"Such a neat store! My boyfriend and I went and spent over an hour looking through all the books"
A charming place filled with warmth and smell of real books! At the turn of every corner you're encountered with surprise after surprise. We stopped for a quick gander and left with four books. The prices are great and range greatly. The vault is a must see! And the blind date with the book sounds enticing enough to bring me back next time I'm in town. Lastly the service is phenomenal. The store clerk was welcoming and tremendously helpful. Thank you for such a wonderful little escape!
Cute little bookshop. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Excellent selection of books across many genres including an extensive collection of older volumes. Curiosities and rarities abound. Organization in a small shop like this is tough and I don't have terribly high expectations of any independent bookshop in this regard, but the proprietor is doing a great job of it. Highly recommended for book enthusiasts.
I love this bookstore. It is organized, clean, excellent selection, reasonable prices. And the owner, Cheryl is knowledgeable about what is in the store. She also goes out if her way to find what you are looking for and to suggest great alternatives in case you can’t find it. I came in looking fir Agatha Christie and was introduced to some fabulous new (to me) authors.
I've driven passed Pickwick Books for years and I finally gave in to curiosity and went in. It will not be the last time. The shelves are packed full of every kind of book you could imagine - I could have spent hours there and only scratched the surface! It feels cozy and eccentric and the staff are amazingly helpful. Don't keep driving by this jem!
Such a neat store! My boyfriend and I went and spent over an hour looking through all the books. The vault was definitely really neat as well- that's where you'll find most of the history books. The prices are pretty good and you'll definitely find unique books you didn't know you even existed but that you won't be able to put down.
A really wonderful used bookshop - very well organized, with great service. Our questions were answered promptly and we were given help finding what we were looking for. There was an especially impressive young readers section. I wish I'd had more time to browse. I could have spent hours :)
A nice quaint place, with a community friendly credit system, a wide variety of books, and very friendly and helpful staff, and very quiet. I would absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking for a quick book read for a very low price for gently used books. 4.5 Stars
I love books and this store gives previously loved books a chance to be read by another. Books are in sections, genres to make finding what you want easier. The store is well lit and the lady staffing the store was friendly. If you like books, this is worth a visit.
Pickwick books has been my favorite little book shop to visit for years. It is such a relaxing little place to visit. Marnie the new owner is such a lovely person and such a pleasure to chat with. We need to keep these magical little book shops alive. …
I’ve shopped here in person, as well as ordered one of their boxes of books for delivery. Pickwick is my absolute favourite used book store, they’re always so kind and their selection is amazing every time. I highly recommend visiting and supporting them!
I've passed this little book store several times on non business hours. Yesterday I was driving passed and it was open! It's a quaint book shop with several books for any genre. The woman who assisted me was very friendly and helped me find
This is by far my favourite bookstore, I would go out of my way to visit Pickwick! There is something comforting and quaint about the atmosphere of the store, and they always have an outstanding selection. Although it seems small, you could
Cheryl could take a lesson in phone etiquette. I had called to get clarification on their credit system as I have a sizeable collection of classics and rare titles I wanted to bring in. She was abrupt and condescending, which is really too
A small, quaint shop in a historic building with a massive collection of used books could only mean heaven for all book lovers. They have a great sci-fi and mystery collection too! And that vault... step inside and you'll feel like you've
After being forced into a family outing under the scorching sun, it was nice to take refuge inside the bookstore. Initially I thought it would be awkward to walk around a bookstore during the quarantine, I wasn't sure if I'd be allowed to
What a great little book store! There's so much variety and the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable! My wife and I visited yesterday and bought two books, we will definitely be back when we are in the area again.
Great place to spend an hour looking through the massive amount of books they have, trying to narrow it down to the ones I want. Fair prices and trade ins for store credit make reading affordable.
There's something here for everyone. Great selection and very reasonable prices! Such a cozy and quaint place. If you guys had a coffee shop, I'd probably spend the whole day here!
Wonderful place to browse lots of variety and well defined sections. Don't be shy and look what is hiding behind the first row of books on the shelves. This place is a gem.
It was a great experience! Lovely shop, organized, with a plethora of selection from various publishers! Found a beautiful copy of Dostoevsky, "Crime and Punishment."
Best little used bookstore in the area, in a cool historical building. Friendly staff, great quality, check out the old bank vault in the corner of the shop!
Neat and well organized with lots of selection + Marnie is very helpful and welcoming. Pickwicks -- just another great reason to stay and shop in Waterdown!!
They have so many used books it's hard to choose. If your looking specifically for one they usually can source out what you want. Excellent place.
I have had a great customer experience at Pickwick Books today. I can’t wait to be back and explore more. The place is a must if you’re in town.
A very charming little book store, and I've always found the people working here to be wonderful. Strongly recommend!
Awesomely quirky small town bookstore. The staff is always helpful and there is always a great selection of books.
Such a neat store! Staff is so friendly and helpful. Bought a book from a local author, so far it's amazing!
I am in LOVE with this place. I'd like to just live there but they won't let me …
Well organized and charming little shop!
Wonderful place to visit and buy books!
