"I went today to this branch with the price of the posting having checked online for next day delivery, tracked and signed and it was £5"
If you want your letter to look decent and be sent on time, do not come here. The staff seems to be a family and the younger ones generally do not know that stamps are supposed to be place on the top right corner of an envelope Another problem is there are never enough stamps and they use those big ugly white labels (for bigger parcels) instead, sticking it on your letter, anywhere EXCEPT the right top corner, claiming there is not enough space. As a result, when the letter arrives the destination the overseas mail system cannot detect where the stamp is and will consider your letter unpaid, causing a delay or disappearance of your mail. The worst case so far was two months. As for parcels it is taken better care, but when you ask them things out of their general knowledge, eg. Ems (express mail service), they go blank and only repeat whe they know. I agree other reviewers observation: they do not know their posting services well. Good points: The have a wide selection of post supplies (except stamps). If you are sure what you need just pay and go.
Don’t choose this post office to have things delivered! I’ve made the mistake of doing this three times and every time has been a nightmare for me to get my things quickly, without extra effort or ge them at all - that is if the place is even open on the times it says it will be. Edit to reply to their response. Ive had parcels delivered to the post office - this is a service you offer - and every time there has been an issue. This time, the post office was randomly closed at normal working hours and because of this my parcel was not delivered and then lost. I also had to go out of my way to visit twice as the first time I went it was closed despite it being normal opening hours - just a sign on the door. So it is your service that is bad, it’s not the couriers fault! Don’t offer a service you are not in capacity to provide!
I have to go to this Post Office a lot, because I'm an Ebay seller, but I will start walking further to the next closest branch. This is the worst service I've ever experienced, the man is incredibly rude, and leaves me waiting in line, so he can finish his conversation with his colleague. He then does the bare minimum and hands over my two receipts. When I was asking him a question, he was already back to his conversation with his colleague as I was stood there, in his own language. I asked him again when he noticed I was still stood there, and he then gave me the wrong information. I then asked him where the tracking number on my receipt was, he then replied "Yes, that's your receipt." ... Avoid this place.
They scammed me! I don't recommend this post office. The employees are very rude and besides they scammed me. For sending TWO LETTERS they charged me £25. I went to complained and they told me that it was correct (in a very rude mood). Then I went to another post office to do THE SAME thing and they only charged me £4.50. For that reason I came back a second time to that Post Office with all the tickets from the two post offices and they told me that the other was completely different, when I had sent absolutely the same. In a bad mood again they said me that I wasn’t understanding them and that i was doing that all the clients go to the street!! I WANT MY MONEY BACKK
I went today to this branch with the price of the posting having checked online for next day delivery, tracked and signed and it was £5.82. Then at the post office they told me that the delivery that I asked was £8.95 (yes, a 54% more) I tried to reply but I was told that that was the price for that service and that's it. At home I was checking again in case if it was my fault and I discovered that what they charged me was for the next day delivery, tracked and signed before 1pm which I never asked for it. They lied and cheated on me and is not the first time. Be aware of the tariff you want to use before going there to avoid being stolen like me.
I went yesterday afternoon to send my driving licence by letter. On the desk, a man called Ahad attended me. He was extremely rude. I asked him a few questions about the delivery options and he answered me: "I don't know, you choose... Why do you ask me?". Incredible!. Not only that, but when I was about to pay and asked the price for the envelope, he lied to me. He said it was £76... I asked if he was sure (as it was quite a high price). He then tried to make fun of me and said I have hearing problems... And said it was 76 pences "only for me". Disgusting behaviour. Ahad, remeber his name. Someone in the management should tell him something.
I went at opening (6:20am) to get my driving license renewed, they told me to come back at 8am. Fine. So i return at around 8:25 and they tell me to come back at 11am. I decided to go to another post office where i won't be played around. Whose to say if i went back at 11am they wouldn't telll me to return at 1PM, and then at 4PM, and then at 7PM, and then the next day because they're closing, and then next week, then next month, and so on and so forth until the earth is eventually swallowed by a black hole in the space time continuum.
Advertised closing time 10pm. In reality they close at 6pm, and their staff leave early (eg. 5:50pm). If you do catch them open, they will treat you with disdain. Only in manchester does this happen regularly . I wish there was an alternative. Most manchester post offices & shops are unfortunately quite similar. It’s a result of poor local work ethic in the past few decades. If you want or need a half-decent or polite service, please don’t live in this city- choose any other city (except Birmingham of course).
Called them about a passport which had been dropped off their post office, asking whether they know why it hasnt been processed yet and left the building, considering the fact that I paid £6 to get it next day guaranteed. Its been over a week (when i am currently writing this) and the passport still hasnt left their post office. I was shoo'd off by a worker who told me i should instead contact royal mail, when in fact it was still in their building and i couldve been assisted there and then. What a joke.
