when she didn’t have to. She was the kindest and most helpful person I could’ve asked to help us! We will definitely be coming to this location on a regular basis! We also plan on purchasing a leopard gecko soon because of our experience!

Tammy is the BEST!!!! Hello, we had problems with grooming. Our Lucky became aggressive when his face was touched.The Tammy advised us to consult with veterinarian and fixed him then to take classes with trainer.We did so. We took classes with Jason .It helped a lot .Today was a very exciting day, we went to get a haircut. And it turned out , Lucky was calmer than ever and we were allowed to return. Thanks to our grooming Lady for her support and patience.Lucky and I love this place .It’s never the problem in the dog, the problem is in your education and attitude. It's not enough to love your dog you have to educate him too.

For the most part, this store is great! The staff working on the floor/aisles are super friendly and provide great customer service. I'm not one of those extreme pet owners like a lot of people are these days, so I don't know what an "exceptional" pet store should be like, but I will say that this store has everything for the most part. Although, I have noticed the store having several product shortages...which isn't life-threatening by any means...it just involves going elsewhere/online shopping. Even though I don't personally want to, I'll be back to this store for my family's furry friend.

This trip I went to go check out what kitties they had for adoption. They had a bunch of these really cute kittens all around 4 to 5 months old and there $100 each. Me and my boyfriend are thinking about getting one soon. It always feels good knowing you're giving an animal a good home. And of course I would buy all the accessories and stuff that I would need to go with the kitty. Like a litter box litter and of course Kitty toys!! I just love kittens they're so playful and just fun to be around. Can't wait to have one myself!

I adopted a dog from the shelter and brought him to Banfield for a general exam. I asked for them to check his teeth and they recommended a dental cleaning but didn’t tell me he had a broken tooth and two that were almost rotted through. I discovered that myself when I tried to brush his teeth. I took him to Grand Montecito and they did a great job taking care of him over there and got his cleaning and extractions done right away. If you want someone to take the time to look carefully at your pet I’d suggest going elsewhere.

I’m very upset that my two dogs have been here from 12:30 it’s now 4:40 still not done each one hade there own stylists so why two dogs 4 hours on one dog this is to much .not happy at all .not sure if I’m bringing them back let’s see what they did in all this time so it’s now 500 pm just now getting them funny they have duration time as 1hout 80 minutes lol from -12:30 to 5 pm my poor little dogs have been hear I came in at 3:30 she had only started combing him !!!so I really like the girl Stephen they do an okay job

Lyndsee is one of the best groomers my dog ever had. She was kind and loved on my dog from the moment she walked through the door until she left and I know my little girl felt it as much as I saw it. She looked absolutely beautiful when I picked her up! There was another girl with Lyndsee who was just as sweet and kind and I wish I knew her name because I'd love to mention her as well but sadly, i do not know it. Thank you girls for making Chelsea and I feel so great about leaving her there to be pampered!

Well, there was an ad..that could have been read and meant 2 different things...of course the mgr read it how YOU may have MEANT IT TO BE, BUT I READ IT DIFFERENTLY and possibly others as well....AND, NO MORE TOP OF THE RECEIPT discounts on next visit...i have 6 cats, but would never traumatize them by a car ride and a bath..ARE YOU ALL NUTS...SUPER disappointed as i have to go in at least one x per week ..sure would be nice to get 10-30% off your next visit FOR FOOD...so disappointing. :(((

The worst unfinished hair cut to my dog. Unfinished because my dog was moving to much. But we still had to pay full price.. My husband doesn't like to have any conversation so he paid for it.. This is horrible uneven chopping I have ever seen . N my dear friend is a dog breeder. There was 4 clueless 20 year girls.. I will make sure I let everybody know. NEVER TO TAKE UR PET TO PET SMART.. I haven't been to this Petsmart in about 8 or 9 years due to a bad experience. Well someone gave me a gift card and I decided to go in because I needed to try sweaters and t-shirts on my Chihuahua mix. I was immediately greeted when I walked in. Someone else also came over and assisted me with the sweaters and helped me find a matching collar for my little princess. Even though this Petsmart is a little far from my house, it was an overall positive experience.

PetsSmart Grooming is a great place to take your animals! I trust them 100% with my animals! My dogs always look great when they are groomed and they're always happy! These trained professionals always greet me with a smile and are kind and compassionate with the animals and the customers! Their prices are competitive with other groomers. They will go out of their way to make sure a customer is happy and taken care of. I won't go anyplace else!

Great customer service! I don't usually give retail businesses 5 stars because there is always room for improvement but these days, with those employees who are actually showing up to work and that go the extra mile even tho they are crazy busy I think they deserve the credit. Came here to get supplies for our new puppy, I felt like I had no idea what we needed! A kind associate probably saw how helpless I was... She offered help and guided me in buying all the essentials, even recommending items specifically for my puppy's breed. I stopped in with my pup for a nail trim and cat litter. I didn’t look at the total at the register and went about my day as normal. I later received a call from Bree/Bri, and she informed me that there was a mixup with my grooming service, and I was overcharged. I hadn’t even noticed! She gave me easy options to remedy the problem. This type of customer service does not go unnoticed, and neither does her kindness.

