"I had Banoffee (banana toffee) pie for the first time years ago in St"
First-time visitor. I was absolutely blown away by the quality and flavour of the little pies I purchased. Spinach and feta hand pie was stuffed with flavourful filling in a delicate butter pastry crust. The quiche was, bar none, absolutely the best quiche I have EVER tasted. The filling was very soft and delicate and tasted sublime. I also purchased a mini pear custard pie foe dessert, lovely, but I would try a different flavour next time. There is a good selection of all kinds of interesting looking varieties of both sweet and savory treats. I plan to go back, even though it is quite out of my way. They have a Frozen section to take home for later. They can make any pie gluten-free. I was told with 24 hours' notice. If you look at the pies individually, you might think they are quite expensive and you would be right. But you could spend at least that much at MacDonalds or A&W and not get anywhere near the taste or quality of food. Looked at that way, they are a bargain. Even though it is 100km away, I will be back. Well worth a visit.
I'm a big fan of the pies otherwise this review would be lower. My wife and I were very excited when this opened near our house. We Made an order when they first opened for pick up later in the week, for what ever reason they had no record of this order. Not only that they insisted I was in the wrong until I was able to get my wife to send me the confirmation she received. Luckily they still had 1 or 2 left of the pie we ordered and slipped in a card for 10% off as an apology. I'm not upset about the order as much as im upset about an employee trying to pass that off as an apology when its a standard practice for orders as every box comes with one of those cards in it. Own the mistake and if you are making an apology or excuse don't lie, it cheapens the apology and I still have a sour taste in my mouth. Note: The initial incident was late November, and we've bought a few pies since and only just now had time to leave this review.
We happened upon the Crowfoot location by accident. Loving savory pies we wanted to give it a try. Customer service was awesome and the space was clean. The attendant went through the process of how the pies are made mentioning that the crust was all butter. So we were very excited. We purchased the Mixed Berry pie, Banana Toffee, Butter Chicken pie and the Jamaican hand pie. Our excitement was short-lived. The crust was not flaky at all. It was hard. When warmed (following included instructions), so much fat was left on the baking tray. The fillings were delicious but the crust ruined it. The crust on the banana toffee was under-baked. I don't mind paying $9/$10 a pie, but not when you can't even cut through the crust. I don't think I'll be going back unless I hear that the crust has improved.
Don't order online. My order was lost and the time it took to find someone who could help track it down was mind-numbing. In the end, my order was delivered by well after the 10am-1pm delivery window and by the time it arrived, the recipient had gone away for the weekend. I placed the order 8 days prior to the date on which i wanted the order shipped - so plenty of time to hit the delivery window. Once they tracked down the order through their 3rd party delivery service, I received no empathy over the situation at all. Regardless of missing the delivery window as promised and any chance of enjoying the product by the recipient who was now out of town, the case was closed in their mind. Great Pie - Terrible delivery/customer service.
I had Banoffee (banana toffee) pie for the first time years ago in St. Lucia. I have been searching for a comparable pie since and have finally found it. The crunchy, flakey crust, with a good amount of banana and toffee center, beautifully piped with real whip cream makes this one the winner. It's very sweet so even the individual size is a lot for one person. Everything about the pie is reminiscent of my first. Subsequently, I have tried other flavours and all are perfected to a very high standard. I am not a pie enthusiast by any means, but this place is the only place I will buy pies. I also enjoy the natural fibre (wood) band embossed with their name around each pie. Easy to re-use or simply compost. Very smart.