Would not recommend the postal services here at all!! Tried to overcharge me for what I was sending, they did not provide me with a 'proof of postage receipt' either and then the post I was sending never arrived to the recipient. After contacting the Royal Mail about this, they were not able to do anything to help or compensate me as I was not given any receipts by the workers here so this post still remains lost. Save yourself the hassle and go to one of the other local post office corners instead!
This Post Office Staffs are freaking worst. They doesn’t know manners and how to respect customers. Service is very rude especially that girl who is working the. Ridiculous service. I went there for deposit money but unfortunately it’s declined so that girl who worked there said rudely you’re card declined take your money and she kept money like throwing something. You should train your staff how to give respect to the customer.
Staff is friendly but opening times can be inaccurate , many times arrived there just before 7:00 am and it was closed despite saying it opens at 6:00 am, or the shop is open but the post office area closed. Please guys open the time you say you open on google or amend it so customers can organise their busy schedule around that. Other than that thanks for having this early morning posting facility.
One of the worst and bad staff I see in my life ever in England. Their is a guy and a girl in this post office omg how the attitude they have. today I come for a applying my driving license but the guy doesn't help me he just say that we don't know how to fill the form and many other things happen I think that a street hawkers gave best service as compared to this staff . Thanks .
Changing from this post office in the future. They constantly try and catch you out to make you pay for the special delivery service even when you've asked for first class. Thought it was just me that it was happening to but weirdly reassuring that its a lot of other people too. Big guy that works there doesn't want to work there and shouldn't to be honest.
Disgusting the big guy used to start singing songs when I would walk in something I saw this girl my heart went out. Made me feel so uncomfortable tried to ignore it once but he did it the second time. Seems like a creep and to be honest his not even someone I'd go out with. I stopped going here after feeling uncomfortable. Absolutely disgusting
I don’t really have a problem with the staff but a few times they chat to colleagues in their own language and leave you standing there which Ithink is unprofessional but what’s worried me is in the last couple of months I have posted 2 items for eBay and the buyers haven’t received them so I wobe going again to this branch
One of the men this morning lost his temper. Could’ve simply explained that the reason for charging 50% more than Royal Mail, is due to it being a completely different business. Instead, was very patronising, using terms like ‘black and white’, serving other customers and ignoring me. Chill out m8.
Appalling customer service. The man behind the counter was beyond rude and condescending. Was able to put me in a bad mood, which is rare. After that unpleasant experience, I went to another post office just 5 minutes away and the service was completely different. I'll never return to this place.
The worst, unprofessional staff I’ve ever seen. Although, I’ve got an email from home office that says my BRP is in this post office, the staff didn’t bother himself to locate that, and kept saying it’s not here . They made me going back and forth to get My BRP which was there from the beginning.
Never enough staff during busy periods (weekday lunchtime) but they are always really efficient. Since the town hall post office closure, I have been coming here and while it lacks the self service tells and the friendly staff of that office, I am happy with the overall service received.
I visited there for a few times... I can conclude that the lady there hates their customers. The other male staffs are a bit nicer. Sometimes, I would rather walk 2 more minutes to another post office at Mosley Street, just want to have a peace of mind. …
They don't know what "sign for" means... And they only wanted to sell me a product which was 5x more expensive, even if I was showing them what i need on the royal mail website... Ridiculous. I have seen bad service from royal mail but this was over the top.
Sometimes the staff take a break from speaking to each other (in ther own language) and will get round to serving you. They have no issues with talking and joking with each other while you are just stood there waiting. Worst customer service in Manchester
Best post office in the city center ignore the previous comments that talk badly about this establishment, from my experience staff are amazing can't do anything more to help! And for a city centre post office the wait times are minimal. Thanks !!! Rob
Says open til 10pm but if you're going to pick up a parcel they just say 'limited service after 6pm' and tell you to come back tomorrow! Stupid...basically the post office is open til 6 and the overpriced souvenir shop open til 10pm!
Bad service, today has been last time I will walk in this place, employees should being trained how to do properly their job,but the employees today ,no one given them a training.i don't know why they are even working .it's disgusting
Could give 0 if I could. Instead of sending a postal order for my licence, they sent next day with £10 worth of stamps. When I tried to explain their mistake, the lady was incredibly rude. Awful manners and awful service.
I tend to go after 9am and they are sometimes open late in the evenings so there’s hardly any queues. If you go at lunch time, you’ll get a large queue. The staff seem pleasant to me and it’s in s convenient spot.
Extremely rude and impatient short woman behind the post office counter on Tuesday 31st January 2023 at 16:40! I won’t be using this post office or Amazon hub at this location ever again, that’s for sure. Avoid!
