I love this brunch place in Bern. It has an Australian touch with Sydney breakfast during the weekend and up Ong reservation (gets very full, we got lucky we got a place without booking). Definitely worth the price which is very good compared to other options. I recommend the legendary pancakes for sweet stuff (they have pastries and other cakes at the desk too) and the butter toast for savoury. If I had one thing to improve regarding food it would be to have chilli oil at the table, it would have been terrific with the butter toast! The coffee is great and their milk FRESH and sooooooo good! It’s a unique brand they use, definitely not the cheap options you find somewhere else. It is a crystal bottle with the cream on top that needs to be shaken. The real milk! The open kitchen is great and it shows how they put care in every dish they make. The staff is very friendly and the vibe of the place (very big by the way!) amazing. They also have a small shop of small businesses in case you need a small gift for someone or treat yourself. Will definitely come back!

Amazing brunch, breakfast, coffee or lunch. Couldn’t recommend more. I can’t eat gluten or dairy and the chef made me a special toast that was absolutely delicious. Coffee was amazing and pancakes too. Plus the waiters and waitresses were super kind and friendly. I imagine it’s difficult to get a table on a Saturday but we were very lucky, to get one right before the kitchen closed.

Wirklich nettes Café in Bern, nähe Hirschengraben. Es gibt viele Innensitzplätze und auch einige Aussensitzplätze. An einem Samstag war viel los, Reservation ist generell empfohlen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und nimmt sich auch bei vollem Haus Zeit. Die Vegi Explosion war sehr gut, netterweise mit Rührei statt mit poached egg. Die Pancakes waren etwas anders als auf der Karte, mit Rhabarber statt Erdbeeren, Erbeersauce etc. Darauf musste man etwas warten. Alles in allem nett und empfehlenswert.

Hier erwartet dich ein ganz besonderer Ort! Wir waren zum Brunch an einem Samstag da und sind absolut begeistert. Die Besitzer sind sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend! Schön zu sehen wie vertraut sie mit der Kundschaft umgehen :) Das Essen ist absolut genial! Super leckere und einzigartige Gerichte. Drinnen ist es schön eingerichtet und dies lädt zum gemütlichen Verweilen ein. Kommen sehr gerne wieder ! Gibt ja noch vieles zu Entdecken :)

Kann mich nicht erinnern, dass ich jemals ein so erfrischend aufgestelltes und sympathisches Personal erlebt habe. Dazu noch mega speditiv und trotz grossem Mittagsansturm total gelassen und gut eingespielt. Das Mittagsmenu war super lecker! Reservation ist dringend empfohlen.

One of my favourite cafés in Bern. Very creative and seasonal food. Brunch during the week and special Brunch every Saturday. Very very popular so even a reservation is highly recommended whether for weekends or weekdays. They also have a small shop with local specialties and they sell Melbournian Prana Chai.

Wir waren heute für ein Frühstück im Petit Couteau. Ich war 100% zufrieden! Wir hatten die salzigen Pancakes, sie waren sehr fluffig und geschmacklich sehr lecker! Die Portion war auch angemessen gross für den Preis. Auch das Service-Personal war freundlich und aufgestellt. Werde dieses Restaurant weiterempfehlen.

Wir durften den Brunch zum Polterabend meiner Schwester im Petit Couteau geniessen – Fabienne und das Team haben alles möglich gemacht trotz Sommerpause am Samstag und uns einen wunderbaren Start in den Tag beschert. Ich schreibe hier als Lieferant, nicht als Gast.... obwohl ich das unbedingt mal nachholen muss :-) Ich habe über 40 Kunden in Bern, aber ein Restaurant, das solch eine positive, warmherzige Atmosphäre ausstrahlt wie das Petit Couteau ist einzigartig. Und ein Coffee to go gibts für mich auch immer :-) Macht ihr echt gut, weiter so.

Best brunch I‘ve had in Bern so far! Everything was very tasty and the oatmilk cappuccino was great! Service was exceptional. Wish it was open on Sundays as well!

One of the best cafés in Bern! Good coffee, delicious Chai. On weekends, they serve brunch items, including pancakes. Eclectic decor with friendly staff. Fast service. They also sell artisanal food items. For families, there is a play area, high chairs, and a changing table.

Delicious breakfast and coffee! We had the yogurt and fruit and banana bread, both of which were wonderful, but the smashed avocado was out of this world. They have a rooftop garden full of produce and everything is made fresh to order.