I ordered the 16 dollar special which included a savoury pie, soup and cookie. Cookie: 10/10. Pie: 10/10 (with an exception to the heating instructions which needed to be precise. I heated it at 350 until the puddle of butter showed and it was cold in the middle). Soup: 1/10. Watery, too much pepper, almost inedible. The prices were as to be expected, but asking for a tip was a bit much. Should pay your employees instead of asking for a tip for doing their jobs. They’re not waiting tables. Overall very delightful and delicious

Chicken Pot Pie
Wow, this was amazing and totally surpassed my expectations! The banana toffee pie was sooo delicious and I normally don’t even like bananas. I also had the brownie pie which was excellent. The salted honey wasn’t my favourite - just a bit too salty for me but others may enjoy it. As the other reviewers mentioned, the crusts were a little hard on the small pies but it didn’t really bother me. If they were a bit softer, it would take the pies from a 9.5 to a 10. I’m going to try heating them up next time to see if it helps. Still amazing though, I will definitely be going back!
Good selection. I wasn’t overly impressed. They are pies. Not particularly better than other places, except they had some good flavours. The banana Carmel one was good. The crust is a bit dry and on the smaller pies there’s just too much of it. I’d rather just a piece of the big pie, so the crust to filling ratio is better. But they don’t do individual slices, just smaller personal pies. I will say I didn’t try a bigger pie so maybe those are better with the amount of crust.
Delicious pies!!! Our favourites are the brie and chutney and Aussie beef savory pies. Favorite sweet pies are the classic apple and chocolate hazelnut. The salted honey is a good one to try if you're looking for nut and gluten free. We also like some of the seasonal pies like the mini egg one! They are quite pricey but you're paying for quality and craftsmanship. We have to go back to try the soups and get the lunch special since it's a pretty good deal!
We were so excited when we picked up our strawberry and white chocolate pie. It was nicely decorated. But the excitement dropped drastically when we served the pie. The crust was so hard and it feels the crust was pre made long time ago. The fillings was so runny that the pie collapsed on the serving plate. We ended up eating the fillings first and then the crust separately. We couldn't even put a fork through the crust. Super disappointing.
Absolutely love every pie I've tried here. I've tried almost all of the sweet ones they offer and I can't say I had one I didn't enjoy. I've only tried 2-3 of their savour pot pies and those were also great. The only minor issue I have is the price. It is a little more expensive here, but you are paying for good quality so I can't complain too much about it honestly. Can't speak to the other locations but this one hasn't let me down yet.
It was nice to stop by Pie Junkie to grab a sweet pie for my family dinner gathering. The shop had a nice vibe and the staff there was very friendly. Everything was made fresh daily. They have all kinds of pies and soup to choose from. I really like their sweet pies. I got the Key Lime pie and the price was very reasonable. The taste was refreshing and not too sweet. The sweet pie was a nice dessert and everyone of us enjoyed it.
My wife recently picked up a key lime pie for me for my birthday. Key lime is my absolute favorite and growing up in the southern US I thought that I had experienced the best that there was. I was wrong. The Pie Junkie’s key lime was absolutely the best key lime pie I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot. She also picked up some other small pies and the were all fantastic as well. Thank you for the amazing pie!
I've had a lot of pie junkie pies over the years but had never previously bought one myself. The pies are great. The selection in store leaves a little to be desired. The expectation of a tip on the payment machine is annoying. A good option when you're looking for something a little different but if you want a good fruit filled pie you'd probably be better off going somewhere else.
We picked up a 'classic apple pie'. The filling was tart which was excellent. However, we enjoy an apple pie that has the apples fully cooked. This is a personal preference, as some folks prefer a very textured apple filling when the apples are 50 to 75 % cooked. The pastry was not flakey, in fact it was tough. Given the price point, I think we can do better elsewhere.
Amazing and consistent product. Might even say a touch better than the first time I wandered into their first location years ago. Unfortunately, their prices have understanbly (inflation, covid, taxes) risen too much to justify too many more visits. If you have extra coin though, by all means, worth every penny! Oh, and their Jamican Patties are really delicious!
Really friendly staff and fresh pies, with cookies not as much seating but an awesome taste of the flavors of the pies. The classic apple pie is delicious a bit too sweet though.

The pies here are absolutely amazing. They also do hot pies if you can wait 10 mins for them to heat it up in the oven. No exaggeration at all the pastry and fillings are the best I’ve ever eaten. This store is great and I would strongly recommend you give it a visit. The single pies are $6-$10 and they’re really filling and 100% worth it.
