Popped in for a quick lunch yesterday and this place is one of my new favorites. ATMOSPHERE: Place looked unassuming from the outside but inside, everything was tastefully decorated and clean. We arrived 5 minutes after they opened so only a few other customers were present. Clearly they're popular though with all the mobile orders that were picked up. SERVICE: Staff was very attentive and friendly. Our server patiently explained the items on the menu for us and gave recomendations based on our preferences. Food arrived very fast and they quickly took away empty plates. FOOD: Literally amazing. Everything was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The portion sizes were good and we ended up splitting some dishes. The complimentary tea was a nice touch too. PRICES: For the amount of food and the quality, I'd say its pretty standard. $7 for their soup, I think around $18-20 for their main courses and $12 for their appetizer. All in all, this place was fantastic and if you're in the area, I'd highly reccomend you visit. We'll definitely be returning.

My friend and I had lunch here this afternoon. She ordered pad thai and I ordered the Gaeng Kaew Wan (spicy) (24$) with a very small side of sticky rice as per the recommendation of the server. I also ordered a coffee after our meal (no cream or milk option available). When I received my bill, I noticed they charged me 5$ for the very small side of rice and 5$ for the very small cup of black coffee...no refill, nothing special, just basic black coffee. I was quite surprised and asked the server if a mistake was made and I was charged for a iced coffee or other speciality coffee in error, but nope, a very small cup of black coffee is 5$. Lunch ended up costing me 38.43$ for one person, which is outrageous. Most restaurants do not charge 5$ for a small side of rice, this is usually included in the meal price...especially for a 24$ meal and ive only ever paid 5$ for speciality coffees. I left feeling ripped off. I won't be returning. And the food was just ok, noting special.

We ordered for pick up. I noticed the environment is great when I pick it up. But this comment is only for the food. Overall rating: ⭐️⭐️2/5 Grilled meat: 1/5 (too dry) Portion: 3/5 (potion smaller than others) Price: 3/5 (price a bit higher than others) Left: 2/5 (205: grilled pork and beef on rice) right: 2/5 (100: rice noodle soup with special combo beef) acceptable but worse than other phos I had in Ottawa Sorry if I’m being a strict food critic, when I see the rating is 4.5 I expected more. If this is no hair in the rice, the rating could be 3/5. Also I don’t understand what the waiter is saying very well on the phone, but no point is lost because of that

We tried this place based on a reference from a past acquaintance promising an MSG free experience and were very pleased. Friendly and helpful staff, friendly patrons, great decor, and very clean bathrooms. The food quality was awesome and the take home packaging was quite impressive. This will be or go to spot for pho. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience at this place. The customer service was outstanding, and the veggie soup was delicious. The tofu was tasty and crunchy. I was so pleased with the environment and the cleanliness of the restaurant.

Overall an excellent Vietnamese restaurant in Ottawa. Reasonable price, excellent service, pleasant atmosphere, very clean and comfortable. The food is good and well presented. I wish the fresh spring roll would be a bit tastier by seasoning chicken and adding more mint or coriander. Same with the pho that was missing a tiny bit of flavour (maybe salt or more meat). I would have put five stars if the taste was impeccable and gourmet. I do recommend that place that is not missing much to become the best Vietnamese restaurant in Ottawa.

Great food, great atmosphere. Food tasted wonderful. It was fresh, full of flavour and nice and hot. We had a large bowl of the Pho soup with beef and it was huge. Tons of noodles, lots of beef and a great tasting broth. We also had a curry dish, it was nice and spicy. Good flavour, but just a little too hot for us. Restaurant was super busy with Skip the Dishes take out orders. But the dining area was quite, and a perfect setting for date night. I would recommend this place, and would definitely go back.

My favorite restaurant in Ottawa. Great price for quality and quantity. The pho soups are the best and the service is fast! I have been here at least 4 times and it is always a nice experience. Furthermore, it is almost in the corner of Wellington street, a convenient location. It is a solid 5-star for me. Try the Pho Soup!