Fish department is atrocious. Never in stock, dead fish, & what topped it off for me today is I called ahead to ask if they had any corydora fish IN STOCK. The woman on the other line did a great job at reading off the names of the fish on the labels & confirmed they were in stock, but when I arrived at the store & saw they're absolutely zero Cory's. Like why are you the way that you are. Don't come here for fish.

I don't know who is managing this store, but if an employee sees a customer who is blatantly racist against another customer they should be speaking out. There is no reason why I should have to defend myself against a racist woman simply because of the color of my skin. I will never ever shop here. My dog and I can find the same products at better prices online or in other stores that are not this one.

My daughter, grand-daughter and myself were trying to kill some time until another store in the same vicinity opened, so we went inside PetSmart to browse around. We walked up and down all the isles and enjoyed what we saw. More than one employee stopped to ask us if we needed any assistance. Checkout was fast and easy. It was a nice store to take children in.

Took my two small dogs in to get their nails trimmed. They did a wonderful job. They made my boys relax and took their time doing the job. The store appeared to be clean. When I checked out at the front, the cashier was nice and friendly. He was able to answer my questions about their "loyalty program"; which I signed up for. I'll be back to this PetSmart.

This was my first experience with Petsmart Grooming. I took my 2 dogs in to be groomed. Aspen and Liz did an incredible job. I asked for specific things and lengths for my dogs and they did exactly what I wanted. I recommend Aspen and Liz at Petsmart on N. Durango and 215 in Las Vegas Nevada. Thank you Aspen and Liz again for making my 2 dogs look amazing.

We went in for a trip for our Remi’s gotcha day. The set up, and supplies were like all other Petsmarts, but the employees were not! We interacted with 2 different associates and they were both very rude. If you hate your job, get a new one-everyone is hiring. I’ll drive a bit farther next time to Petco where the employees are friendly and kind.

Not a good grooming salon. They don't review or provide recommendations. They charged me too much for only full bath (without haircut) I never knew I could have paid half of what I normally do until a few days ago. I don't think they cleaned my doggy's ears and she didn't smell like after bath. Also the salon is too small and crouded.

Took my daughter here to get her first pet mouse. Nick was the one that helped us out with all the necessities. He was extremely knowledgeable. Horrible place. My dog left bleeding after her nails were done. they acted like it was no big deal. Asked to speak to the manager who promptly came in about 15 - 20 min. She was annoyed and asked in a very condesending tone if we wanted our money back. Never go to a mass, corporate place if you care about your animals.

Amazing Service and Always friendly staff! Was scared at first with the Groomer service there but so far its been the best one for my dogs. Sadly however they lose 1 star for our preferred Science Hill diet of 1-6 Adult always seeming to be out or close to out and only ever stocked with 3 bags for the big kind.

This place is amazing for cat,dog,bird, and fish owners. There is everything from food and toys, to tanks and rocks with PetSmart. Their prices are actually really decent and they always have really cute cats that you can adopt. They also have little shops where you can get your dogs hair cut and cleaned.

The manager, Bree, is fantastic and always helps me with whatever I need. Customer service from her is top notch. Inventory for crickets is always low or out, but other than that I always feel taken care of by Bree. I bought my Chinese Water Dragon, Bossk, there a year ago and he is an amazing pet.

Well stocked, great to take your dog, Renee trainer is best. Vet services are good, generalists, but excellent for basic keep your dog healthy routine. Durango does not have onsite Doggy Day camp, but groomers are through. Overall staff is tolerant and friendly (my dog is working on leash manners)

Charlie in the fish section spent about twenty minutes helping us pick out new fish for our tank. She was very knowledgeable about the different fish breeds and what would work best in our tank. We wound up purchasing three Overall, the store was clean and employees were wearing their masks.

This place is very nice! It has a ton of great products and even greater employees. My only complaint is that many of the products and services are very pricey. But I did get my dog groomed here today and it turned out great! I definitely recommend it.

I visit with Banfield for my boys Pogi and Turk best bets in town. The employees of Pet Smart always say hello and ask if I need anything before I make it to my vets. And when it leave Turk walks up to the register and her knows he'll get a treat!

Chris was great with both our dogs!! It was our dogs' first visit to a groomer and Chris did such a fantastic job grooming, shaving, grinding nails, cleaning teeth, etc. We were very pleased. We will definitely take both dogs back to him!!!

Did not have the dog food I have been getting from them. Sign says that they can't get it from the manufacturer . Apparently Chewy can because I got everything from them and it cost less and is delivered free. Petsmart lost a customer.

This is right next to my gym. I drop by on occasion to pick up toys and treats for the hounds. The store is clean, however in the evening, sometimes it is very slow to check out. Usually every one is friendly so far at this location

I love going to PetSmart. They have good deals and the animals are so cute. I honestly feel bad for the beta fish though, they always look so sad. I wish they would not sell beta fish anymore.

The grooming salon is well kept. The associates are friendly and greet you with a smile. My dog got a great haircut! I love going into this store.