We received a pie as a coworker didn't want it. Their loss. The banana toffee pie (although literally free to us!) has made me a customer. I'm not even a banana fan and I gobbled this down with a smile. Absolutely delicious! I think I managed to get the words "this is amazing pie" in between bites.
We just tried this for the first time! Overall, the location was nice and the woman working was polite and knowledgeable. The pies themselves were great, although not as good as I had imagined them. Still, I recommend checking this place out for your pie fix. The small pies are perfect for picnics.
Great pies...we always buy many of the small pies to enjoy more flavors. Banana pudding is my favourite so far...my wife loves the lemon meringue and the chocolate peanut butter. I also had a few hand pies for my lunch..also very good! Staff is very friendly and pleasant. Strong recommendation!
The staff needs to be more aware of hygiene. Picked up my item with her gloved hand but then went to touch the tablet and manage the machine for payment. Then proceeded with the same dirty glove grab pie for the next customer. Will never return again base on lack of cleanliness and hygiene.
My first time at Pie Junkie. Amazing customer service, I was greeted by Lauren. She answered all my questions, recommended some pies and she let me know about other Pie Junkie locations. The place is welcoming and the butter tarts were delicious. Come try this place it will not disappoint.
As I was saying ma'am, I travel the world eating great food. When I had your Banana Toffee and the Keylime Pies, I had an epiphany. I will leave my wife for you! Those pies were nothing short of sublime - the flavors, textures, balance, and presentation. Thank you and God bless you!
Today was my first time visiting this store, I was welcomed by a lovely lady and her customer skills were top-notch! I bought few like pies and they were delicious! And I have to say that I loved the decoration on the pies. Their Pies are Perfect to buy and give the as a gift!
Amazing. Great service. Lady working solo this Friday evening had a big rush of people come in right before closing and still served everyone with a welcoming smile on her face. Amazing products. Lots of variety in sweet and savoury. 10/10 have come back at least 20 times
Very enthousiastic and team spirited. Many thanks to you, Lamis, Molly and Stephanie, for your kindness and for going above and beyond while helping us choose the best pies ever. Our bellies were so happy to enjoy them by the river in Lake Louise. Merci beaucoup!!
Definitely a great experience. First time trying this spot, glad we stopped. Banana toffee pie was delicious. Steak and stout was great, and really loved the Jamaican hand pie (probably one of the best I've ever had). Keep it up Junkie...we will be back!
Great pie place. I highly recommend the banana & toffee pie. Its so good! However, their pies are really pricey tho so we only get one on special occasions. Also, i find their crusts really thick! Would help if they can thin it out a little bit.
Tried 2 different pies with a gift card we had. The apple one was a little bit tart but both tasted good. That being said i was expecting a lot more because of how expensive the pies are. I'll stick to Costco or supermarket pies from now on.
Tried the following pie flavours so far: Banana toffee - phenomenal Salted honey - delicious Maple pecan - scrumptious Mocha chocolate - rich and tasty Chicken pot pie - amazingly good Clearly I’m an addict! The pies here just can’t be beat
This is an amazing store. It has wonderful pies, both savory and sweet, in a large number of varieties--old classics as well as original creations. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Making purchases there is a genuinely pleasant
Love this place! All of their of pies and desserts are amazing. You can't go wrong. My go to place when I am in Calgary. Staff are knowledgeable about ingredients. I really wish that they would open a location in Edmonton.
Delicious pies with natural ingredients. But probably not recommended if you're on a diet to lose weight LoL

Really impressed with the quality and love that is put into this brand and business. The pies are delicious (I’m a big fan of the savory, especially the Butter Chicken!) I’m also so happy there’s now a north location!
Heavenly pies! The whole experience was so wonderful that I'll definitely recommend this store/brand to my friends. To the whole crew of Crowfoot and Kensington locations, thank you for everything that you do.