Used their services recently to post something to a remote European address that private couriers refused to deliver to. The lady behind the counter was very helpful. In and out in 5 minutes. Great experience!
The employees here cannot be serious. Was the most unprofessional staff I’ve ever seen. The tarifs are ambiguous and was overcharged 5 pounds at least. Do not come here go to other branch if possible
Really bad service on top of that sent some documents back to China and were never received. Been about a month now. They advised 7-10 days. Never sending anything off from this post office again.
I use this post office weekly and yes like most city centre establishments there will be a que most of the time but the staff here are friendly, quick and efficient. What more do people need.
Staff is always very helpful and cooperative I want to appreciate a lady staff for extra ordinary and wonderful services in Piccadilly Post office she is really hard working and helping
I would like to thank the very nice lady for helping me create some boxes. She was so helpful. The staff that took my parcel were also absolutely amazing...the service here is stellar.
This post office is inside the Londis store at the back. There is usually a queue here and not many counter staff. Advise avoiding this post office at lunch times when it is busiest.
Went there for paying car tax. The counter SUPPOSED TO OPEN AT 8, but BECAUSE THE STAFF LIVE FAR AWAY, THEY ARE LATE AND THE COUNTER NEVER OPEN. Be professional guys 16/08/22
You can requested second class postage ten time and will still leaving having paid for First class. Made too feel like I was part of a dirty con. Be wary for over charging.
Went here a couple of times. line is usually long during lunch. not enough staff to ask questions, instead you will have to stand in line to ask someone from the counter.
The staff won't really help or check again about my documents they received. They just say come next week without even take my contact details to let me know. Very bad
Rude staff and security accusing me of stealing a 50p envelope which I did in fact pay for. No apologies for wrongfully accusing me and treating me like a criminal.
Very rude staff and very unprofessional the asain. Manger is very bad service should review his customer service as he has a bad attitude towards his customers
Hit and miss Sometimes the staff are fast friendly and helpful Other times they can be rude, unhelpful and too busy talking to each other rather than serving.
Staff are lovely and always helpful but despite have 8 counters there are never more than three staff. So as long as you have time to queue it’s great!
The staff here are extremely rude and not at all helpful for the customers and especially a guy in the parcels return section . Worst experience
They scammed me with the money too and the staff was very very rude. Not recommending to anyone...please go to some other post office folks.
The worst post office. Horrible services and rude staffs. Very impatient. Would be better if I've go to the one near the market street.
Extremely rude staff. Regret going there. Not sure how they’re still in business when they don’t show any respect to their customers.
They're closed Sunday but they're still advertised as an Amazon pickup location for that day, with the generous hours of 8am-8pm.
They were really helpful going through their records to track down a receipt for a recorded delivery I'd lost, much appreciated.
very impersonal service, I was barely acknowledged..I'm sorry for interrupting the staff's conversation with my custom.
This is the only post office that always have an issue with my parcels. Staff not very pleasant, and long waiting time.
What a great post office. There was quite a big line but they had enough staff to deal with it so moved very quickly.
The staff is wonderful and helpful. Despite it being Sunday, we still got our packages. Once more, many thanks!
The worst post office Poor customer service No attention to detail DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE YOU WILL REGRET IT
Today i went for deposit of money the customer service is nice its not busy but there is only one employee.
Says on the post office website that they close at 6.. 1PM and it’s closed. Wasted trip, avoid this place.
Service in this post office is very good comparing to the other one in the city centre - Spring Gardens.
The staff there was really really helpful and stayed beyond her shift to help me out. Thank you Kaajal.
I don't see they are open at 6am everyday, they have flexible opening hours... so don't expect too much
I'd been there only twice but this is what I think. Staff are rude at times and not much helpful.
It was morning quite long queue, but I send parcel really fast, no delays good fast service.
I use it every week friendly staff and quite quick. Recommend rather than Spring Garden's
Rude. Wouldn’t exchange notes for free despite what it says on the post office website.
Deliberately lure me to use pricy service. Bad attitude is ALL they had. Do not come!
Unfriendly and the opening hours are not the same on the google map nor the website.
Google says it closes at 7pm on Monday. I came at 6:15 and it was already closed!
Excellent service, the only Royal Mail post that wanted to accept my packages!
Very bad experience!! Amazon said Reyurns is free But they ask me for money …
Staff member saj is very helpful and friendly, amazing customer service
Bad service and the staff always try their best to con customer money.
They charge 10% fee if you want to exchange old pounds to new pounds
Excellent service. Post office staff was really friendly and kind.
This post office closed maybe 4pm every day please don’t trust
The slowest service I have ever seen in a Post Office!
rude, they don't guide you well, they work badly
Plenty of souvenirs to choose from.
Ok place to use on my way to work
Nice staff member. Good service.
Full marks for all your help
