I'm happy that my first ever review is for Physio Chicago and the wonderful space that Tom and Katie have created. I underwent physical therapy for the first time back in 2020. At the time, Tom was at a different practice and from my first appointment with him, I knew he was someone who could help me recover from frozen shoulder on the left side. He pays attention, actually cares, but also makes you put in the work! Well, here were are in 2023 and I'm now having to work through frozen shoulder on the right side. However, my treatment hasn't been a carbon copy approach from before. Even when sessions are a bit more demanding, Tom makes it fun and never makes you feel like you've asked a "stupid question." Physio Chicago encourages learning and is extremely clean, modern and uplifting. I'm proud of Tom and Katie for their new venture. Whether you've gone through PT before or it's your first time, Physio Chicago will work as hard as you, to help you feel better.
I had been struggling with a nagging golfer's elbow injury in my left arm for some time. I tried to fix it myself using YouTube videos, but nothing seemed to work. I was starting to get discouraged and thought I would have to give up climbing altogether. Then, I decided to see a professional. I went to Physio Chicago and met with Tom, who assessed my injury and created a treatment plan specifically for me. Tom was very knowledgeable and patient, and he took the time to explain everything to me in detail. I followed Tom's treatment plan, and after a few weeks, my golfer's elbow was completely gone! I was so relieved to be able to climb again, and I'm so grateful to Tom for helping me get back to the sport I love. I would highly recommend Physio Chicago to anyone who is suffering from a sports injury. Tom is a great physical therapist, and he will help you get back to your active lifestyle as quickly as possible.
Katie is, without question, the best physical therapist I've seen in twenty years of PT (competitive equestrian - I've got a lot of injuries!). She is empathetic, knowledgable, good-humored, and consistent. She listens and doesn't dismiss questions or concerns. She's a provider who genuinely cares about her patients and their progress - she celebrates wins and helps manage set-backs without judgement. I've seen dozens of PTs, Katie is the only one I've come back to and recommend to anyone who will listen. Whether you're an athlete hoping to recover from an injury and get back to prime form or a regular person hoping to live pain-free, I would recommend Katie full-heartedly. There is nobody better!
I’ve been working with Tom after my meniscus reconstruction surgery and the experience has been fantastic. The space is clean and welcoming, with convenient parking available. Tom takes the time to discuss goals and then sets out a timeline and strategy for achievement, including thoughtful loading and progressions. Unfortunately, I have another surgery coming up but I take comfort in knowing that Physio Chicago will be there to help me through the rehabilitation process. Thanks, Tom and Katie, for creating such a great atmosphere!
If you’re looking for an amazing physical therapist, you’re in the right place. Katie is one of the best physical therapists I know. Her positive energy, extensive knowledge, and creativity are all combined for your needs. She has a ton of experience with a variety of patients from geriatrics to professional athletes. In this field of practice it’s extremely important to adapt your treatment to every individual’s situation and preferences. You without a doubt won’t be treated like just another patient. Keep being great Katie!
As a physical therapist myself, Physio Chicago was a no-brainer choice when rehabilitating a shoulder injury. Katie and Tom create such a welcoming, fun, and collaborative environment, and Katie progressed my exercise program in a thoughtful and specific way to my needs and goals. Having 1:1 care is great to ensure my form is optimal (PTs are people, too!), and the clinic is so bright, clean, and has everything you need. 5 stars, highest recommendations for Physio Chicago!
Physio Chicago is a great clinic, well-equipped and cleanly. I saw Tom for a hamstring issue and he was extremely helpful with getting me back to running higher mileage in a relatively short period of time. He always listened to my feedback/goals so my treatment felt very collaborative. I highly recommend him for any running related injuries.
I highly recommend Physio Chicago due to the personalized attention and wealth of knowledge of both Katie and Tom. I really liked how my treatment plan was individualized to my needs and lifestyle. The overall atmosphere of the clinic was comfortable and I actually had fun during my therapy sessions! Thank You Katie and Tom!
I had a positive experience with Physio after my ACL surgery. I worked with Katie she was very nice and professional, making every session enjoyable. They were also flexible with scheduling, which was a big plus. I was there for about 5 months, and can now enjoy playing soccer and running again.
Katie is a well trained, experienced, and knowledgeable physical therapist. She was my PT for total shoulder rehabilitation, which resulted in an excellent recovery with full painless range of motion. I highly recommend Katie, you will be in good hands.
I have been seeing Tom for a year now since my ACL Surgery and he is been nothing short of amazing. He is always very accommodating to my schedule, he addresses my needs helps get me the care I need. I highly recommend Physio Chicago!
Tom is an amazing therapist! He’s very knowledgeable and he wants to get you back to a pain-free life! Each session is different and it is tailored to you. Definitely recommend Tom and his facility!
Tom, our PT, is outstanding. He has great medical knowledge coupled with the right mindset to support our 15 year old athletic son who is recovering from knee surgery.
Tom and team are the best, you are in the best care with them. He got me back on the basketball court, back on the slopes and now he's also helping my teen athlete.