This spot is the best spot in Ottawa. They've also mastered the art of delivery. The noodles always arrive perfectly cooked and broth steaming hot. Best part is the noodles come in a disposable bowl that can hold a M of broth so no dishes!

Ordered delivery from here for the first time and it was AMAZING. Food arrived piping hot and it was delicious and the portion was perfect. I had a chicken broth rice noodle soup with shrimp, chicken and tofu, and there was plenty of each. They gave all the goodies on the side too! (Hoisin, sriracha, mint, bean sprouts.) I’ve found my go-to Pho place now for sure. Already can’t wait to eat my leftovers tomorrow!

Warning! Not a good experience and my other 3 guests said the sane. Waiter was not friendly, portions were small, my dish which was shrimp with rice and some salad with nothing on it had no flavour. $18. For blan food I could make better at home. Would not go back. Went for lunch and you would think they would want business but obviously they don’t need the money so will not go back.

I ordered Grilled pork and shrimp… I got chicken. I called the restaurant and not only did they told me that I got the right order but they were quite rude. Not good customer service. My friend tried the meat and even said it was chicken. I’ve had the grilled pork and shrimp before and this was not how it look or taste like. Very disappointed. The meat was over cooked, dry and burnt.

For someone who loves Vietnamese food and orders regularly, I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The spring rolls were burnt and the pork was over cooked. I ordered grilled pork with vermicelli noodles, hot and sour soup and spring rolls. I think there are much better choices in the Ottawa area.

Pho Van Van is my go to for Vietnamese in Ottawa. I’ve been coming here for 7 years and every time the food and service is five stars. The food is always fresh and flavourful. It’s a nice atmosphere and very clean. The service is top notch and friendly. I just love this place!

I enjoyed the food. I wish the won tons came without pork, would have loved to try them. Or even a spring roll that has just shrimp. Other than than I have no complaints. We were the only ones in the restaurant so the service was very fast and they were extremely friendly and polite. I would visit again if I was in the area.

March 21,2022 I came for the first time to this restaurant. My jaw dropped. It was super clean, Friendly staff. The food was super delicious. Cheap price with big portion. I would recommend people to go to this restaurant for your first time. I visit many pho restaurant in Ottawa and this is definitely my top 5

We used to love this place and we were frequent customer, but after this last time never again. We paid over $23 for a fried rice and I didn't mind the price as but if the quality and portion was good. But it was very disappointing.

I absolutely love this little place. Not super conveniently located, but I always use Skip The Dishes. The food is always fresh and is definitely the best tasting out of all the places I've had. The portion sizes are always enough and they are more than generous with their toppings. :)

Once I found this super, yummy place in my neighborhood to get tasty Pho, I keep coming back. I order the rare beef Pho noodle soup. It’s enough for two meals for me and costs $11. Great value, great taste! I’ll be back again! PS The Pho is better than my movie making skills lol

Lovely cozy place. Very good with allergies! I was able to eat here with a peanut and sesame allergy- just ask the waiter to have the chef leave it out :)

We had the famous beef rice noodle soup. The soup base was delicious with a bit of sweetness. The meat balls were tasty and the pricing was affordable too. We had the shrimp roll as the appetizer. Not much on the taste rating but just ok to try once.

I used to eat here all the time while working at Tunneys Pasture. It was a fantastic lunch spot that my colleagues and I would regularly go to. I missed their food and decided to try them on Uber Eats tonight and I was not disappointed. The

Pretty and clean restaurant with nice attentive serving staff. The Pho and the rice noodle main are pretty good, though portions were on the skimpy side compared to Chinatown. Stay away from the appetizers though. The rice rolls were bland

I ordered a large pho today from here today on uber eats, driver had to cancel my order because it spilled all along her car, it was really devastating because no one deserves to get their car messy like that. They caused an inconvenience