Their food is not clean, after eating their pies, I got bad diarrhea. Employee there used her hand to grab food and put into the paper bag although there's clips on the side. Not impressive, won't go again.
An amazing delicious homemade bakery, we had a date ordered soup a savory pie and dessert such incredible service and the food was behond expections. Such a beautiful littel homey delicious delight …
The Pie Junkie is my favourite! I love the fact that there is 4 stores, because I can always find a location. The pastry is the best! Sweet and savory, I honestly love them all. Try it you will love it.
Pie Junkie, we just ate your Turkey Dinner Pie. Mind blown in a good way. Pie will never be the same again. These are low fat right? We can eat this everyday right? Please say yes. …
Literally my favourite place on the planet! Had a savoury and sweet pie and both were 10/10! I wish I lived in Calgary so I could eat here every day and try all the new pies they come up with!
Pie Junkie is a game-changer! The banana toffee pie is seriously the best I've ever had. Five out of five because they nailed it! If you're into pies, this place is a must-try. …
As well as being de-LISH, the meat pies are SO filling. I love this place and grab a bite whenever i am in the neighborhood, it also makes me feel good to support a local small business.
New location ; much needed location in the north. My personal favourite is banana toffee. Charges $0.20 cents for a bag. Also those $9 savoury pie are little expensive compare to size.
Extremely delicious and much appreciated quality ingredients. Even the Cheesecake is alright to eat if you have halal restrictions, and I think it’s the same with all the sweet stuff.
My go to place for sweet pies and hand pies when my wife and I don’t feel like doing meal preparation

Amazing apple pie!!! This is top five of my favorite new pie joints. It tastes very similar to what my mum makes..... and made be have all sorts of feelings. Thanks so much!
Amazing pies, just absolutely perfect! They literally turned us into junkies of their pies and we are happily staying to be so. Our fav is banana toffee and key lime.
Savory pies are alright. The crust could use some work. Very crumbly vs flaky and surprisingly very greasy when reheated. The key lime pie was on point though …
Friendly service with great freshly baked pies. Wish there were a bit more selections, but the ones that are available are wonderful. Prices are a bit hefty though.
Gone a couple times now. Pies are good. Not great. Sweet are way better than savory. Key Lime pie is the best one. Customer service could be better.
Very very underwhelming. Not worth the high price they charge. Purchased chicken pot pie and quiche. Very disappointed. Will not buy there again.
I tried a couple chocolate pies, cookies and a brownie. The pie filling was delicious but the crust wasn't. The brownie and cookies are average.
At Pie Junkie, they create delicious pies and the staff is incredibly friendly. One particular favorite of ours is the banana toffee pie!
My favs are the Jamaican hand pie and the banana toffee pie. The crust is a bit too chewy on most pies but the flavours are quite good.
They never disappoint! I didn’t have time to wait to heat up a pie, they gave me one fresh from the oven. Taste is always on point!!
AMAZING!!! thank you!! love your high quality product, presentation, and the fact that you have all compostable packaging …
Excellent service. Friendly staff, good choices of pies, small serving or large/ family size options. Tasty pies and good variety.
Recently moved into the neighborhood and saw this place. Glad we checked it out. Tasty treats both savory and sweet. Will be back
Horrible pies just not worth it cocunat pie only has sprinkles on top banana pie only has the taste of the banana the rest no
Wow los Pie Junkie super delicious el el chico que nos atendio super amable. Sin duda volveremos a regresar. …
Loved all three sweet pies that I purchased. Didn't realize they did special order gluten free pie crusts also.
Pies are good and very filling. They'll cost you though. Bang for your buck there are better options.
Incredibly over priced for a less than good pie. Sorry, but that purchase will be a one and done.
For anyone that loves butter, awesomely flakey pastry and amazing food, this is where you need to
Pies are good. Im not a fan of the crusts they do for the pies i like gram cracker guy myself
The best raspberry cheesecake I’ve ever had. Definitely will go back
The staff is very friendly, the salted honey pie is so delicious!
